is that patch crash? already try that patch, that say complete, i see the file just a18.exe i try open it, and glitch start from splash screen after loading screen the game close it self, no error notice i try on 1.0.0.12 it still normal, no glitch is this 1.0.0.16 recommend or just optional update?
This game is crash with patch version v1.0.0.16 because we ignore v1.0.0.12 and v1.0.0.15. First, let install patch v1.0.0.12, then v1.0.0.15 , then v1.0.0.16. It works for me ! Please, vote up my tip to help others
After downloading all of them and extracting it all, I found that there's no installation file but its actually already playable. I've only tried to play it for a few minutes but it runs well on my Ryzen 5 w/ vega 8 laptop on 1080p just fine. I'm pretty much new to this Atelier series but it seems like I need to finish Sophie first. Anyway, I'm just glad its playable. But I need to finish Sophie and few other games first. Thank you for sharing this.
Terribly sorry for way-too-late reply as well as for necro-ing - PC got crashed... like literally crashed, off a high height, from a bike with myself (ToT) A-Typical of most 'Atelier' series: "If the name does'nt change, it is a continuity..." 'Atelier FIRIS' was basically a new title, so unfortunately... it did'nt have any relation with any previous titles.
wow you dropped pc or what happened ? you got new pc now then or fix it ? hope ur ok i had some bad bike wrecks going way to fast and popping wheelies while doing it lol
well i not sure how step 6 works after step 5 being play (it updates ingame by itself or i missing something?(i sorry Q-Q)) edit: nvm, now i checked the links under the step 6 (i never knew you put those kind of links there)
well, i am using windows ten, i download the Atelier Rar files, then extract it. there is nothing to install, no ISO no codex (i found codex in the update file). I also move everything to the c:\program files, and tried many solutions from the past comments, the games still crash at the loading screen (after the gust logo), any idea could help solve with this problem? thank you.
Did you install the update? That seems to make a lot of people crash (me included). The base game itself (without the update) does not make me crash. Also, yes there is nothing else needed to make the game run (no codex or .iso). I can run the game as long as I do not do the update (the codex in the update file). I did not move anything to my c drive. I'm not super tech saavy, but just here to give some input. Perhaps try to find the 1.0.015 update somewhere?
Just a tiny bit of simple troubleshooting here. If you guys download the current link from igggames, if you tried to start the game but only got past through only till Gust logo, make sure to transfer first all the file into your C:\Program Files(x86) or C:\Program Files.
I am not good at English, so I am sorry for automatic translation If you crash using the latest patch, look for the patch of v1.0.0.15, use it, try it with A18.exe in v1.0.0.16 CODEX
At first i was getting the opening logo, load screen, another load screen with the jelly monster then after trying to fix it. Tried it again now It just showed me the opening logo and loading screen but no monster one then it turns to a black screen and crashes. I though it was because I didn't put the update in it. I also went to the CommonRedist folder and install the stuff that was in there. So i went and did that, now it doesn't even start and just show Application load error 3:0000065434. What did i do wrong and how do i fix it?
Not quite sure what you mean, as far as I know, my graphics card handles everything by default. Indeed, I have no option of changing anything relating to graphics when right clicking the game exe, just Run as Admin, Troubleshoot compatability etc. I should metion for anyone reading this too, that it's not rendering two whole instances of the game within the window, it's more like one small one, then a large blank area, with a narrow strip where it's trying to render the game again. Never seen that before, and what's more, I know I've played this game on my computer about 8 months ago.
It seems to be the 1.0.0.16 update that stuffed everything up for me. Running the game without the update works fine, but then of course you don't get any of the fixes that came with the update. User above said to look for the 1.0.0.15 update and try that, if 1.0.0.16 crashes your game, but he neglected to mention where to look for it, and I can't find it anywhere. So, that's useful. Also, why the hell was my original comment deleted?
I'll assume you have the 1.0.0.16 update installed, if that's the case, uninstall the game. Now reinstall, but don't install the 1.0.0.16 update. Test the game, it should work without any updates installed, at least mine did. Now for an update. You'll have to settle for 1.0.0.15 (it's what I'm using, and have had no problems) since 1.0.0.16 breaks the game for us. I'm not sure if it's against the rules to put the url to another game download website here, I will assume it is, so you'll have to find it yourself. I can give you some hints - open up Google and type in atelier firis update 1.0.0.15 codex. Now on my screen, the result you want is the third from the top, that site will let you download the specific update you need. If yours isn't the third from the top, then you should be able to find it from there anyway. If this doesn't fix it for you, then I got nothing else, as this is what worked for me. Good luck.
