I installed everything and the game is running like it should, I also installed all the DLC's found in the torrent download but now the game seem to have both halloween and christmas related themes mixed together? I tried explaining it in the parenthesis. The C Drive Documents is the default system save file. You gotta understand that you're going to have two separate folders. One is the game root folder (where you mos tlikely downloaded the game file) and the other will be the sys game file which is where the txt file will go. This is how my game folder looks. ANotice the drive and folders compared to next. This is where the patch file needs to go. This folder on the C drive is made by default when you first start up a game.

That first one, did you create that file or was it created by the game? I understand the second one is created by the game. But if you created that first one then that makes sense why it's not working. I explained in the steps to make sure to start a game after a fresh install. When a game is started the game will make folders that is most likely that second shot. So move your txt. file over to that other one that was created by the game.
hey guys i had the same problem, i couldn't uncensor the game even with the "fuckcensorship.txt" file, but i figured it out, you have to put the file "fuckcensorship.txt" not in the file that you download and extract but in the file document/eek/house party/mod/censorship and that should uncensor your game (hopefully, it worked for me so I hope it will work for you too) have fun ;)

Hmmm..... Played fine for a couple days... but I am pretty sure there was 3 play modes and now there are only 2. But the main issue is all the characters vanished and there are quest items available that shouldn't be available. I tried re-extracting the zip file and playing from there but get the same bug... so must be a file else where that is screwing things up that I haven't found yet.

I was having the same problem, and after a bit of experimenting solved it by just moving the "http://app.info" file out of HouseParty_Data folder. Won't pretend to know why that works, but give it a try.

...not I think you are mistaken. This game was released in June 2017 and recommended specs are fairly high -like 8GB RAM, a decent video RAM too with 2GB dedicated memory. For some reason I thought this was an old game released long ago, hence why I though perhaps my laptop could run it LOL oops.

Ok I have a hypothesis. Your windows version may be the problem despite the recommended is windows XP, Windows 7 might not be able to run the game with 4gb ram because the game needs 8gb ram to run smoothly without error and your 4gb is the minimum so you could possibly expect a few errors.

Either your joking or being serious but specs are like your Windows version like foe e.g windows 10, your intel processor, you NIVIDIA GEFORCE version (if you have NIVIDIA) and what I was trying to say was your computer can't run it because those specs are too low. :)

Just ran into a problem with the game, I have progressed and got to an ending and saved and it loads it perfectly, but I have made another save with another ending and when I load that particular ending it shows the loading screen then just displays a black screen whereas the other save doesn't. EDIT: So I have 3 files, two have an ending lined up and the other leads to either of those endings. One that leads to an ending is not loading whereas the other 2 are.

You must have done the mod wrong, follow all the steps to mod uncensored version. Download text document and place in mod Go here: C:\Users[YOUR PC NAME]\Documents\Eek\House Party\Mods\Censorship In that folder ^ you must have a txt document called "FuckCensorship" no spaces, follow the guide from Eek games! EDIT: heres how to do it exactly:
GO to the website provided in the text document on the game download
Download the zip file from that website containing the txt file
Extract the zip file and there should be a text document in there called "FuckCensorship"
Place this file in this exact folder on its own, C:\Users[YOUR PC NAME]\Documents\Eek\House Party\Mods\Censorship (also change your pc name to your actual pc name to locate folder).
Run game and press ESC and untick the censor option, press 'P' then look down, if you see a penis then it has worked, if you see a massive censor sign then you have done it wrong. Hope This Helps
The steam version is the same, the only difference is that everything is censored however if you go on Eek's website you can download a .txt file which will get rid of the censor. And yes, I do think that you will need that .txt file from 0.6.6.

ahh I understand, with the phone there are 2 bathrooms, its not the main bathroom its the master one located in madisons room, to the right on the sink there is her phone. With the launcher you should open the steam versions, 64 if your system is 64 and the other if its 32. This should work if not, redownload (av might be responsible for file problems) then the launcher should work.
Run x64 steam launcher run as admin, pc must meet requirements. If problem persists then it might be a bad file so redownload the game bare in mind that anti virus can affect files. Madisons phone is up the stairs to the right in her room, it's a big room and to the left of her bed is a bathroom (master), on the sink to the right is her phone Hope this helps I had to retype since igg didn't let me post until checked.
You should use the steam launcher without steam open, also run as administrator. if the game doesn't launch at all on 64bit steam launcher for your system then you might have to redownload the whole thing and don't forget anti virus can be the cause of bad files. There are 3 bathrooms, madisons bathroom has her phone located on the sink to the right (madisons room is to the right when you go upstairs and is a big room with a bathroom to the left of the bed) I hope this helps, if not let me know

Got the 0.8.3 version and when i'm launching the game it's say downloading latest stories from the server then an error message appear and say "There was an error writing the story files to your documents folder. Please ensure the appication has proper permissions." and the Start a new game button stay grey
And after that I have to manually restart it by plugging out the power.

I have progressed and got to an ending and saved and it loads it perfectly,
but I have made another save with another ending and when I load that particular ending it shows the loading screen then just displays a black screen whereas the other save doesn't.
EDIT: So I have 3 files, two have an ending lined up and the other leads to either of those endings. One that leads to an ending is not loading whereas the other 2 are.

With the launcher you should open the steam versions, 64 if your system is 64 and the other if its 32. This should work if not, redownload (av might be responsible for file problems) then the launcher should work.
