There's a Crack Fixed DLC thing just above the system requirements. After applying that crack I no longer need to use RunAsDate to change the date on my PC to June 2017. So that crack fixes the bug that prevents the game from opening properly on dates after June 2017 as well. After adding the fix you will have to add the following files to the game's main directory: extend.bra enextend.bra extend01.bra enextend01.bra sound.bra ensound.bra system.bra ensystem.bra game.bra engame.bra Easiest way I found was to create a new txt file and then open it in Notepad and save as for each file required. Credits to @TKR1412:disqus for the list of file names and where to put them.
For those curious, the update that fixed the 2017 issue also changed how the games files are stored. Instead of being loose files in folders, they are now stored in .bra archives. The game can still access and use the loose files perfectly fine but it does require the .bra archives to be present.
click file>save files and rename it to each one of these extend.bra enextend.bra extend01.bra enextend01.bra sound.bra ensound.bra system.bra ensystem.bra game.bra engame.bra
dont forget to change save as type to all files, encoding stay the same utf-8
Mind telling me on which folder those .bra files are? It keep saying place those .bra files on the main game folder but I can't even find those files as I have no idea inside which folder.
Update request sent. Hopefully we get that fix soon. (Also, thanks for the workaround, community! Sucks when you run into a bug like this and have no idea how to fix it)
Important apparently idea factory said they updated the the game so you don't need to change the date anymore this needs to be updated someone tell the igg games staff.
For future reference, head to the request page for this sort of thing. It's a lot faster than posting a comment here and hoping someone else comes along to do it. IGG Request Page: https://igg-games.com/pc-game-046235489-request.html Just make sure you aren't requesting something that was already requested (CTRL+F to search the page real quick) Not trying to be a jerk or anything, just for future reference. :)
Im not having any errors for files but when I open the game it just crashes with 1 black screen, and I downloaded it a year back and it was fine, but why now? P-P this is also happening with all the other games I wanted to play that I downloaded last year.
I found a fix for the EXTEND.bra problem. After applying the CRACK FIXED DLC, just create the files the error is finding. For EN version these are: extend.bra extend01.bra game.bra sound.bra system.bra enextend.bra enextend01.bra engame.bra ensound.bra ensystem.bra The easiest way to make the blank files is to open up notepad and Save As using the filenames above. Move the file where the game exe is then you can play without changing the date.
needed to change PC calendar to june/2017 to run the game . . . its little boring need to change the calendar everytime to play the game =/ fix that please
Same , don't know if it's due to a Update or whatever 'cause back when I first DDl it , it worked perfectly. Now it does exactly the same thing, black screen for 1sec then nothing Can't find a crack that work so maybe will have to wait for another crack...
well, it's a little late but better than nothing I suppose. I had the same problem, you just need to disable all DLCs and never press Z, just remap it to some difficult to reach key and you're good to go, never crashed since
For smooth fps/gameplay, try to lower resolution(720p) and set to full screen. Set off Shadow and Outline Render too. It helps to load a bit faster. On the world map, there's also a pause/stutter for a few seconds when viewing each location which drops your fps. You can avoid this one by removing some files in the game directory. Go to game directory/Common/MOVIE. There's a folder name "thum", move it somewhere out of the game directory. You can also remove those 3 logo video files too if you want an easy skip every time you start the game. The game opening vid file is in a different location name EN/MOVIE just do the same. Don't delete! Just place it somewhere for safety reason if it doesn't work for you =P When you start the game, you'll notice those thumbnail video will not be there and just pitch black. This is just a workaround for those whose annoyed w/ the pause when viewing location in world map. For optional enhancement, you can use a third-party tool ReShade. The game is heavily deep in bloom/DoF/blur. The tool can ease a bit of those w/ a few tweaks. To those who already knew the tool, I use this settings: Clarity Lumasharpen Colourfulness Others who I've read in other forums also use this: HDR, AdaptiveSharpen, FineSharp Mode 3 This set up works fine for me. You can try your own if you've got a good PC set up. Try to play around w/ the resolution. Windowed mode also helps btw but its too small if 720p XD Hope this helps!
May I ask what your PC specs are? Tried setting it to 720p on my gaming laptop and it looked and still played like utter shite. Gonna try my main Desktop PC if it runs better but I just need a reference.