I have tried starting the game without the 1.0.0.16 update, and with the 1.0.0.15 update. Sadly, the same crash occurs, anyone else got other ideas to what is causing the game to do that?
Good morning! (Though it was like... 1 am when I wrote that). I don't really go to My Anime List; while I like anime I don't really involve myself much with anime communities so I don't have an account there. I actually spend most of my time on discord, you can find me there as Kao#8158. I'd be very surprised if someone had the time in their hands to stalk me, it's not like I'm all that interesting or popular. o .o
GTA V is an old game, so naturally the requirements are obsolete by today's standards. At the time, though, they weren't all that high for what the game offered: Pretty big, open world with a ton of moving models and particles, optimized enough to the point it was easy even for mid-tier computers to achieve good framerate. That's the only reason I did the comparison. Modern releases such as NoA2 will have higher requirements, I never questioned this and I fully agree with this fact. My point, however, was that you can look at other recent releases such as ECHO which look pretty good imo and they actually have lower requirements, which is why I believe NoA2 could still be optimized further. I'm probably wrong, of course, but that's just my opinion. BR is just the pinnacle of anime-styled games, though. No complaints there on my part. In my first post, I wanted to clarify that the upload here on IGG did not cause the crashes people were reporting in previous posts. I didn't want people interested in downloading just to see their comments and assume that upload was broken or didn't work. The "Koei games are just never optimized" part was meant mostly as a joke referring to how Koei games always have really high system requirements, it wasn't meant to be taken seriously as I'm well aware the game engine used by their games is just that demanding. There also was a point when you were saying that the update for NoA1 didn't exist and that the high CPU usage was intentional, which isn't the case and I proved that by linking to Koei's official Steam update announcement. Pretty much all of Koei's releases except NoA2 have had at least one update that addresses their opimization or stability, it was worth mentioning that as a possible reason why those users experienced crashing. What works on one user's PC right off the bat might just not want to work on another, even if their systems are similar. Now, I've said all I cared to say about this discussion so I'd appreciate it if we could just say this is a difference of opinion and put it to rest. No point in spamming the comments more than we already have.
Hi! No, I'm not part of the IGG staff. I'm a regular user much like yourself, I just like to stop by whenever I have free time and see if I can help people out in the individual game pages since the actual moderators are often busy dealing with the comments in the game requests section alone. It can get a bit crazy in there sometimes.
Can confirm all links seem to be down, but please post all game requests in the appropriate "GAME REQUEST" section of the site, this includes requests for uploads, updates and re-uploads. (http://igg-games.com/game-request.html ) IGG (the site's admin) doesn't normally check the game pages for requests, as they're primarily meant for discussion and help between users. Until the links are re-uploaded, the torrent download appears to still be working as an alternative if anyone's interested.
My computer should be able to run this but once I click on the exe, it opens with a black screen then stops responding a minute. Any idea why this is happening? I've updated everything I can
Runs so great on my win 7 PC. Thank you IGG so much for all the effort you have put into this site. PS gonna share this your site to more of my friends. Keep it up IGG ^o^
If I'm not mistaken, there is no real fix for that at this time. It was full of bugs when it was released, so it might take a while for a patch to come. Well, that's what the Steam forums said.
Excuse me, but, it doesn't work. The game crashes upon startup, and the error was shown to be the A18.exe. Have anyone found a solution to this, or a kind of bypass? Thank you in advance. Thank you to IGG-GAMES.COM also for uploading this game, and I'm already looking forward to this since I'm currently playing Atelier Sophie and I saw in the wikia that Sophie is also in this as a playable character. Thank you again.
This update has fixed that problem for me: https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/download/details.aspx?id=36805 Other people are also reporting that updating their GPU drivers, direct x and vcredist 2012 has fixed that problem for them. So one of those is probably causing that problem.
Hm. Thanks for the reply, but unfortunately, my Windows 7 Ultimate x64 isn't compatible with the update, even with other earlier updates since Service Pack 1 isn't installed, and I'm sad to say I really don't have time for those updates. Thank you again. About the VCRedist issue though, I agree. Un-installing and re-installing it doesn't register the MSCV120.dll, even when I use the manual registering in CMD.
Always liked these Atelier games, thank you for sharing. The downside is that the game looks quite heavy, and 35 GB of memory?!?Guess i can save it for a future computer.
