One of the greatest indie games ever made. If you do have the means someday I reccomend supporting this developer. He has a book released called the "Witchhunter" that takes place in the games universe and has a second book on the way called "The Captain"
Also the Legends mod for this game totally renews the game if you get bored of vanilla.

Hey there's no launcher for the 1.5.0.15 ver. I've downloaded the previous version and it has Launcher BAT. But the latest version doesn't have one! How do i fix this?
i dont use an antivirus, but the first time i try to launch the game i get an error, after that the steam_api file vanishes, second time i try to launch i get a message that the file is missing
Sorry for late reply but if you have old version on your computer follow those steps:
open sys32 folder of current game version
find battle brothers.exe
try starting it
open sys32 folder in old version of battle brothers
copy any dll file you are missing from there Looks like some dll files were changes in the current version idk why since the old ones work perfectly fine and don't trigger any warnings
You started game from "BattleBrothers.exe" in "win32" folder? If it still say that error, i think your AV deleted that file. It's cracked file. The method used to crack games is similar to the method used to code m-a-l-w-a-r-e! Anti-virus programs will detect the crack as a v-i-r-u-s and delete it, even though it isn’t! :)
I found the solution for the 0xc000007b issue, ya gotta shove a dll called msvcr120.dll forcefully into the win32 folder under battlebrothers, had this issue too and thought it was directX related.

after extract the rar file , lunch the game from , BattleBrothers.exe ( this application can be found in ( win32 ) folder inside the game folder that You extract . run it as administrator . Hope that is help You .

This version has serious problems with alt tabbing, at least for me: The game freezes and the music keeps playing. No reaction from the game though, it still sticks around in task manager to tease. Even after closing it the music stays in snuggily inside the task manager not caring if closed. Not sure if this has to do with the new update (before all was fine) or if the developers just screwed up the game. Glad I didn't pay money for this. Edit: This happens even in borderless windowed. As soon as the game looses focus, it won't react anymore. Which pretty much negates the sense of a borderless window mode.
Title said v1.3.0.24 but still no link to any update pass v1.3.0.19, even the update v1.3.0.21 still gray out. On Steam the game don't even have v1.3.0.24 yet, just update the game to v1.3.0.22
So I've heard about the Legends mod, and I wanted to give it a shot. I downloaded the game from here, but unfortunetely, the game just updated THAT DAY, and so it wasn't compatible with the mod, and I couldn't download a previous version. Now the mod is finally updated, but it needs 1.3.0.20, and its only .19 here. I hate my goddamn luck so much, I feel like I'm never gonna play that mod... Thanks for the uploads tho
Download the current version of Legends so that when IGG updates their upload (don't forget to request it) you can install it, assuming they don't skip updates ofc

Edit: By the way, I tried putting the things in CODEX to replace the files in the directory. It seemed to work at first, but when playing I can't equip anything to my bros, upgrade their stats, or give them any perks.
Can you update it again please? The cracked v1.2.0.25 is older version(though the name is the same) of the newest patch on steam. The available v1.2.0.25 doesn't allow you to enter some of the legendary locations while the steam version fixed it.

it don't work. the previous version (1.0.0.1) works, but the lindwurm version doesn't. I can launch the game, but the battles can't be played, it let me in the loading screen, with tips.. How can i fix it ?

Nothing. The last version worked but had custom triggers. Seems as if the devs are taking action. =( Edit: After going to the "eastern bloc", it seems as if there are a LOT more custom triggers. This usually means the devs are attempting to gear of for a full release. Generic Steam cracks won't cut it anymore. Best cracked version is .24 as .26 and .29 have custom triggers.
Sadly cant make it work. clicking on battlebrothers.exe gives me "You'll need a new app to open this steam" message, and clicking launcher.exe gives me firewall window and no matter what i choose in firewall notthing happens and game does not start. am i doing something wrong? @HalfFullHalfEmpty:disqus can you explain more how did you managed to start it?
i tried everything with firewall blocking and allowing bb.exe and launcher.exe and notthing workid. Nop, no steam for me. Ever. Thanx anyway.. will wait for something else to pop out

I found a way to make it work for me (v0.9.0.29) only here are the 2 steps: 1st open the BattleBrothers.exe from your designated folder and the steam would pop up but don't log it in or simply close it afterwards. 2nd after you've done the 1st step you can now open the LAUNCHER.exe and about the "you can only recruit thieves and goat cheese in the weaponsmiths" I've tried playing for about 30 in-game days and it's ok so far and haven't encountered any recruitable thieves from every towns. hope this works for you too Cheers!
This latest version isn't cracked properly or something. The game knows it's pirated. You can only recruit thieves and buy goat cheese from certain vendors. IGG or whoever is uploading the beta branches, please fix this issue.
Same thing for me when I used the old save from the previous version, but when you make a new game it's normal.. Anyway there's a new version now Beta 0.9.0.29 with lots of changes, hopefully we get an update here
i downloaded igg version v0.9.0.26 and i can confirm that it still has game triggers like cheese and thiefes and i did start a fresh new game so we are still waiting for someone to check it out
Anyone know how to transfer save files between the latest updates? I downloaded this but it says "incompatible version" for my old version's save files when I try to load them from the newer version of the beta branch. People who have the official game say that they don't have this problem. Also thanks for the updates on this game, it's really wonderful.
