For everyone that struggles finding the folder to put the crack in - Go to the root absolver folder (should be Absolver Downfall) from there you should be able to navigate along the path. The full path should look like this: Absolver Downfall\Engine\Binaries\ThirdParty\Steamworks\Steamv141\Win64
For those having problems simply rename the game directory and it will work (or reinstall to a differently named directory). I think it's caused by installing into the same named directory as an older version and Windows having stored some assumptions about the previous exe.
In my case I uninstalled the GOG release and installed the new Codex release and got these errors

You need to launch it from the desktop shortcut that was created. If you don't have one then run it from ...\Absolver Downfall\Absolver\Binaries\Win64\Absolver-Win64-Shipping.exe
Is it just me or are the updates all taking forever to complete? been stuck on the first update for more than an hour and usually these updates take minutes at most.

Pretty sure it's just you, buddy. I haven't had any problems for quite a while and actually checked my PC for any AdWare, Malware and such right now and found nothing. If you DO have any problems, get a good Antivirus and AdBlock, as it helps block these problems.

both of them have problem. mouse user cant use its ability easily because its triggered from mouse movement. gamepad user cant change stance easily due to its combination key+analog.
It does. Just confirmed this myself. This is what i do: -download 1.05 version from above. -get steamfix, extract. -open steam, add non steam games, find your Absolver folder. Done. Got my ass kicked in PvP. It took me a while to find one.

No it's gog release so you don't have to crack anything, the instructions on the page is just the usual as for most of pages around, sometimes igg does write no need to crack (gog release)
The game works absolutely fine, it's just that..There are some places around the map that are left un-rendered ! Either your drivers arent setup, your game wasnt installed/Downloaded correctly or even extracted (Meaning something is missing therefore the reason it stops working) Or your computer cant handle the game and it doesnt work on launch. Hope this helps, im no expert but ive fixed enough to know something.
Sry for going ape shit because it was the fifth time that day i found someone saying its impossible to play cracked games, and trust me, you can play with people on official servers, believe what you want but you can in some exceptions as in escapists and such as osiris, while most you cant, just next time you say something tell them there are ways, there are possibilities, and there are exceptions, instead of singling out every game and saying they dont work at all. It just shuts down people's hopes.
The combat being slow is due to the fact that you're playing newbie levels, you need to time your movements right to get a "Golden movement" and therefore do a fast flurry of blows, i enjoyed the game, thats my opinion.
the core-i7 mentioned, is a first generation core-i7, the core-i5 is a fourth generation. there are like seven generations of the core i-3, 5, and 7 series. the more recent the generation, the more powerful it is, a 4th gen core i-5 easily beats out a 1st gen core i-7.
After 8hours of gane i realized that you NEED the online mide to finish the gane (yo can playa it offline but the endings/story continuity is done through the servers with a curency that You get un the PvP so shit, i'll buy it con sales then)

Deceit has master server but you can still play it in LAN with friends. Lots of games use steam as a login master server and you know what ? STEAMWORK EXIST AND WORK !!! It make it believe steam that you're playing Spacewars so you can join steam friends on the same cracked games. So next time instead of missguiding new peoples , keep your mouth shut...
I'm sorry but the developers have never witnessed a person making a PUNCH or an actual fight. This is the slowest, most plodding looking combat I have ever seen in a game. Watch any fight and someone will get 4-5 hits in before someone can even react or in an MMA fight when someone is doing ground and pound they get several shots in before the ref can even notice. The human hand can move very fast and create a ton of power, but this is so comical and slow and the thud thud that happens between hits is just dreadful. The developers of this game have never seen a human punch another human I am convinced. Thanks for the upload, but I just don't see how they could possibly have fucked this up so badly.

if the game doesnt rely on a server than it can be played online. Which most modern online games do now a days. Though a couple dont like tekken 7 and friday the 13th.
There's alot of games you people dont know that work perfectly on multiplayer without dedicated servers, osiris new dawn, escapists 2 for example connect directly to steam servers and work without a single issue online, you also have Tunngle wich isnt a crack but its a worldwide known server hoster wich lots of people use and is super easy to use, so as for online play in games, if you dont mind the constant redownload due to patching, just go for it its not that unlikely nowadays.