It's very much worth it if you're an Atelier fan. They stepped up their game with this one in comparison to Sophie. As to why it's 15GB larger than Sophie I have no idea, but one huge difference is that the maps are far much greater; instead of being sectioned off in small pieces making it feel more of an open world-like game.
Had the same problem, but after a fresh install of the latest 2012 VC redistributables, updating graphics drivers, installing the attached directx redists, and restarting it worked.
It does include all DLCs, but they're not enabled by default. If you want them all you have to do is go to "steam_emu.ini" and change the value of "DLCUnlockall" to '1'. Start the game.
Yeah, you're right. I assumed it was all there because of those unlock messages plus I only looked at the costumes. This upload is missing the BGM DLC files. If you want them you can get them here. It's quite large, 1.5 GB worth. https://mega.nz/#!4N9XUDAA!WDXtlIV26PGkOeyNbljB-13PbQF11uRoiDzmbwGh9EE Get it while you still can; I'm not going to bother re-uploading it if it goes down.
I'm not complaining about the lack of money spent on games. I'm "complaining" about your position. People usually are not regarded well if they do not properly opt in on something. Paying is one vehicle to do this. Your justification of "owning a large library of Vita games" does not carry over to any new game you did not buy. Do you really want this to degrade into ad hominem?
Smug: "I dont feel insulted by foreigners saying France is pretty much a muslim/nignog country" Cherry picking possible scenarios, eh? That's YOUR thought process. Others would probably not give a rat's ass about a foreigner's position, even if said foreigner is right in their eyes. You're missing the point at hand.
Sure it does. You didn't PAY. It's like people outside of a country making a stink about something that happened within another country. People in that country would be insulted.
...and I agree. Koei's shoddy ports kind of suck. Problem is, we didn't pay for any of them. I'm willing to eat it until the day comes that I actually pay. I can tally up the pros and cons and, for me, said pros outweigh the negs. Does this justify my actions? Fuck no. I KNOW I should pay. I KNOW what I am doing is wrong. I am making the CHOICE to take something I normally would not have received for free. Hey, if you want to steal or pirate or distribute, by all means. All I am telling you is I like the game, it works, it's something a tad different than what we get from the western side of things and we should be grateful games can still be cracked. What I am not condoning is "fuck Koei no matter if we paid or not".
Your entire argument is justification and devaluation. This isn't "a couple of bucks"... and even if it were you're still getting the game for free. I'm certainly not anti-piracy... but come on, we're getting something we are not paying for. No matter how you slice it, this goes against the trade system that has been heavily established. The difference between you and me though, is I can at least acknowledge what I am doing while you try and overtly justify it. The publisher certainly does have an impetus to "fix" the game of he/she/they choose. Why? It usually stimulates more sales - and potential sales on future products. Second-hand games still isn't the point at hand but I'll go there. I completely am for it. However, if you are going to try and use that argument to, again, justify all this, I have to point out that this game hasn't even had the time to become second-hand.
Yeah, yeah then. You're getting the game for free - so why bitch again? This has nothing to do with piracy impacting sales argument. You're conflating two different things. I am stating that you don't have much of a voice if you're getting something without paying for it. Tell you what, go and complain on the official Steam forums for this game and see how far that gets you.
Yep, I don't know Japanese but again, I am not the one purporting for change. I'm willing to bet I am not the only one afflicted with this condition. Yes, feel free to have standards on a pirating website. Yes, it does. Free means we stole it which means in effect we have zero standing in wanting a better port. Why should we have a say when we provided bub-kiss/crapola to the pubs/devs?
Huh?! how in the hell was I able to run atelier sophie with smooth 60 fps on pc but I couldn't get 10 fps with this one on the same pc. There cant be THAT much of a difference..... (oh btw im still really grateful to you igg <3)
Like I said, better than nothing or an emulation and dealing with Google translate. Nothing wrong with wanting a better port - but Christ, some people are getting picky. And... you're getting the game for free.
Not sure where you're going with this but again, the emu would be untranslated. The moral majority would be unable to comprehend it and just as many would balk at using machine translations.
If you want a better port then just play it on console, simple as that since these games were design to consoles themselves and not PCs . Ps:Majority of Japanese programers cant make pc ports since their only knowledge is making for consoles
because these link from google and comment is too dangerous according to my pc

Arguably the best 'Atelier' games of all space and time!
Although, why you put it under 'Nudity' is beyond me...
A-Typical of most 'Atelier' series:
