Trying to play the game ROKH, and it has 2 folders which both having executables and batch files. Trying to run the executable in WindowsClient folder I get an error saying "Couldn't start: "ROKH\Rokh\WindowsClient\Rokh\Binaries\Win64\RokhClient.exe" CreateProcess() returned 2. " which I assume I need to launch the server or something...I try to launch RokhServer.exe and literally nothing happens. I use the steam launchers and still nothing. I can use CreateServer.bat to create a server but afterwards nothing changes. I cant start the server or the database (.bat) and I run out of things i can really do. can you please help!!!
right click on StartClient.bat and select Edit, Then change RokhClient.exe to LAUNCHER_x64.exe. save then double click it to start game. You can create server in server browser. It's for Lan only. Remember to go back to server browser screen after you finished playing and press stop server. Then Press start server next time you want to play. Server can take up to 10 min to start depending on how good your PC is so just refresh every few min until it appears. Make sure you allow it through firewall aswell.
go to >WindowsClient>LAUNCHER_x64>open the game , pres play.. game is looking for servers ,but didn't find anyone.. :( what is wrong? can some one help me?
was playing fine and then now my character wont turn, seems like my mouse wont initialize or bind itself to camera movement. i get this alert when i mouse over the edge of the screen and press the button, but nothing else. what's wierd is i can go into inventor and it works just fine. just cant move the camera. ANY ideas how to fix? tried restarting computer, moving the file to another location, re-unzipping a new file. nothing works. can't find cmds list that would reload that module either.
big fan of this site (i always get stuff from here) can you get a newer version please because this one has some pretty big bugs (cant split items) so yea 773 please
does it not say in the rules that we are not allowed to upload any game which has multyplayer (due to the way the in-game servers work?) - sorry what i mean is - is this also single player? - if not then it does break the rules? (i am not going to download until i get a reply - respectfully - due to the fact i do not fully know how to work around static/official servers etc and do not want to be dissapointed Cheers
that is correct to a certain point, this page dont upload "multiplayer only" games but it does upload games with multiplayer that has the hability to play it offline
This game could have very well be or have a single player's mode to it just like ME Andromeda and still be enjoyable. There's obviously a problem with the multiplayer mode at the moment, not getting servers update
I can't seem to get it work... My server doesnìt appear after waiting several minutes up to half hour... i edited that bat file to connect to launcher_x64 bla bla and no go
I got it working just had to right click on StartClient.bat and select Edit, Then change RokhClient.exe to LAUNCHER_x64.exe. save then double click it to start game. You can create server in server browser. It's for Lan only. Remember to go back to server browser screen after you finished playing and press stop server. Sorry i don't know why it is doing that for you. make sure you just changed RokhClient.exe to LAUNCHER_x64.exe in the bat file. If that doesn't work change it to LAUNCHER.exe maybe that will work.
Spent 30 mins trying to get this to work, no luck. I go to the WindowsServer folder, I run CreateServer.bat Then I go to WindowsClient folder, I run StartClient.bat My server doesn't show in the browser.
To get it to work for lan mode, eather edit the startclient.bat file or make a new one and put in/change it to LAUNCHER_x64.exe -NOSTEAM Start the server, then load the bat file or shortcut with -nosteam and when you go to play it will look localy for a lan server.
No, what i did was i edited the .bat file and changed it from, RokhClient.exe to LAUNCHER_x64.exe IN the .bat file itself. The startclient.bat file launches rokhclient.exe but since you dont own the game it will show the store page. So you change it to the smart steam emulator. If you don want to mess with the .bat file then just make a desktop shortcut to LAUNCHER_x64.exe and then right click that and hit properties, then in the target line just add -nosteam to it. I can get the client to load up in offline, see my server, but when i try to connect to the server i time out towards the end. Like H8ff0000 pointed out, theres problems with the first release of this and connection problems. I think we might need build 743 to actually get this to work.
Posted by a developer of the game on the game Discussion section on Steam: Darewise Entertainment [developer] May 16 @ 11:01am "There is a currently an issue launching a local server via the client right now. While we fix this issue, you can still launch a local server to play on by yourself or with friends by following the steps below. Right click Rokh in your Steam library and select Properties Click the ‘Local Files’ tab and select ‘Browse Local Files…’ Open the ‘WindowsServer’ directory Double click ‘CreateServer.bat’ A dialogue will appear, enter the following information to create your server. Server Name: (what will appear in the browse server window in game) and press Enter Internet Game: N then Press Enter Admin Password: Set if you would like to lock access to server commands on your server, leave blank if you would like commands open to all, then Press Enter Max Players: Set to 3 (we highly recommend capping at 3 to prevent potential performance issues) and Press Enter Max Accounts: You can enter a value, or just Press Enter Password: Set a password to access your server and Press Enter Lobby Port: Press Enter This will complete the creation of your server and start it up. Launch the game using ‘Play Local’ and your server will appear in the browse server list after a couple of minutes" Some people have said this works for them. Others say it does not, or only works for a second then crashes out. Either way, this is a shit show of a release. People are upset and with good reason. Nobody forced these guys to release the game to Early Access. They did this to start bringing in money, even though the game doesn't even start up for most people in it's most basic of forms. Plus they say it has single player but it requires setting up and hosting your own private server, which is not acceptable to meet single player criteria. People felt the gameplay videos were tech demo / staged before the game's release, and regardless of that, now this happens. Bad start to a promising game.
Took me 6 hours to get it working finally. I totally agree with what you said there on steam about it. I've only played it a few minutes so i dont have any thoughts on it except it feels kind of blocky. But then again most unreal engine games feel that way to me for some reason. I laugh at the people who are defending it right off the bat, even tho most cant even play it. People cant really use the EA card on it when it doesn't even work. The only good thing i will say about it (untill i get more game play in it) is the *nix support for dedicated right off the bat. I know thats due to the engine, but still doesn't happen that much anymore at launch. Ok, time to see if its worth it. Probably wont let me back in my server now that i quit it for a few mintues, lol.
Oh you saw my post in the Steam Discussions, eh? Haha, yeah I kinda went off didn't I? But hey, everything I said is true. How the hell can anyone defend a game that for most doesn't work at all at release? I should just let them take my money for nothing in return, just because they put out a snazzy trailer? That's what this all comes down to, people got a nerd hard-on for the trailer. Meanwhile the only other game the developer is known for is Roller Coaster Tycoon World, which people seem to hate with a passion. In summation: people are dumb, mmkay?
not working....start server from CreateServer.bat , named it , press enter then start from LAUNCHER_x64.exe stuck in server menu didnt show any server and then tried from StartClient.bat its just take me to steam shop . Nothing works for me ..... please any new solution ??????
But the problem is that I can't even find my own LAN server... I've been reading up on the game and it seems that it could be a glitch that no servers, not even the local ones show up
what is wrong? can some one help me?
steam error application load error S:0000065435
help please?
Cheers

You should really put more clear instructions for playing single player in this game...
