To anyone having issues with Cemu shutting down when trying to install either the update or the dlc. For me it got fixed when I moved the game files out of the original "Zelda BOTW Files" folder into a random folder I made on the desktop and changed the Cemu game path to that folder.
if you are having problems with it crashing while you are trying to lauch the game or update move the game files close to the main directory and rename then all one word because of the spaces in the folder cause it to crash like when it says 3. BOTW DLC v80 (3 0) USA 9400 unpacked rename it something like TLOZBOTWDLC and do that with all of them to stop it from crashing when trying to launch it and installing the updates
Basically works, but better: Download the current version of CEMU Download CEMUhook Unzip and apply patch/DLC as per the readme file After that it is just optimizing your CEMU settings & Graphic Pack to something your CPU/GPU can handle. Seems to work fine on 1600x960 on my I7 7700HQ // 16gb // 1060TI Trying to improve it some more, but i think that is why my rig can do.
After doing every steps played a bit everything was working perfectly... then closed the game the next day tried playing but the game is stuck on loading(the Cemu) reloaded it waited but still not working...

When I extract the files they are .7zip files and then when I go into properties and change them to meta.xml it says it can't open them. Any suggestions?

If you are using nividia control panel, go to manage settings, 3d settings for program and disable nvidia compiler cache which will cause statter. To increase fps go to graphic settings and go to option called fps++ and enter custom fps. Requires high end pc though . Gl.
Actually I found a way just download cemu a newer version and the hooker (I am using the lastest version for cemu and hooker) It should automatically copy the setting of the old cemu that is all

easy fix 1.when you open cemu got to options 2. go to input setting 3. in controller one select "emulate controller" 4. click it and choose wii u gamepad(important that the first controller is wii u gamepad) 5. if you are wanting to play on keyboard click keyboard click "keyboard" 6.if you want to play on (example. ps4, xbox controllers) click "DirectInput" 7. if you choose DIrect input on "controller choose the controller you plugged. the main rar files gives error when extracted,one give error for the 99% of the files. I downloaded it by torrent and seems that it has more than a single corrupted file,maybe a thousand. Did somebody get the same errors when extracting?

Did you download an exe file? When opening the exe, did you get a rar file, or am I missing something? If the above is true, you downloaded an ad, make sure you get the correct file.

CEMU is a work in progress emulator, it need a pretty specific computer configuration. At first, pretty much any AMD GPU had issues with CEMU due to bad Vulkan optimization, will it improved later ? No one knows from now. I can't help you more without any computer specs to check. From now I just think it's due to the fact that your computer didn't reach the minimum system requirement to run CEMU and the game (because emu on computer had to run the consoles and the game) or you are just simply bottleneck by the emu due to AMD and should wait for the Vulkan version to come. I'm sorry that I can't help you more.

How did it go? Youtuber with the same cpu was getting 40 fps outside in the world and 60 fps inside the shrines. He was using a 1050 ti video card tho so I'm not sure how much the 720 will affect anything but since Cemu is more cpu-intensive than gpu, it looks like you're good there. The 8gb of RAM could be a problem but there are workarounds, like Performance Monitor ap from Iobit Advanced SystemCare which allows you to free up RAM while the shader cache is loading. Otherwise, loading the cache could run your system out of memory and cause Cemu to crash. BSoD Gaming on youtube has a good setup guide and is a good source for optimizing your system for Cemu with a focus on Breath of the Wild. Might want to check it out if you're running into issues.

Is there a way to download the game files on PC and then use a micro sd to SD card adapter to get transfer the files from the PC to the SD card, put it in the Switch and install it on there?
No. This version runs on a Wii U emulator, and even if it didn't, it's not as simple as just transferring it via micro SD to a Switch. You'd have to find a way to bypass a whole bunch of different OS blocks put in place to stop these very kinds of things from being done, not to mention the fact that you'd have to find a way to get the Switch to run the cracked game. As of current, it's just not possible, and may never be.

if you turn off your internet before loading your game the emulator wont know that there is an update. After you start the game to the menu you can then turn your internet back on

This particular game being is a special case, since the game is popular. IGG doesn't normally upload emulator games and this is the only one I'm aware of on the site. If you want to play games like Uncharted or God of War, you'll have to search for how to play them with an emulator yourself

Once you downloaded it and opened the folder, there's another folder entitled "The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild [ALZP01]". Enter that, then the "code" folder and there's only one .rpx file. Load that and you're all set.
While extracting the game the extractor (7zip) says that there is a missing volume: The.Legend.of.Zelda.Breath.of.the.Wild.v1.3.0.part4.rar Is there actually a missing part, or is it just wrong?

