Unfortunately, there is no way to change customization option with non-legit copies. Likely an online server requirement built into the game. Just thought I'd leave this here.
Can anyone complete the "Where and When?" mission? The Wanderer doesn't appear when completing the mission with the probes, on the last probe as it should. Did it in two new games already! Second game have a save right before the last probe...
I downloaded the game, installed it and it just opens astroneer on steam and wants me to buy it. Pls tell me how to fix that. Moving it to game folder doesn't work because i steel need to buy it.

i manage to get in game now, just had to replace the steam_api64.dll with the devlah's one, the overlay works aswell, but i don't see anyone in the coop tab, or any lobbies in the overlay, hopefully that's just because i grabbed the latest version off skidrow.

i think last update at now 26/01/2021 is Astroneer holiday version 1.17.89 , so you just download the base game , dont need download the old version update

i figured it out, does anyone know if there is a way to give yourself achievements? i ended up using this steam-fix thing to get co-op so it doesent show the SSE overlay
If coop multiplayer is not working for you I wanted to send you a link but IGG games removed my comment because it was from another Site like http://IGG-games.com, so search Astroneer steam fix and on the first site you can find online fix on the bottom of that page, extract 2 folders to astroneer main folder and run steam. what file do i need to open? when i open the Astro.exe nothing opens and when i open the Astro-Win64-Shipping.exe (Located at the Astro/Binaries/Win64) Nothing opens too.
Is there a way to alter the setting outside of opening the game? cause the game doesn't want to get past the "creating solar system" load screen and I think it's because all the settings have defaulted to the highest and my laptop is pretty potato Edit Nevermind I deleted the files in movies as shown by other comments further down and the game allowed me to progress far enough to reach options.
Hey @Devlah:disqus ,so I have this problem with multiplayer ,basically it isn't really working for me. Both me and my friend followed the tutorial precisely but all we get when we use the steam emu overlay in game is some random peoples' names ,playing other versions of the game possibly ,and we can neither join them nor see each others names and hence we can't join each other. We have tried both with and without an onlinekey ,unfortunately to no avail. We also made sure our versions of the game are identical. All in all ,I'm asking if you could perhaps update the tutorial or propose a possible fix. Thanks in advance and cheers!
i'm no expert so i'm not sure what would be the cause of you not seeing your friend's name on the players list, but me and my friend played perfectly with no problems, what i did is i sent him a copy of my SmartSteamEmu.ini and all he did was give himself a username. maybe something went wrong with the installation of the game or the SSE. i just put the entire game folder after everything has been applied in my google drive, and my friend downloaded it, so you can try doing that. also take note if you do use google drive, when you download the entire thing from google drive, it will download a .pak file seperately from the rest of the game (2 files are downloaded) the file is called Astro-WindowsNoEditor.pak, what you do it put it in the game files in ASTRONEER Automation\Astro\Content\Paks.

To enable multiplayer, i cant replace the cracked version of steam_api64.dll for the legit one. It says the drive is already full. I'm not allow to delete any files either. I followed all the steps but it doesnt work for me. Anyone knows what might be wrong?
Seems like you don't have enough space on your computer. Check your space on your C: drive. You might need to uninstall a few things before you can download any more files.
Well, I had a lot of "invalid sessions" messages, but not for everyone in the list that I had. I guess maybe there's some technical mismatch between the software that you and your pals are using and their computers. I would start with checking the firewall settings for outgoing and incoming connections.
You haven't cracked the game. In folder where installer is there is another folder named CODEX. You must copy all contest of the follder to game folder (Where Astro.exe is).
I tried the featured comment tutorial and all I see are game sessions name "CHANGEME" - Joinable but when I click on them, they all said online session is invalid, cannot join. Is it normal or what can I do to fix this?
If it says joinable, but the session is invalid, then that suggests they are playing a different version of the game from you. It's nearly impossible to tell if they're running an older or newer version without trial and error.

Hey, do you have a way to make multiplayer work with the latest updates ? whenever i launch smartsteamloader-x64.exe it doesn't launch anything, the game only appears in the task manager with less than 1mb of memory and barely any cpu usage.
If you are using SSE, then anyone else also using SSE will show up in the multiplayer tab of the game. However, they will only show up as "Joinable" if they are playing the SAME game as you. same version, and are not using an OnlineKey.
Well i think playing online now is kinda impossible because we get full file without any setups and it's aleready cracked and we don't get original steam dll file
You can use SSE with a Legit copy of the game. The only problem is that you have to make sure that you are both using the same version. Steam updates faster than IGG, so you would want to disable auto-updates for Astroneer in your steam client to ensure that doesn't happen. In order to accomplish multiplayer between yourself (Legit) and your friend (cracked), you can essentially use the same instructions posted above, just minus the cracking part.

In the screenshot, your game directory is saying v1.7.55. You sure you pointed to the right directory or downloaded the main game? I had the same problem, but I just wasn't installing the updates in order. The CODEX description also explains: "Installing of this Update to the selected directory is not possible, this Update is originally designed for ASTRONEER.Lunar-CODEX"

in your game folder there is a build.version file, open it with notepad and see what your game version is at, i just tested the game and all updates are working fine make sure you also have the correct directory set for the update
delete whole astroneer and reinstall it with and update than with the clean version ihad same problem and this is the solution keep youre save files some where else if you do this
