I've had a blast with it! Pretty much fun game, kinda less-complex Homeworld alternative with civilization-management bonus... But, it hit walls when most users changes to Win-7. The game kept asking for downgraded 'Sound' drivers, akin to Win-XP. The GPU of nearly all kinds and models doesn't really matter, though - it's just the 'Sound' drivers... I'm wondering if my ACER Aspire V5-571ZG with 'Win-10 Home' and 'nVidia GTX 660M' is able to handle it, complete with a 2010 'DOLBY Home-Theater' sound mixer... I shall try this!
Result is... a tiny 'PLAYABLE'. It runs perfect for the first 3 SP-Missions, and simply 'CTD' mid-field 4th one for Terrans, and also 'CTD' 15-minutes post 3rd Martian SP-Mission - the problem is as expected, 'Sound' drivers... However, a dedicated team at http://MODDB.com provides some few MODs that worked-around the 'Sound' problem - and confirmed these MODs are 'CD-Key' free. I have these info located in: https://www.gog.com/forum/haegemonia_gold_edition/sound_fixes_for_latest_win_10_versions Add in these MODs, and you should be able to play in no time! However, I can't seem to find any work-around for the 'Russian language' as well as the 'persistent CD-Key'...