That was my problem too. But if you choose to download with MegaUp, it will take twenty minutes for the first two parts and around five minutes for the third at most.
Works fine for me. Tested with CemU 1.9.0, in 1080p60fps, with Ryzen Threadripper 1950X, Radeon RX Vega 64 and 32GB of RAM. Framerate isn't very stable, it bounces between 50 and 70fps, but it's ok. This emulator is still extremely unstable, so it doesn't matter at all. Nice game tho.
Well not so green now I have a Ryzen 1600 X,16 gig,with a Vega 64 that runs BOTW at 3k at a good rate,had the bugger hit 47 FPS at one point outside of tombs. ;)

Game works but when I start a game, I have a white screen after the introduction. When I try to load the automatic save, it's loading without launching the game when it finished.

ther is no CRACK for emulated games you simply wait for the updated emulator OR GOOGLE IT trust me I have a gtx 1070 and I get 20-40 fps but its a smooth animation yes I get little blips when it loads new stuff but then it gets better as I play

Can someone tell me how many files are in all in the part one download in bytes? Because my Cemu launcher keeps crashing when I start up BoTW and I suspect it's because I didn't extract all of the files. The amount of bytes i have in my file is 19,734 Files, 129 Folders.

If you're wondering how bad it looks and runs - REALLY BAD. I'm getting like ~10 fps on a Titan X and 6700K with constant drops. And the graphics don't look like 1440p to me either. Also, my PS4 controller -using DS4Windows- doesn't seem to work, how do I solve this? Anyway, I suggest waiting for a while.

So I figured a lot out. I donloaded CEMU 1.7.4d and CEMUHook, got a 9k shader pack and 4K graphics pack. It runs at 60 fps (won't run any higher) and looks pretty decent considering it was made to run on consoles. If you're interested, here's the guide. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pMoRL3eOvK8
I tried it out and it worked perfectly. It actually patched the game straight from 1.1.0 to 1.1.2 and bypassed 1.1.1. The game seems to be running a little faster now too.
I have got Cemu for one year and it has always worked on simple games, and now, I have cemu 1.7.4d, the game launch itself and when I load my save (in fact, the autosave just after the intro) Cemu crashes. Just after the end of the loading, Cemu stop responding. I really want this game so if someone has an idea.... (I don't think Cheat engine would help because it's not the game performances so if i'm wrong please tell me)

I tried out the new Cemu Emulator that was released today (4/9/17) I was told it would run the game better, but it still switches between 15 and 3 fps (I'm playing on a gtx 970) any suggestions to fix the fps problem?
Use the link that Laura posted. Then take the ShaderCache folder after you extract it and put it in your Cemu folder. There should be a ShaderCache folder already in there. Delete the one that's in there and replace it with the one from the archive. Then Cemu will load the shader cache the next time you run the game. There are several tutorials on youtube on how to optimize Cemu for running this game. A few settings that can help: Power management mode: max performance Multi-display/mixed-GPU acceleration: Single display performance Threaded Optimization: On Use of Cheat Engine 6.6 ap and Cemu Hook also help. With a 970 and a good cpu you should be able to get 30 fps if optimized.
I have done my research and cemu 1.7.4 does not work anymore when the spoken dialogues are in a language other than English so launches the game in English then put it in Italian when the cinematic is finished restarting cemu and as soon as cemu crashes, do this again.

For people complaining about the game running badly or looking bad, please remember that this uses an emulator that is still a WORK IN PROGRESS. It is NOT fully complete, thus frame drops and crashes are to be expected. If you want to be able to run the game with a high framerate, you WILL need a relatively high-end computer.
Well, whenever they patch things up. Emulating games isn't always an easy task, and can take numerous days to be done properly. Give it a while since it's a new game
And a fairly new emulator too, basically in its embryonic stage relatively speaking. Hopefully someday the Cemu developers can get it running as close to flawless as Dolphin or PCSX2. But those emus have been in development for years so like you said, it'll take a while. Not years necessarily, but not overnight neither. I'm guessing they'll figure out a way to implement all these external fixes, peripherals and workarounds like Hook and Cheat Engine into the emulator so it'll be more plug 'n play and more optimized than it is currently. But man, the progress made in 1.7.4 sure is encouraging.
Can you play this with the mouse and keyboard? I got the arrow keys to work, not much esle. I don't have a controller for my pc. Resolution is fucking awful too. Waste of time downloading this. Not even a console port. Just emulation.
It's obviously just an emulation, what did you expect? I downloaded the game, resolution was good. Honestly, if you're going to talk shit because a game we upload doesn't fit your expectations and complain, don't even bother commenting.
Keyboard yes, mouse no. Also just go into fullscreen mode, CEMU is a small window by defalt, you can fullscreen it to your resolution. Ive played all the way up to the camera rune. and it plays great for me. everyones computer is different.
Going into FS mod just made the screen bigger. It just scaled the original resolution, actually making it look worse. Like viewing SD movies on an HD screen. Gross. I already uninstalled it.

