Okay, I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I'm frustrated. Whenever I download all the links and go into the folder, the only files that appear are the 3 main ones: torrent, igg, and the read me. Nothing else, so I can't even attempt to launch the game. Is anyone else having this issue?
DAEMON Tools Lite google it then download you will load the iso file in with that and it will start the install process also i am sure you will fine help vids on youtube for using it
IS there files called iso? after u extract the rar files? if u have window 10 u can open the iso file with window explorer by right click it and press open with window explorer then u can install the game, make sure u have anti virus deactivated in case becuz crack will auto deleted by anti virus

just use a trainer search good for "tales of berseria pc trainer" and you'll find this conveinient tool that hacks the game as you play it. i tend to use them for any rpg games i play so i dob't have to grind and can focus on the story more.
It's included with the download. If it's not in the game's .iso in a folder labeled "crack", it'll be in a folder labeled after a cracking circle (CODEX, ALI, etc.).
okay i think i did it right but it doesn't open the game at all or redirect me elsewhere like steam. i mounted the iso with DAEMON tool Lite i copied the files on crack into game folder i dont know where i went wrong please help me.

Couple of causes for this issue, and things you could try: -It's likely that either your computer cannot run the game, either due to not meeting the requirements or due to your hardware not being compatible or it might be your antivirus software/firewall blocking the game from running. Keep in mind the game requires a 64-bit OS to work, it will not run on 32-bit systems. -If it redirects you to Steam, then the crack is either not working properly or incorrectly applied. If you're sure you installed it correctly then you could check for an alternative crack on google and try that instead, it might be that the provided crack just doesn't work well with your system. -Try running the game as admin. Okayy... Game is simply not opening for me. Cursor says it's loading, then it just stops. The process "Tales of Berseria" stays for a while in task manager, then just dissapears. Quite annoying... Anyone have the same issue?? Maybe a fix? (I'd already applied the crack and installed everything in the _CommonRedist folde)

That said, part 10 works fine and download's active on both Google Drive and MEGA, so I don't know what issue you're experiencing.
hi, I just installed Tales couple days ago and running it now it won't work and brings up Steam. Has Steam found a fix for the current crack? edit: nvm, seems even if I tick the option to copy the crack while installing when the installation pop up comes up I still need to copy the crack manually
Strangely enough I just ticked the option and it moved the crack on its own. I guess different computers have their own weird quirks. It's good you got it working, though. Hope you enjoy the game!
could you help me? I can't get the game to run, it shows the loading cursor thing for a second and nothing happens. I don't get why it won't work; I mounted the iso and copied the crack files but i don't know where I went wrong.
Two likely causes: Either your computer cannot run it (You do not meet the requirements or your hardware simply isn't compatible), or your antivirus program/firewall has blocked the game's files thinking it's a virus. I've heard of people whose antivirus blocks certain files in their game folder which keeps it from running, disabling the antivirus on installation and setting the entire folder as an exception usually solved those issues. Unfortunately if the issue is your computer then the only solution is to get an upgrade. Should be noted that this game is 64-bit only. Another thing you could try is to just use a different crack than the one provided. A quick google search should bring up some alternatives which might work better on your system.
Excuse me, does anyone know how to fix the "Appcrash error" because of the MSVCR120.dll besides re-installing the VCRedists, re-installing the game or using the NoSteam patch? Because that doesn't work for me. Thank you very much. And before you ask, I re-installed all VCRedists from 2008 to 2015 just to make sure, tried to use the crack provided in the installer and the NoSteam patch respectively, tried to run it as Administrator, tried to manually register msvcr120,dll using CMD, tried using Compatibility Mode and it still doesn't work. Try using aio runtime https://www.computerbase.de/downloads/systemtools/all-in-one-runtimes/ , I can run game event if my pc doesn't meet minimum requirement, its in dutch but I don't think you would have problem installing it, its solve issue when 32bit program have problem running 64bit os, games like hyperdimension neptunia series couldnt run on my radeon hd 5570 series until i install this runtimes and it works.I can event run god eater on my PC, download and install it.

Alright so for people are having issues with TBFix and their copy of Tales of Berseria So first if you’re unaware there is a fan made fix that adds in various tweaks to the game. So here we go step by step on how to get this working with your CPY copy without running into issues like the dreaded “steam is offline” message that many people are running into and are forced into a many game of “lets see how many times i have to launch this before it works”. (1). Install Tales of Berseria to any location other than the Program Files and x86 folders and change the game’s folder name to anything other than Tales of Berseria EX. Install to C:\Games\ToB (2). Install the crack like you normally would. (3). Download the latest TBFix from the steam link posted above. For people that are looking into this: Really not worth the hassle. Another user already did plenty on research into this "fix" and the short and sweet of it is that while it does do a lot to make the game smoother, it is plenty smooth without it and it's just too big of a hassle to get it working otherwise. Also, the creator of the fix is actively trying to get it to not work with CPY's cracked release which means future versions will most likely not work with anything short of a Steam-bought copy. hey guys, when do you think would be the best time to use the dlcs? i activate all the doubles stuff but i dont want to be too powerful in the early game
Never, the game is easy enough as is. I've been playing on Moderate difficulty, skipping most monsters/battles, and I'm underleveled by 10~15 levels against enemies at level ~40 with little problems. They don't design games centered around you requiring the use of DLC which would be shitty scumbag move e.g. "A game so fucking difficult you need to pay $5 to actually get through it", essentially P2W, or some mobile game. DLC is just there for people who suck or want to blast through the game for the story/content, lessen the grind, even though there's also an easy mode.

tried redownloading/reinstalling it? also make sure you installed the vcredist.exe in the _CommonRedist folder if you dont have microsoft visual studio
my copy works just fine no audio issues IF i do not use sourround which isnt an issue anyway. No ai bugs no gui bugs so im stickin with this version. everything works as it should least on mine. NOTE: every pc is differant so what may work on mine may not work on others If at all. :)
Is there a another way to use the other two artes instead of tapping a key. The shit + click isn't working only tapping the key works, and i have no controller either.
The artes on controls there are four slots the other two is working properly in left click and right click for mouse, but the other two slots needs to use the shit key (shift + left/right click) and it's not working only tapping to the keyboard works.
yeah there does not seem to be a fix for that yet. You can try changing the artes to QEUO so you can still use movement and IJKL camera while fighting.
does the "Fix" by kailaden work with the cracked version? and if so,how do you make it work? i've tried numerous times with different versions of the "Fix" to no avail. please tell me.
I already explained this once in a comment further below, To get it to run here all you have to do is change a couple properties in the ini files. You'll need to toggle enablefix if your audio stops working. Also make sure you're not running any other programs that use OSD otherwise you won't be able to see the fix GUI. As far as it actually "working" I have no idea. YMMV but my game runs like shit with this "fix" not that I really needed it in the first place as PC runs fine without it so I don't really care too much about it. As you can tell by the graph it comes with it constantly dips to 4fps, flatlines to about 30fps, and peaks at 70fps over and over every some seconds. I don't know if it's a problem with my PC, the crack, the "fix", or a combination, but it's also able tell if you're a filthy pirate so... idk, maybe he designed it that way on cracked versions. I'm pretty sure you need to config it manually to adapt to your system. The installer version seems to allow you to config it automatically to suit your needs (no max antialiasing if your PC can't handle it, for example). The manual version forces you to do it manually. That said, the fix is most certainly NOT worth it. What it "fixes" are very minor things you won't notice most of the time anyway, stuff like slight cut-off shadows that aren't visible unless you're looking for them and removing the dark border around images during skits (though I personally like them, reminds me to the thicker linework style from previous entries). The ONLY fix I find worthwhile is the draw distance enhancer, so bushes/grass stops popping up 5 feet in front of you, but while this is jarring I don't think it's an issue that makes it be worth the hassle. Still, thanks for sharing how to get the fix working for those interested in it! EDIT: Decided to try it, it actually didn't work for me. Even changing the d3d9.ini's properties kept giving me a message about the game complaining that steam is in offline mode. I'll take it as a sign and just forget about it, my game runs at solid 60 FPS 90% of the time as it is and I'd rather not break it for something I don't need. ;;
EDIT: The "fix" is flawed and will not work for everyone. It's incompatible with some hardware or something. I've not really seen any complaints about it, other than one comment below who had the same problem as me. Either way, I can live without it. I'm already 15+ hours in without any problems with the game itself.

As I mentioned earlier, using the fix on my Win7 PC with i3-6100 and RX 470 yields very unstable fps (2~70 fps; 45 avg) with constant stuttering every other second. However, when I tested it on a Win10 PC with Phenom II X4 965 and GTX 550 Ti it ran perfectly fine at 60 fps. So... yeah, there are problems with the "fix" that apparently hasn't been addressed. In short, this likely wouldn't have worked properly for me either way even if I didn't use the crack. It had nothing to do with the recent anti-piracy check of his.

I have done some research and found out that there is a sound bug for the English voice acting that got reintroduced during a patch, so the devs are trying to fix it in a new patch. Which means the game needs to be updated here as well in order to fix it.
Hate to say this, but if the audio isn't working for you then odds are your sound card's not DX 11 compatible and will not work with this game. It's either that or you using wrong settings. My only idea is to try checking the game's settings to make sure its not muted and that your volume control panel is listing the game on it, I had no issues with the game's audio so I really don't know what else could be the cause.
Look inside the extract folder find the folder name crack copy all the files inside and paste to the game folder where you installed tales of berseria.
Anyone here tried the "Fix" for enhance/boost performance for the game? Does it work for you? It's a mod from the modders on steam. As for now, it doesn't work for crack copy of the game :p Sad.. There's some cool 'fashion' mod though..
I read around other sites and it really didn't take that long for people to figure out how to get the fix working. All you have to do is change the silent property to yes in d3d9.ini, and if your audio screws up toggle enablefix property in fix.ini. Also make sure you're not running any other programs with OSDs because the fix uses it. Otherwise you won't be able to see it's UI. It wasn't worth the trouble for me at all to try and figure out how to make this "fix"/enhancement work as it made my game run like shit. Not sure if it's really because of my computer, the fix, crack, or some other complication. I'm running an i3-6100 with an RX 470 and I'm able to run it at max settings with 58~60 fps so it's not really much of an issue with me whether I use it or not, but I was just curious how the graphic enhancements looked. With the fix the game ran at ~45 fps with really bad stuttering at literally every other second. I didn't see anyone have the same problem I had.

I found my way tweaking around until I manage to make it really work on my system. The 1st fps drop for me due to conflict w/ my nvidia control panel settings. So I reverted the settings to global for the game and it runs fine now on 60 fps. Then, I tried to play around on the 'fix' settings. Shadow, texture, post-processing, etc. works until I set the AA on which requires you to restart the game. After I applied it, boom can't run the game. I just deleted all the text file in the 'logs' folder to revert everything. Didn't read the author's description on how the AA works on his mod/fix. It conflicts on the in-game AA settings so I had to set it off and it works flawless for me now. I notice a little difference when the AA set on. 2x AA runs smooth stable 60 fps. Higher than 2x, slow motion and fps playing around 56 to 52 fps even setting the other option to low settings didn't help so I stayed on 2x AA. My system AMD FX 4100/GTX 960 Ti/Windows 8.1. So here's my final settings w/ the fix: AA: 2x Texture> Sharpness(mipmap LOD bias): -1.500 Post-processing> DoF: Medium Bloom: High Reflection: High Shadows> Character: High Environment: Normal In-game: Borderless Draw Distance(NPC/Environment/Objects) all set to middle Anisotropic filtering: 16x The rest set to off Been playing w/ this setting for a long hours w/o a problem. Just a bit of stutter in big places w/ lots of NPC but it goes back smooth fast w/ no fps drop. The enhance is not that noticeable unless you really take time to compare the difference; e.g. screenshot before/after. The AA makes the quality image more like in rich color. Others is naked on the eye ;) Never actually realized the AA setting in-game is broken and it doesn't really do anything or maybe it works w/o the "fix" mod installed but doesn't really do the job it suppose to do :p The only thing I like w/ the fix is the draw distance(mipmap LOD bias) it loads really smooth than the standard from the game and the frame limiter which makes the fps stable and doesn't drop big time. Others are just optional if you care about how you want it to look. And yes, I believe it will not work for everyone especially if their system can't support the demand of the "fix" program and other complicated stuff. Overall, it's much better w/o it and for everyone not to bother on it and just enjoy it as it is.
Just click save in drive and send the file to your google drive account. After that just right-click and make a copy of the file, and for whatever reason google will let you download it regardless. Not sure why. Hope this helps.
A thank-you to @korone:disqus and @KentDA:disqus for their assistance with my problem. Though neither one of the solutions fixed it, I appreciate the help. I've been trying to get it to work since late last night, and I just fixed it. I downloaded nosTEAM's version and it works now. In other words, if anyone else is having an issue where your game doesnt recognize your save files, and have tried many fixes to no avail, downloading nosTEAM's version of the game may fix it.
I was having the same problem with you, but it solved already by untick the read-only box in the save game folder properties and tick the allow indexing.... thingy box in the advanced button on the next tab.

do not use 7zip to unzip it use winrar and start with the first part UNZIP IT ALL not just one part and your golden ALSO check the iso for the crack folder :) youll find the crack files there :) Enjoy And look for my let's Play of this soon as i beat the story first on my own haha
I had the same problem with 7-Zip Just use WinRAR to extract the files, i don't know about you but it fixed the problem for me! :) If You have the same problem with WinRAR send me another screenshot of the error if you can... Good Luck!
Part 9 and Part 15 are corrupt.. You have to re-download those parts and then try again... If you still have the same problem download the game again or download a torrent
For giggles, I re-downloaded all links from GD and no errors - using WinRAR. If you want to conserve bandwidth, notice the part at which you receive the error - with in your case is part 9 and 15. Rarely will an archive completely fail if it's in parts... usually.
No wait, I'm off by a bit. Just looked at the game and the art style, while similar, is clearly less professional that ToB. My excuse is that its been a while since I last saw the artwork.
It's not really uncommon to see things like this. It's possible the artist for the game worked on an h-game at some point, it's also possible that the artstyle is just very similar. Needless to say this isn't an h-game, but it also wouldn't be a Tales game without its own hot spring/bathhouse scene.
check the tabs for a wifi lookin icon the dlc is all there you have to choose to use it :) TIP: save the level up ones for when you have a full party or youll just waste em. I currently have my velvet in her fairytale costume. :) love that look
Found it already. Also, I found out that if you use the level up early, the party members that join later on will jump to the current level of the party. But it makes early fights a little boring because you are too op.
For anyone having issues with savegames, this is what I did to avoid any problems! In the directory where ToB is installed, do two things. A) create a folder called savegame (savegames, saves, whatever!) B) edit the CPY file and edit the line called savepath. SavePath=E:\games\Tales of Berseria\savegame Is what I have (change the drive & folders as appropriate of course). Voila!
Unfortunately the cpy doesnt allow me to edit it, it asks me to create another cpy file and then tells me the file is just for reading or something like that.
The install folder is CRITICAL. If you installed it to c:\Program Files or c:\Program Files(x86) you will find yourself in a world of frustration and pain.
Right click the CPY.ini file and hit properties, then make sure it's not set to read-only. If it is, uncheck it and then hit apply and okay. Once that's done make your edits and then save it, just be sure to set it to read-only again once you're done editing.
As I said above, install folder matters. Windows is rather rude when it comes to games in c:\program files and c:\program files(x86). That's why if it lets you CHOOSE where to install, install it to a games subfolder. ie c:\games\game name That's also a good idea for organization when you need to find something.
Yeah I find this weird as well. I havent started the game yet since I want to stream it. So I dont know if the save issue will be a problem or not. In any case I just saw your other post about the cpy folder and checking its not in read-only. In case something happens I'll check that method. Still thanks for your help.
The weird thing is that I just checked my CPY.ini and it's not read-only, haven't touched it since I got the game, either. I guess if you do stumble upon the issue you could try making a new text document, copy the contents of CPY.ini into it and save it as CPY.txt, then backup CPY.ini somewhere safe. delete it and rename CPY.txt to CPY.ini. Hope you get it to work fine though!
I tried this and what Kaozurei suggested, but neither one helped. When I found the CPY save location I noticed that it saved the game each time, but the issue seems to be that my game doesn't access the saves for the purpose of loading them. They also don't show up when I try to, say, save over them.
You mentioned you found some ideas for the default Steam installation, you could try converting that to this version, see if that works. Other than that... The only other thing I can think of is just a reinstall and see if that works, I don't think your antivirus might be messing with the game's save files but I guess you could try disabling it temporarily too. As I posted on my wall of text below I got the game off MEGA and Google Drive and it runs perfectly fine, I even made a ton of savefiles to test and they all load fine, I don't know why it wouldn't work for you, especially if you try the savefile location edit suggested by KentDA,

I got the game through MEGA, but like I stated in the other post I havent played it since I want stream the game. I'll tell you if I didnt got any problems when I save the game for the first time.
I've had problems with many games where the crack created its own savegame folder, usually in a HIDDEN folder on the windows drive. If there is an INI or CFG included in the crack, check and see if there is anything listing savegame location. Just make sure you have a dedicated folder already made before you run the game!
I've never really had issues with games refusing to save, even this one saves fine with the default settings, so I never thought about changing the savegame directory through the .ini. Now I know how to help people that might have trouble getting their games to save in the future. Thanks again!
Took me quite a while to get this one, stupid real life getting in the way ; ~; Downloaded from a mix of Google Drive and MEGA, downloaded, extracted, mounted and installed with no issues. Overall a quality upload, as always.
One thing to note is that this is a CPY cracked game, meaning that after you install the game you need to be sure to copy the contents of the "Crack" folder, found inside the game's .iso, and place them inside the game's installation folder replacing any relevant files. From there on you can just use the shortcut to play. The game itself runs really well, I haven't been able to get too far yet but I'm experiencing a smooth 60 FPS throughout the opening sequence with only minor hiccups when first entering an area. Audio works fine and the game itself looks amazing for how little hardware power it needs to run. The combat system itself is a bit annoying and I feel is a step back from the system used in Zestiria, but I'm sure it'll grow on me eventually. I have not encountered any issues with saving the game or any issues with crashing or unplayable levels of lag so far.

There's an unofficial fix/patch made by Steam user "Kaldaien" (http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=853201760 ), this patch seems to fix minor graphical issues as well as more severe issues related to the game's antialiasing, among other things. The fix is also a console of sorts to manage texture modding. After fiddling around with it for about an hour I can sadly confirm that both the installer and manual install versions of this fix are NOT compatible with cracked games, as attempting to launch the game with this fix installed results in the game complaining about Steam being set to "offline mode", even if Steam is opened either using a legit account or a Steam emulator. Even though the fix cannot be used with this download, the game seems to run well enough without it and I feel it is not ESSENTIAL to enjoying the game. That said, if anyone can find a way to make it work then please do share it here!

This is also a prequel of sorts (not directly, but setting-wise) to Tales of Zestiria so if you got that game and haven't started it yet I highly recommend you give Berseria a playthrough beforehand. I'm having a spot of trouble here. Game won't save, and I don't know where the game is supposed to save to so I can look for the file. When I look it up via google, the only answer I get has to do with the save location if purchased through steam. Does anybody know where the saves for Tales of Berseria are?
Welp, RIP me. I've tried your solution, Kaozurei's solution, and uninstalling/reinstalling, and also downloading it from Mega/Google Drive instead of Torrent, then reinstalling it, but I still can't load any of my saves. Looking like if I want to play it, I have to not stop til I beat it lol
Hi there, sorry I couldn't get to you earlier. I didn't have any problems with saving the game or loading any of the saves I made, so I don't know what could possibly be the issue here. The game saves into the default CPY save folder. Specifically for this game, it is: C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\CPY_SAVES\CPY\429660 All I can think of is to make sure the folder is not set to "Read-only" and I recommend you make at least 3 saves at all times, both for missable content and in case something goes wrong. Hope you find a solution to your issue and sorry I can't help more. EDIT: Top comment on the game's page also gives another solution you can try.

i believe on steam there is a fanpatch that applies fixes to all or most of the big problems. I'm just not 100% sure that it will be possible to use that fix with this crack.
I believe it is the latest, but the latest official fix fixed the big problems and created others. Currently, on Steam, there is an unofficial fix that seems to work. i am, however, not sure that it will work with this crack.
Got it, the .exe installer will not work since it detects whether the game is installed through steam or not, but the manual install method MIGHT work. I'll mess around with this a bit and then make a post at the top sharing my findings. Thanks for the link!
check the iso there is a folder with the crack in it copy EVERYTHING in that folder to the installation folder (not the folder itself just the contents) and you can then play it
Also DONT SET IT TO SOURROUND theres still an issue with that depending on your system :) set the game to Stereo if you own a headset though with say 7.1 in it itll still use it :) theres a full fix coming in for that but the AI fix IS in this version so I can handle the workaround :)

