Thanks for sharing, i've downloaded it and backed it up on my external HDD. However, i can't test it yet because of lack of disk space. i kinda backed myself in a corner by installing some games from Steam beforehand, which is why i can't easily uninstall them(as reinstalling them would require several hours of downloading again).
After downloading update v1.0.0.21, it says in codex.nfo that it requires Update v20170619 and v1.0.0.19. Both of which are not found on this site nor on IGG's torrent site.
Just wanna share my experience here. I had 10 fps in this game whenever a menu was up (equips, synthesis, meeting chars for the first time, etc.) Roughly 3 hours after calling it quits with this game, my torrent download of a DLC/graphics update finally finished and applying it to the game fixed the menu lag completely. If you're having the same issue, you might want to try downloading the torrent as well: https://pcgamestorrents.com/atelier-sophie-the-alchemist-of-the-mysterious-book-update-v20170413-codex.html (145 MB) Update v20170413 Patch Notes: ·Updated graphic option to unlock 60Hz limit ·Updated speed of 2D rendering ·Fixed issue where keyboard responds in background mode ·Fixed issue where game crashes when windows usernames are specific 2byte characters ·Added missing DLC data
can anyone help me? I can't open the game at all, I tried to run it as administrator and it just comes up with "stopped working" and closing down like the picture below and I have also tried running CODEX and downloading everything and running it from the shortcut icon on my desktop but after I press start, literally nothing comes up! I really want to play this game but I just don't know what to do, can anyone please help me?
While it's appreciated you're linking to these useful (and pretty much necessary) fixes, it'd be best if you linked to the steam community thread instead of directly to the downloads. From the thread: The menu slowdown fix is experimental and can cause severe issues on some systems. What works fine for some people might not work for others, It also breaks the ability to alt-tab out of the game as it results in the game crashing. Missing DLC fix is safe. Original thread: https://steamcommunity.com/app/527270/discussions/0/133256240744042389/ To anyone interested in getting the fixes: Please read through the posts there fore downloading to avoid any nasty side effects.
Thanks for the notice. I'm just worried if I might break a rule like linking through the Steam website so instead of linking directly, I copied the download link ones :p Next time I will :)
If you want assistance it'd be good if you'd provide more information... Do you get any error messages? When you click to run the setup, what happens? Is the process runnning? The game should run perfectly fine, I'm already a couple hours in.
The game's been updated! Big thanks to IGG for uploading the 2/11 update. Just download the update, extract it and replace the relevant files in your game's install directory. This update fixes the abnormally high CPU usage, bringing it from 80-100% down to a more understandable 5-30%.
so i download your torrent from piratebay, so far i can download with ease. But when i install the game, it always give me error when installing "PACK00.pak" file. do you have solution regarding this? my internet kinda sucks, i dont know if i can download from direct download link
i already check that torrent and it is indeed the same torrent from piratebay. i dunno if the file was corrupted or something but it cant install a damn thing
Wouldn't know what to tell you, I downloaded the game through the multiple-part links and it works perfectly fine. It might be that your torrent download got corrupted somehow which is giving the issue, and it is very likely that someone downloaded the torrent from the link I posted and then re-uploaded it to TPB, somehow damaging it in the process. I'm sorry to say that re-downloading might be the only way to solve this issue at this point, preferably re-downloading from either gametorrents or from this page.
After going through 24 hours of painful download speed, i finally finish it xD. Anddd it works, so yeah dont download the one from piratebay guys it's corrupted or just my pc being retarded. And thanks for replying to me man, are you a mod?
A note for those interested in the download: This upload does not contain the latest patch, so CPU usage is abnormally high (70-80% as opposed to the normal 20-30%) past the beginning of the game. I have submitted a request in the GAME REQUEST section for the update, if anyone's interested please head there and upvote it. EDIT: Game's now updated to the latest version!
Using win 10 is your first mistake :D Serious answer though: Check to make sure your game's save folder isn't in a read-only area of your computer. That's %SystemDrive%\Users\Public\Documents\Steam\CODEX\527270 Navigate to the appropriate folder and check its properties to make sure "read-only" is not marked. If it is, unmark it and then hit apply and save. That SHOULD fix the crashing issue, but I haven't run into it myself so I couldn't guarantee it.
Thanks for the advice but it did not work sadly it seems that it is something with the compatibility of windows 10, I have already tried everything to play this game but it does not work I will play only Nights of Azure and start waiting for Berseria ....Thanks
Downloaded from Google Drive, no issues during download, extraction or installation. Overall another great upload. Being a CODEX crack be sure to check the "Copy contents of CODEX folder" in the installer to get the crack moved into the game's install directory automatically. Now the game itself, I'm afraid has more than its fair share of issues people should keep in mind before downloading. This is NOT IGG's fault but rather they're issues present even in the steam version of the game. First off, another user linked this already but I'll put it up here for any new users, if you plan to get this game then be sure to pay this thread a visit: https://steamcommunity.com/app/527270/discussions/0/133256240744042389/ Namely, you want to download the Missing DLC fix and the Menu stutter fix. The game's developers neglected to include the DLC enabling files when they updated the game, so you need to get the DLC fix to have them show in-game (Yes, this download includes ALL DLC but they will not show up in-game without this). The menu stutter fix is more of a precaution, as some people experience intense stuttering or FPS drops while using menus in the game. That fix makes the game crash whenever you alt-tab out of it or whenever the window its on loses focus, but it fixes the stuttering/FPS issue. The game also lacks any form of control customization, it's best played with a gamepad but you really have no way to see what button does what asides from trial and error and they cannot be altered. Playing with a keyboard is especially frustrating as you move with the arrow keys, A is L, B is ; and O seems to do something else I don't quite know what it does asides from resetting the options to default. The good news for some people is that it DOES contain both English and Japanese voices for the characters.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Onto actual stability, with the already mentioned fixes installed it runs pretty well, I haven't played too much since I currently do not have the time but I did put around an hour into it already and the only crash I experienced was when I alt-tabbed out of habit. As long as you do not alt-tab out then it has zero issues. The game also appears to not compatible with certain types of hardware for some reason. If you experience any "Atelier Sophie has stopped working" errors upon launch, odds are your system is not compatible with the game or you might need to mess around with your settings to get it to stop complaining. From what I've gathered, CPUs with more than 4 cores are especially prone to causing issues and setting the game to run with just cores 0 and 1 might solve this kind of problem.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Overall a great upload and a pretty good game from what I've seen and heard. It's a shame that it was released with so many faults that are still present to this day despite the (fairly big) outcry on steam regarding them, but despite that the game's pretty well worth it if you're a fan of JRPGs and the Atelier series. Thanks for the upload!
I'd recommend downloading this CPU usage fix even if your game runs well, and it does work with this version. For some reason this and Nights of Azure will use 90~100% of the CPU without it instead of a normal 30%-ish. https://steamcommunity.com/app/527270/discussions/0/133256240744042389/
JRPG heavily focused on micro management, crafting and farming. And alchemy. It's more fun than it sounds since there's a bit of strategy to it, you have to run a shop successfully in most of these games and turn a certain amount of profit each month or so.
First time to see KOEI TECMO makes games can actually run with low-spec pc, and one more question: Is it just me or the game does not suppport keyboard or something, i can't skip the intro? Anyone here has the same problem?
Edit. The link has been updated. Thank you