AMD FX 4100(toaster) GTX 960 Ti 4gb superclocked(factory unlocked) 8gb ram Windows 8.1 64bit Only runs slow for me if there's too much blur. Try to start in Window mode 720p then press Alt+Enter if it works. Also, try to play around w/ your GPU settings too. Nvidia or AMD control panel.
Whenever the game goes to the main menu the it resets the volume mixer to 100% and i have to alt-tab to change it back every single time or else the volume will stay at 100% when i load my save. Is there a way to stop this? It's extremely annoying because i don't have speakers and have to use a headset.
The sad part is that most of it is spent on the bloom. The game is oversaturated with the thing. Kinda wish there were a patch to disable the bloom, it actually makes some areas look far too artificial and blurry IMO. It'd improve performance, too.
Downloaded from a mix of MEGA and Google Drive, game downloaded and installed without issues. This is a CODEX crack, so be sure to check the little box next to "Copy contents of CODEX folder" on the installer so it copies in the crack after installation is done. Yes, everyone complaining about this game taking you to steam, that's why. All CODEX cracks have the crack inside a folder labelled "CODEX" inside the game's .iso, just copy the contents and replace the relevant files in the game installation folder, or check the checkbox during the installation process. Onto the game itself, seems slightly badly optimized but for the most part runs really well. It appears to use a similar engine to Megadimension Neptunia VII so if you can run that you should be able to run this. I've had to lower the resolution due to FPS issues but the game is more than playable and enjoyable, with no crashes, errors or other issues thus far asides from a minor thing described below.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Two things to note is that, as confirmed before, this DOES contain all available DLC including the extra wallpaper and sketches, these can be found inside the game's installation directory. The minor issue I had is regarding the fact that the DLC is not made immediately available, but rather it is added after you progress past a certain part of the story. The DLC did not unlock for me once I was past this part so I had to do a simple file edit to get it to work: I fixed this by editing the "steam_emu.ini" located in the game's install directory, searching for the [DLC] section and making sure DLCUnlockall was set to 1. Doing this made all the DLC be added at the very start of the game and work as intended from then onwards. All in all a great upload and a pretty fun game if you're a fan of IF/Compile Heart and their humor, Neptunia fans will probably hop onto this game and even those that already played the original Fairy Fencer F should give this a try as it changes a fair bit, even if the original game's story is still the "canon" story for this. More than a new game, this should be seen as a remastered version of Fairy Fencer F, think Persona 3 FES to Persona 3 and Persona 4 Golden to Persona 4. The extra storylines also seem to be "what if" scenarios and do not actually follow the same continuity as the main story. The "canon" story seems to be the Goddess Arc with either Tiara's or Eryn's endings, but you're free to go for the ending you like the best. As long as you don't try to compare or weave the stories together it won't be too bad. Thanks for the upload!
you need to launch the iso in daemon tool, go on "this pc" open the ison, and copy the content of the folder crack in the game directory. i think that can fix your issue
The game takes me to the steam page after I open it, but I had to install it from this strange type of installer. There are no crack files for me to apply, yet it is the only solution for the problem given on the site.
In fact, this is happening with all games like it. Any game which causes me to install it using this strange installer (it's black and usually has some sort of company or name on the top, and after it is done the game needs administrative access to run), like the other game in the series, Atelier Sophie, Nights of Azure, etc.
That is the CODEX installer. The crack is found inside the "CODEX' folder inside the game's .iso file and the installer has the option to "Copy contents of CODEX folder to game install dir" which you can mark before installing it. If you've already installed it then just open the game's .iso and manually copy the contents of that folder to the game's install directory and replace relevant files.
I'd like to know this too. I'll still probably download this sometime tomorrow, but could someone that has downloaded it let us know if it contains the available DLC?
They're mostly what-if scenarios, aren't they? I think the actual story's about the same, you just have multiple endings and paths to go about doing things.
Well give me a week and I'll post a full-length detailed story review somewhere xD If I can make sense of the clusterfuck that is the Neptunia storyline from Rebirth 1 to Megadimension VII I'm confident I'll figure this one out, too.
Really? I thought the continuity and pacing of Rebirth 2 and 3 were really weird and hard to follow. Then again, Rebirth 2 as a whole was rather odd given its many multiple endings and what have you, guess this game might be following in similar footsteps. I tend to enjoy trying to make sense of confusing stories and plotlines so I'm naturally attracted to trying out games like this, and at the very least it seems the original Fairy Fencer F storyline is easy enough to follow.
