Hello, I don't know if anyone still plays this game, but anyway I want to share it.
I think, I've found a way to fix missing words error and wanna tell you, because it's pretty easy way, besides game language can't be other than english.

1. Download the game and extract.
2. Go to steam, ICED store page and click download ICED Demo.
3. Once you have downloaded the Demo, go to Steam folder/steamapps/common and copy ICED Demo somwhere, it will be new game folder.
4. Open the folder and change file names:
   ICED_Demo_Data to ICED_Data
   ICED_Demo to ICED
5. Go back to version from IGG and copy all files (don't copy folder but contest)
6. Pate to ICED Demo folder and replace files.
7. Launch ICED.
8. Enjoy!
   I hope I helped you. I have found this way some time ago, but when I started playing this game again, I decided to post my way. And sorry for my english, if I made mistakes. Also, share to other people that don't use igg.

Can only agree with everyone else, game crashes on loadup. I got Visual Studio installed so I don't think that's the problem. Seems to be a great game, let's hope someone can find a solution!

The reason is that Visual Studio links the created dll with other dll which is related only to Visual Studio software.
(it's maybe for debug purposes )....
This causes that created DLL can be only loaded on PC which has installed Visual Studio.
To avoid this problem do the following steps:

1. open Visual Studio DLL project.
2. Go to project properties;
3. Go to Configuration Properties->C\C++ -> Code Generation.
4. In the list find the item "Runtime Library". Then change it to be "Multi-Threaded (\MT)"..
5. Thanks all. reCompile your library....
   The New DLL will be related only to standart windows DLL's.
   That's what you need.
   It will be run on all windows platforms...
