For the people who doesnt know how to crack just open the fake dvd but dont run the auto run and take after opening the folder open win64 if you are 64 bits or open 32 if you are 32 bits and take the application from the folder (detention.exe) and after that copy it and paste it in the game directory and after that replace it and BOOM it will work and stop asking for steam if the game's language is chinese check out my another comment
For everyone who has the game on chinese IM JUST DOING THAT TO HELP THIS AMAZING SITE AS IT HELPED ME After you crack the game and every thing go to detention_data got to 8 translations and open config.json with notepad and after that modify the attribute named (selected) and change it from ch to en and it will work these are the pics for it

SPOILER : FOR WHO STILL DONT UNDERSTAND THE STORY if you played the game but still confused, first the game sets during Taiwan's martial law period which lasted for 38 years (from 1940s to 1980s) and was for the purpose of suppressing communism second: Wei, ms Yin and the counselor were part of an illegal book club that involves reading materials that are banned by the government third, Ray was depressed bcuz of her parents' issue, so she meets the counselor for counselling but ends up have feelings for him, they been tgt but the counselor ditched her after their last session, ray founds out ms Yin and the counselor were in a relationship ( i think) maybe its jealousy, Ray used Wei (who knows nothing) to get the list of the book club members and gave it to the government, the members including Wei were arrested and the counselor, (i think) been the head of the club was sentenced to death, but ms Yin escaped overseas. the good ending is older wei visting his school to relive his memories... as for Ray, she's dead, the game foreshadowed it with the ''heibai wuchang'' (black and white messengers of dead) and the answers she recieved from the city god in the temple (you will understand if you played the game) the bad ending is probably only showing ray dying of guilt, regret, despair ;-; for more info u can see the comment at the video below https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-UB7H07lEY