For the ones asking for 1.1.1. Search an app called Maple Seed. After installation it'll want to you to setup games and cemu location, super easy. Any game you want to update, right click the game and it'll tell you the folder (mlc01\usr\title\00050000\101C9400) the update will occur in. Once it's done go inside the 101C9400 folder (U.S. for me different number for EUR) and you delete all the files, NOT the folders. Boot cemu, load BOTW, BOOM! 1.1.1

I got it working, but it won't go above 15fps, and on top of that every couple seconds the framerate drops to BELOW 1.0 FPS, (the emulator said 0.54 fps) IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO TO GET IT RUNNING SMOOTHER ON MY CURRENT PC? (Side Note: Link also keeps falling through the floor up to his knees)
How it works is... the semu team is working for the fix and you can not do anything to make it run better for now. On April 2nd they're releasing the new semu version for patreon members, April 9 for everyone and that makes the game playable with working physics and average of 30fps. Pc has almost nothing to do with your problem... We just gotta wait for the semu team.

BEFORE ASKING "CAN MY PC RUN THIS" GPU: Pretty much any GPU can handle this game, as long as it has about 800+ mhz, GTX 860M+ will work fine RAM: You only need about 8gb of ram which is standard for most games CPU: You need a VERY POWERFUL CPU to run this game in the current cemu engine, most high level I7's.

Getting the game ain't the issue,it's Cemu as it's a work in progress even the new build will need a ninja comp to sustain a good frame rate,so really depends on your rigs specs.

Not downloaded this myself but I assume the rar creates the WUD file,with a Cemu Directory. ? If so just open Cemu and pick load then navigate to the WUD,and make sure you paste the key in the keys folder,and grab a shader cache from Reddit.
Guys if you want the latest Cemu build and get it early donate to the devs on Patreon. This will get you the new build 2nd April as opposed to the 9th. 5 dollars each month gives the latest builds,you really need to wait for build 1.74 which pretty much solves tonnes of issues just hang on for the free release 7 days later than the Patreon build or pay the 5 dollars,fyi you will need a beefy rig though to get it running up to a good FPS.
Ok.. FPS for me arent terrible actually..... Im in the first dungeon trying to use the magnet to life the metal slabs in the center of the room.. The magnet wont work.. So... So far its unplayable... Other than that, the lag is there, but not that bad..

My Review: Only about 5 minutes into the game and it freezes/drops frames every 45 seconds. Link and enemies constantly fall into the ground. Considering this is an emulator for the Wii U Im surprised this game is running at all. As of right now, I can't find the game playable as it is 1-20 fps with constant frame drops on a GTX970. Maybe others have better luck. I am currently waiting for the new update to come out for cemu so this game can be playable. Thank you for the game IGG. I appreciate the hard work you put into giving us these games we otherwise would not have access to.
The game files are just copied from the real game and the emulator is what converts it to be playable on the computer, though the emulator isn't very stable, haven't been able to play it yet because of that.
I expected it to work, after I did all the stuff it says under "How To". But Emulators are always a problem for most people. Totally unstable. Does it work for you ? Emulators are a special thing. I´m ok with it, I think I´ll stick to Dark Souls III then. I just wanted to try it, because I played almost all Zelda-Games. :-D
No fair saw a vid about the Cemu dev telling a interview that he does not know how long it could take to fix. There seems to be collision detection errors, render errors, and event detection errors. Cutscenes don't work right, the grass and water is under the ground, and the transition events are not at the level they should be so no rune that detects other objects can see them. Amazing they could get it to work at all, this could all be because the title pushes the WiiU to it's limit and forced the devs of the game to make workaounds to get it to function well. Lets hope it will not take more that a few months, and not the years the dev thought it might.
guys guys guys....know your hype...but trust me go do some research on "cemu BOTW" first. because pretty much any graphic card you use still run the http://same.im a GTX 1080 user.i run that game on 1-15FPS most of the time and only 30FPS in dungeon. and the game has pretty much bugs and glitch...so be prepared.Theyre coming up new update for the game about next month. and it only fixes the graphic and many more but still not the FPS.

FYI. as of now you cant interact with water, enemies fall through the ground half thee time, you cant use magnesis wich means you cant proggess the story, the FPS is crap, 3-15 FPS mostly on the lower Turning GPU Buffer to med or high helps alot. It's still been only 27 days, there's a lot of work that still needs to be done and so far they've done a lot already. Some games pokemon games that are years old still don't have a single emulator.
It took them a week to fix BOTW to near perfect just an issue with the rune camera,as far as I'm aware and some graphical bugs, also Exzap created a graphics pack that is supposed to fix a few issues with AMD cards. Main issue is optimization you will need a good rig and card,but considering a year ago no games ran at all they ain't doing bad,and at this rate 6 months down the road might get us to Dolphin standards ;)
Dude you do realize this amazing emu is not just for BOTW,Cemu is damn near perfect on many WII U games. And this is one selfish reaction,do you know it took Dolphin 13 years to achieve perfection and it still has troubles with some titles. Good I found the 1.10 is a tad slower,so sticking to 1.9 for BOTW with the latest Cemuhook and the BSOD FPS mod. And can run a stable 3k graphics pack,and not even tried Reshade yet,this on a Vega 64 Ryzen 1600X machine.
Yes. The latest version of the emu fixes it, along with a lot of other stuff. It doesn't do any major improvements to the framerates though but that should be coming in a future release fairly soon. You can really use most cards, GTX 860m+ (797 mhz) compared to the nintendo switch, (only has a pitiful 768 mhz) 8 gb of memory And a GOD-Tier CPU The reason why you'll need most of this is because the emulator needs to translate all the files meant for the nintendo system and make it work for windows, and it requires a lot of brains. Other than that, after the information is processed your GPU would only display it like any other game after its translated.
If you're having trouble. Make sure you have the latest version of Cemu 1.7.3. 1.7.2 wont get you past press A to continue. However, even once you get the game to start you wont be pushing anything more than 12-18fps if you have anything from the GTX 1060 and below. The next Cemu update is sure to be way more polished and hopefully by 1.7.5 the game will be fully functional. I hope....
DONT WASTE YOUR TIME! Theres a tool that you need in order to progress the game called "magnesis" but with this emulated version, that tool doesnt work and theres a lot of things you cant do without this item. And id hate to buy a wii just to play this but i think i may have to cuz this game has potential to be amazing.

Not really..? The CEMU emulator at its current state can't give you constant fps. The last time I tried BoTW on CEMU (a while ago) there wasn't any water in the game. Yeah I know it's a joke, but CEMU just gave me really high expectations for some reason...
Have you tried the 60 fps cheat engine fix. It really makes the game waaay more playable. On the 2nd of April for patreons they'll release the new version that fixes water and collision detection. The 9th for non patreons.
Ziron you're dumb for thinking that ram is all you need for a pc to run well, and you don't need 16 gb of ram for any game. niki, this game doesn't need much graphical power considering it's all a cartoon style of artwork, the switch has 767 mhz of power and it's pitiful but can still run the game. The truth is you need a godly CPU because the emulator needs a load of "brain power" from your computer. Not ram or graphics.
April 9th CemuCemu 1.7.4 will be released and Zelda will work (almost) bug-free. Meanwhile, you can play a lot of Wii U games (like Mario Kart 8 or Xenoblade) with no problems.

It is far too early to consider BotW to be playable, right now. Maybe far better with the next version of Cemu, 1.7.4, coming in several weeks, but don't expect the framerate to be any good, still.
Fps is so damn low, The Wii U is not better than my PC I know that. Please tell me that i can get 60 fps soon ;-; or at least 30. Best I am getting is 30 and that's on the loading screen.
Also, the game is capped at 30 as being a console game. Dont expect 60fps anywhere in the future unless the CEMU devs find a way to uncap it which is to say...not quite possible
You're right the wii u is weaker then most pcs but an emulator take a lot more power to run then the actual system does because it takes a lot of power to mack a consoles os on a computer then running the os purely off of specs that were specially designed for the system. So cemu does take good specs to run, but as the Dev of cemu learns how to optimize things better it will have better fps, and also as you run around the map a few times it will begin to store the textures in a file that will make the game run faster so play it for an hour and the fps should improve unless you go into an are that has a lot of completely new textures.
its a wii u emulator as BOTW is on wii u and switch and switch emulators will come faster then originaly expected as there are so major security flaws in it that Nintendo really fucked up on
well it will be at least 6 months probably a year though but since the switch has the browser exploit in it skilled hackers and jailbreakers will be able to access almost all the system soon as long as they dont download security patches and then the hackers and jailbreakers will release their findings with emulator devs will be able to use to code emulators (BTW I am half talking out of ass so everything might not be 100% correct)
it will be about 10-20 fps with it peaking at 30 here and there. set the shader cache to fast and the upscaling to bilinear. also dont run fullscree, that wuill help too. all of this is temporary as the game will be ypdated soon to boot fps ( btw i have vwery similar specs as you )
Yo! This is basically the Wii U ISO + the Wii U Emulator in one. Not a PC release, just emulated... and it's not that smooth without a good PC. Easy answer is to figure out how to softMod your Wii U and play on the system.
not true at all, the file is a wii u iso so if you have the correct program and your wii u has been soft modded (meaning the wii has been essentially "jailbroken") you can download a program that loads the iso off of an external storage device and then you can load the games onto a usb or sd card with a program insert it into the wii u and then load the files off of there with the program on the wii u, just look up how to load wii u isos from a pc to a wii on youtube and you should find something.