Couple of causes for this issue, and things you could try:
-It's likely that either your computer cannot run the game, either due to not meeting the requirements or due to your hardware not being compatible or it might be your antivirus software/firewall blocking the game from running. Keep in mind the game requires a 64-bit OS to work, it will not run on 32-bit systems.
-If it redirects you to Steam, then the crack is either not working properly or incorrectly applied. If you're sure you installed it correctly then you could check for an alternative crack on google and try that instead, it might be that the provided crack just doesn't work well with your system.
-Try running the game as admin.
Some from a quick snoop around Steam
-Check to make sure you do not have more than 2-3 USB devices plugged into your computer.
-Disconnect any USB gamepads at launch, you might be able to reconnect them afterwards.
-If you have any overlays (Discord, Fraps, MSI afterburner, Steam, etc.) disable them and close their respective programs. The game does not like overlays.
-If you're using Kaldaien's patch, don't. The game does not need it and it will cause issues with pirated games
-If you've previously used Kaldaien's patches for other games (Zestiria, NieR: Automata), uninstall them and make sure you delete ALL related files, including Special K in your documents folder.
-Uninstall the provided Microsoft Visual C++ redist, redownload it from Microsoft's site and reinstall. I dunno, people claim that worked.
Unfortunately that's about all I know regarding this issue. You could search around google and see if you can find more information there since I just did a quick search on my own, but that's about all the help I can give. As a last ditch effort, you could try a redownload and reinstall since it might've been corrupted. Hope at least some of this helps.

That said, part 10 works fine and download's active on both Google Drive and MEGA, so I don't know what issue you're experiencing.
edit: nvm, seems even if I tick the option to copy the crack while installing when the installation pop up comes up I still need to copy the crack manually

I've heard of people whose antivirus blocks certain files in their game folder which keeps it from running, disabling the antivirus on installation and setting the entire folder as an exception usually solved those issues. Unfortunately if the issue is your computer then the only solution is to get an upgrade. Should be noted that this game is 64-bit only.
Another thing you could try is to just use a different crack than the one provided. A quick google search should bring up some alternatives which might work better on your system.
And before you ask, I re-installed all VCRedists from 2008 to 2015 just to make sure, tried to use the crack provided in the installer and the NoSteam patch respectively, tried to run it as Administrator, tried to manually register msvcr120,dll using CMD, tried using Compatibility Mode and it still doesn't work. Thank you very much again.

message that many people are running into and are forced into a many
game of “lets see how many times i have to launch this before it works”.
(1). Install Tales of Berseria to any location other than the Program
Files and x86 folders and change the game’s folder name to anything
other than Tales of Berseria
EX. Install to C:\Games\ToB
(2). Install the crack like you normally would.
(3). Download the latest TBFix from the steam link posted above. DO
NOT DOWNLOAD SKIM64 and instead look for the manual installation
downloads found under version history in that post.

(4). Uncompress tbfix xxxx.7z and drag the all files into your main game folder (where the exe is located)
(5). Launch the game and close out any message about updating and

(6). Open up d3d9.ini located in the main game folder and look for [Steam.Log] and right under that change Silent to equal yes.

They don't design games centered around you requiring the use of DLC which would be shitty scumbag move e.g. "A game so fucking difficult you need to pay $5 to actually get through it", essentially P2W, or some mobile game. DLC is just there for people who suck or want to blast through the game for the story/content, lessen the grind, even though there's also an easy mode.

To get it to run here all you have to do is change a couple properties in the ini files. You'll need to toggle enablefix if your audio stops working. Also make sure you're not running any other programs that use OSD otherwise you won't be able to see the fix GUI. As far as it actually "working" I have no idea.
YMMV but my game runs like shit with this "fix" not that I really needed it in the first place as PC runs fine without it so I don't really care too much about it. As you can tell by the graph it comes with it constantly dips to 4fps, flatlines to about 30fps, and peaks at 70fps over and over every some seconds. I don't know if it's a problem with my PC, the crack, the "fix", or a combination, but it's also able tell if you're a filthy pirate so... idk, maybe he designed it that way on cracked versions.
EDIT: The problem is the "fix" not being compatible with some part of my PC. I'm assuming hardware / AMD GPU or something.

automatically to suit your needs (no max antialiasing if your PC can't handle it, for example). The manual version forces you to do it manually.
That said, the fix is most certainly NOT worth it. What it "fixes" are very minor things you won't notice most of the time anyway, stuff like slight cut-off shadows that aren't visible unless you're looking for them and removing the dark border around images during skits (though I personally like them, reminds me to the thicker linework style from previous entries).
The ONLY fix I find worthwhile is the draw distance enhancer, so bushes/grass stops popping up 5 feet in front of you, but while this is jarring I don't think it's an issue that makes it be worth the hassle. Still, thanks for sharing how to get the fix working for those interested in it!
EDIT: Decided to try it, it actually didn't work for me. Even changing the d3d9.ini's properties kept giving me a message about the game complaining that steam is in offline mode. I'll take it as a sign and just forget about it, my game runs at solid 60 FPS 90% of the time as it is and I'd rather not break it for something I don't need. ;;
Well, the "fix" actually did work at some point. He wasn't too happy about it and has taken action to prevent it from working properly assuming that he isn't lying -- trolling.

In short, this likely wouldn't have worked properly for me either way even if I didn't use the crack. It had nothing to do with the recent anti-piracy check of his.

My only idea is to try checking the game's settings to make sure its not muted and that your volume control panel is listing the game on it, I had no issues with the game's audio so I really don't know what else could be the cause.
It wasn't worth the trouble for me at all to try and figure out how to make this "fix"/enhancement work as it made my game run like shit. Not sure if it's really because of my computer, the fix, crack, or some other complication. I'm running an i3-6100 with an RX 470 and I'm able to run it at max settings with 58~60 fps so it's not really much of an issue with me whether I use it or not, but I was just curious how the graphic enhancements looked. With the fix the game ran at ~45 fps with really bad stuttering at literally every other second. I didn't see anyone have the same problem I had.

Been playing w/ this setting for a long hours w/o a problem. Just a bit of stutter in big places w/ lots of NPC but it goes back smooth fast w/ no fps drop. The enhance is not that noticeable unless you really take time to compare the difference; e.g. screenshot before/after. The AA makes the quality image more like in rich color. Others is naked on the eye ;)
Never actually realized the AA setting in-game is broken and it doesn't really do anything or maybe it works w/o the "fix" mod installed but doesn't really do the job it suppose to do :p The only thing I like w/ the fix is the draw distance(mipmap LOD bias) it loads really smooth than the standard from the game and the frame limiter which makes the fps stable and doesn't drop big time. Others are just optional if you care about how you want it to look. And yes, I believe it will not work for everyone especially if their system can't support the demand of the "fix" program and other complicated stuff. Overall, it's much better w/o it and for everyone not to bother on it and just enjoy it as it is.

Just use WinRAR to extract the files, i don't know about you but it fixed the problem for me! :)

If you want to conserve bandwidth, notice the part at which you receive the error - with in your case is part 9 and 15. Rarely will an archive completely fail if it's in parts... usually.
Needless to say this isn't an h-game, but it also wouldn't be a Tales game without its own hot spring/bathhouse scene.
In the directory where ToB is installed, do two things.
A) create a folder called savegame (savegames, saves, whatever!)
B) edit the CPY file and edit the line called savepath.
SavePath=E:\games\Tales of Berseria\savegame
Is what I have (change the drive & folders as appropriate of course). Voila!

I guess if you do stumble upon the issue you could try making a new text document, copy the contents of CPY.ini into it and save it as CPY.txt, then backup CPY.ini somewhere safe. delete it and rename CPY.txt to CPY.ini.

Other than that... The only other thing I can think of is just a reinstall and see if that works, I don't think your antivirus might be messing with the game's save files but I guess you could try disabling it temporarily too.
As I posted on my wall of text below I got the game off MEGA and Google Drive and it runs perfectly fine, I even made a ton of savefiles to test and they all load fine, I don't know why it wouldn't work for you, especially if you try the savefile location edit suggested by KentDA,
