To anyone having issues, it's pretty straight forward, I'll tell you exactly what I did. Works flawless on my MR Dell Visor.
Extract the folder to wherever.
Keep going up the hierarchy until you find the final "VR.Kanojo 1.20" (it'll be next to some short cuts to this website).
Cut/paste that folder to wherever you want your install to be.
Rename the folder to just "VR Kanojo", remove the numbers and "."
Now you see the address bar above where it shows your folder path? It's the path in Windows explorer uptop. In a bar. Just click it, and it'll be a copy-able url. Ex - "f:\my pc\games". COPY IT!
Open the game folder, right click on "reg.reg", click "open with", and select notepad.
Once the file is open, just press "ctrl-f", and search for "install". It'll be within the first ten or so lines of text, but searching makes it fast.
Paste that url you copied earlier INSIDE of the quotes. Replacing the default path it gives.
IMPORTANT - Edit the url by putting a second "" beside each one. Then add 2 more at the END of the url. Ex - this "f:\my pc\games" becomes this "f:\my pc\games\"
Run "InitSetting.exe". A window will open. Click "update" at the bottom right, next to the cancel button. It'll download about 600mb of and update, so let it complete.
Run "VRKanojo", and enjoy.
Optional - If it's in japanese, open the "userdata" folder, than open that "setup.xml" with notepad. Change the "language" to "1". If there IS no file, it's because you haven't run initsettings again. It should work now, it did for me, zero problems. The people commenting mentioned there would be a new folder titled "VR Kanojo" in your game folder, but that never happens. Some were also saying you needed to go in the update folder and drag a patch to the root, and/or run the game from somewhere else. All of this is wrong. Do exactly as I described, and it'll be just fine. Don't know where all this other weird information comes from. I'm guessing because it refers to an older update. It updated to 1.31 for me, so if that's the latest update, my way works just fine. Enjoy. Happy fappin :)
Hi! I have a little issue here.. I did exactly the same as you did, step by step- It now updated the newest version, though, when I run the new Vr Kanojo, it only shows a small icon of the game and a red X button then I can't move my mouse around the screen- It doesn't let me play nor does it show the screen game.

wrongi graphics card error??. it does load but it only show in my pc screen not in the steam vr application it just loads in there. and when i move my head the game seems to be running ok.any fixes?? also my graphics card doesnt support 2 hdmi port so i put my monitor in my motherboard hdmi port and the headset trough the graphics card.
Everything is tested and scanned before being uploaded, this website is virus free. If you get a trojan, it's false positive, like explained http://igg-games.com/virus-trojan.html.
An iso file is a disk image. Mount it with Daemon Tools (if you don't have that, it's on the software tab) and install the game from the CD you just virtually loaded. As to the antivirus flagging it, everything on this site is tested and found clean. False positives are very common with crack files. Whitelist it in your antivirus before installing to ensure the game actually installs.
I've tried 4-5 of the download links, including the torrent version. I only seem to get v1.06, not v1.20. Non of the files mentioned in instructions below ("reg.reg" or "initsetting exe") apear anywhere in any of the downloads, or extracted files, or installed locations. What the hell is going on??

To clarify with the update thing. Download the file above and extract. Take the folder housing all the game contents and put it somewhere. Rename this folder to VRKanojo. Go into the folder, and open the reg file with notepad. Change the install directory to the folder that has the game contents in it (VRKanojo). Make sure you put \ instead of . Also put \ at the end it. Ex: "C:\Users\user\Desktop\VRKanojo\" Double click the reg file and hit yes (add it to registry). Then run the initsetting exe to update. There will be a new folder in VRKanojo called VRKanojo. This folder will have a folder in it called update if you cant figure which one I am talking about. Drag this new folder someplace else. This is your new game folder. To change the language to english, go to userdata, and open setup with notepad. Change language from 0 to 1. Enjoy!
Little tip for people trying to update the game for use with WMR. I finally got it to work. The steps are the same as below. Change the reg file to list your install directory, anywhere there is one / put 2 //, also at the very end add //. The most important part for me is to rename the download folder so it is ONLY VR Kanojo without the 1.20. And also when you edit the reg file make sure to remove the 1.20 from your file name there also so it is only VR Kanojo. This fixed it for me. Open the init file, run the update, you will then have a separate download in your folder called vrkanojo patch. Copy the contents of that file into your original game location and boom WMR is good to go. It still says 1.20 in the game screen, but everything works. If you run the files from the patch folder it will work, but it won't be in English. That's why you must copy the contents from the patch folder to the original game folder and overwrite all. Hope this helps.

It doesn't work, I've tried it every way. It will download the update and say it's there, but then get the error when you actually press update. Hopefully someone can upload the real update or working instructions.
there is a comment below on how to update the game. the WMR was added after but you can still update. He doesn't mention in the comment below but after you do what he says you have to run InitSetting.exe instead of VRKanojo.exe to update and then when that is finished run the game
Game got black screen and wont start. Maybe because of i dont connect my pc with the vr headset? I'm just testing it and looking forward to play but seems doesn't work for me here

You can set the directory to somewhere else, lets say desktop. Install the patch, then copy the folder that it will make and paste it in the game directory.
Guys i need some help, whenever i launch the game in steam vr the game turns black and steam vr says that vrKanojo is unresponsive. also when i attempt to launch InitSetting.exe, it just crashes and provides an error message saying: "windows is checking for a solution to the problem..." thanks
you need to plugin the vr headset into your graphics card directly and disable all other monitors which are not plugged into the same graphics card. you can do so in display settings. then start steam vr and the game again. im using 2 monitors, and it took me a while till i found out its because of the 2nd screen.
Its ok but it really isnt worth the money.So im glad i had the chance to download a free copy. They are capitalizing an already expensive product. Mabey this is the reason why japanese birth rate is so low lol.