Yeah, I downloaded Bayonetta 2 a few weeks back and I read that the game plays pretty smooth, but that doesn't seem to be the case for me either. The sound acts up a lot and the fps drops quite a bit. I don't know if I should go ahead and download BotW or not though, if it drops a lot too.
Yeah the only game I can "run"is mario bros u and even then the texture caching is horrible but I think that by the end of the year the emulator will be able to run BotW at full speed.
I have a weak sauce PC,a lowly I5 with a AMD 290 triple X card 8 gig of memory. I can run quite nicely Captain Toad,Mario Kart 8,Pikmin 3,BOTW pushes the Wii U to breaking point so Cemu needs a while yet to fully emulate at Dolphin speeds.
Get a bit hyped, but not too much yet. It's simply an emulator, it isn't very well optimized yet, but it's made leaps and bounds since it's been ported to pc. So, it'll get there! Just might need a beast to run the game.
Yeah.. Although a new update (1.7.4) is coming out on April 2nd for patreon curators, and April 9th to public, and apparantly it fixes almost all the bugs, and gives a heafty FPS boost. Still not perfect, yet it's progress.

At first, pretty much any AMD GPU had issues with CEMU due to bad Vulkan optimization, will it improved later ? No one knows from now.
I can't help you more without any computer specs to check.
From now I just think it's due to the fact that your computer didn't reach the minimum system requirement to run CEMU and the game (because emu on computer had to run the consoles and the game) or you are just simply bottleneck by the emu due to AMD and should wait for the Vulkan version to come.

The 8gb of RAM could be a problem but there are workarounds, like Performance Monitor ap from Iobit Advanced SystemCare which allows you to free up RAM while the shader cache is loading. Otherwise, loading the cache could run your system out of memory and cause Cemu to crash.
BSoD Gaming on youtube has a good setup guide and is a good source for optimizing your system for Cemu with a focus on Breath of the Wild. Might want to check it out if you're running into issues.

There are several tutorials on youtube on how to optimize Cemu for running this game.
A few settings that can help:
Power management mode: max performance
Multi-display/mixed-GPU acceleration: Single display performance
Threaded Optimization: On
Use of Cheat Engine 6.6 ap and Cemu Hook also help. With a 970 and a good cpu you should be able to get 30 fps if optimized.

Lots of issues fixed in new build,FPS still going to be the sticking point though,there are other WII U games you can play while u wait though ;)
If so just open Cemu and pick load then navigate to the WUD,and make sure you paste the key in the keys folder,and grab a shader cache from Reddit.
This will get you the new build 2nd April as opposed to the 9th.
5 dollars each month gives the latest builds,you really need to wait for build 1.74 which pretty much solves tonnes of issues just hang on for the free release 7 days later than the Patreon build or pay the 5 dollars,fyi you will need a beefy rig though to get it running up to a good FPS.

Yeah I know it's a joke, but CEMU just gave me really high expectations for some reason...
niki, this game doesn't need much graphical power considering it's all a cartoon style of artwork, the switch has 767 mhz of power and it's pitiful but can still run the game.
The truth is you need a godly CPU because the emulator needs a load of "brain power" from your computer. Not ram or graphics.
Either way, if people wanna play a game on a broken emulator, then go ahead!

set the shader cache to fast and the upscaling to bilinear. also dont run fullscree, that wuill help too.

This is basically the Wii U ISO + the Wii U Emulator in one.
Not a PC release, just emulated... and it's not that smooth without a good PC.
Easy answer is to figure out how to softMod your Wii U and play on the system.

it runs at about 30fps even with OC i7 cpu
so yeah, wait for patches
I can run quite nicely Captain Toad,Mario Kart 8,Pikmin 3,BOTW pushes the Wii U to breaking point so Cemu needs a while yet to fully emulate at Dolphin speeds.
