Hi sorry if you're getting this late but I fixed this by going in the game files, then clicking on _CommonRedist --> OpenAl -->2.0.7.0 --> oalinst ( install ).
Do I need to install all parts? Most people say i do, but i once installed only part 1 for a different game, and it worked perfectly... And i don't wanna waste time installing something unnecessary, so i am not sure if it is required for the game to work... Could someone help me? Thanks!

My guess is you misunderstood that you've only installed part1 because when you extract a split rar file into one the folder says/contains the word part 1 in it.
I encountered this Aplication Load Error 3:00000065432 . It was fixed after I run setup.exe in crackfix with the install directory in the same folder as my Zero Escape game
If you got no sound in Virtue's Last Reward go to _commonredist folder inside there's another folder named OpenAL and inside that one another numbered 2.0.7.0 which contains oalinst.exe install it so it should work.
Having a different and slightly weirder error from the others. The launcher works, but whenever I open a game, it only takes me to the Steam store page for Zero Escape. I can't actually play the game, and I'm worrying that Steam might be detecting that I didn't actually buy the game. Please help!
I'm about a year late but if you're still having the issue, you need to replace the installed files with the crack files! Also, Steam won't detect anything so no need to worry :)
I had some trouble with this, but i got it working! thought id write what i did so anyone else experiencing trouble has some help after downloading, extracting .rars, mounting .iso, installing the game and adding the cracked fixed i found my game had no audio! some research later i found i had to disable all playback audio devices except my headphones then i went into game files _CommonRedist OpenAL 2.0.7.0 and opened the oalinst.exe downloaded and bam! game works perfectly Hope this helps ;)
Downloaded everything, clicked the launcher and then I choose VLR,it just gets stuck,there's a small transparent window,that's it. Same for 999. The launcher works but the games don't even start up. Can someone please help?

So I downloaded everything and launched the executable but Steam asks me something and I have to choose between Ok and Cancel, though isn't it dangerous ? I mean, Steam will definitely know I didn't buy it right ? Someone help me
so, i just intalled this... but i can't play it since when i opened the launcher and tried to open it, an error says that wasn't able to open the file type (steam)? what should i do?
Getting crashes on startup. I launch 999, the spike chunsoft/Aksys games banners show up then it says it encountered an error and has to close. I think it is related to the endings crash but the patch uploaded on pcgames, as shown in the reddit post someone posted earlier, doesn't work. it still crashes. anyone got any ideas? Perhaps I need the patch that was uploaded to the legit version on steam?
No, but I imagine that either I need the patch spike chunsoft put out, or the problem is unrelated to achievements and I have no idea what the issue is.
EDIT: This works for me crashing at the beginning of the game, so I don't really know if it will work for the credits. EDIT#2 : It doesn't work, move on. Try installing this https://github.com/Nevcairiel/LAVFilters/releases use the installer. This works for me. Issue probably came from your PC not being able to decode cutscene video files. Hence why it crashed on 999's after logos (There's a cutscene after that). Also on Virtue's elevator (There's a seek a way out cut scene at the beginning of the puzzle)
Thanks IGG the game is running now, just wondering has anyone managed to make a wineskin wrapper for this yet? Ive got a friend who wants to play it but has a mac. I was trying to fiddle around with wine to get it to work but no luck so far.
I started playing, it works perfectly! The only thing that doesn't work is the save icon in the saving screen, i.e the save works fine but never gets a different icon that that empty save slot appearance so you have to remember which slot you're using. Edit: aaah I think I got it for the save icon: it's because I haven't cleared any ending yet facepalm
So if someone finds out how to fix the crash after the credits, that would be great. I've tried pretty much everything, switching from dx9 to OGL, window mode, fullscreen, MSAA off and on... I even tried removing my bluetooth adaptor, since it used to cause errors with some games, nothing worked
did all of that already, nothing works. Since the regular Steam version seems to be working fine, I'm guessing there's something wrong with the crack and it might need a crackfix?
People!!! i need help, i downloaded everything but managed to lose the crack file (yes i'm dumb) could somebody please post the crack itself? if i have to download everything once again i¡m gonna die.
I think there is a fix, on youtube popped up a video 8 hours ago with this crack fix http://bit.ly/2mDDFML (just download it and move the new crack and replace the old one)
I still didn't start VLR because I finished it on the 3DS when it came out and I never played 999... but I can confirm that right at the ending screen (for me at a bad ending) it crashes with 'Error Occured: "Zero escape: nine hours, nine persons, nine doors" has termed."' I want to play without the game crashing but I can't :(
Have you tried running as administrator or trying different compatibility modes? Also, if above suggestions don't work, try moving the game to a different drive
if I set the compatibility mode to windows 7 for example the game doesn't even appear (it says that it's open in the task bar but I can't see anything except my desktop background)
I don't know about VLR, it works fine for me. But I'm experiencing the crashes as well. Try installing everything in the common redist folder and see if VLR works for you
The cutscenes are working for me, I started playing 999 and just checked VLR. Both games's cutscenes you get right after the logo when launching the game and leaving it idle work fine. I'm on Win7, if that matters.

just instal the OpenAL contained in CommonRedist folder
