There is a problem with this game, if it happens to you here is how i solved:
The problem was that the game just crashes when i try to start, searching info there is a log txt file that shows that "Csteamworks.dll" is missing but it is on the folder named plugins.
It's a previous version, here on igg you have the last one with the gauntlet something update, that is the one before it i think, however, i downloaded it, installed it and then searched in the archives, looks like the crack archives like steam api and so are missing in the igg version, so i just copy the contents of the "plugins" folder, paste them on the igg version, uninstalled the other version and done, the igg version is now cracked.
If you're using Windows 8/10, ISO mounting is supported natively and should be trivial. On Windows 7 and below you'll need a tool for mounting ISOs, which is as simple to find as searching for "iso mount windows 7" on google. e.g. wincdemu should work.
Since the last Version, we have a big problem. we can't upgrade the character's Skills. so we can't progress in the story. please can you fix that bug so we can play the game ? thanks
You might find it funny but, the reality is just that little implemented feature probably worked for quite a number of people, and probably forced some into buying.
Or if it redirects you to steam just go to firewall and inbound and outbound rules and create a new rule its easy and steam wont turn on.u can do that for every game that gas a page it opens from
Is there steam api file in the folder or crack folder? if not, change the steam folder name from "steam" to anything like "steam2" i hope it work for you

*Found a fix to the 'spending skill point' problem. You just have to change your username which is located in the steam_emu file, located in the game's main directory. This let's you spend skill points to your heart's content. Don't know why, though...
It's always best to request daily (but not more than once per 24 hours) until your post receives a response from "http://IGG-Games.com (Administrator)". If he didn't respond, your request hasn't been seen or processed, so repeating it is a good idea. He scans the comments roughly every third day (+/- a day) and usually only goes back through about 24 hours worth of posts.
How does one use the [requests section] ? Don't really see any way to request and the request "button" at the bottom of the page just redirect to an empty page for me ._.

I don't know if this will work for everyone, and DON'T try it if you feel you are at risk, but I found a fix to the 'no saving progress' thing. I turned my antivirus off and BAM, it starts saving my level and campaign progression. Just be careful if you want to play multiplayer, because yes, multiplayer does work. Although, the community's mostly dead now XD.
I got the game, and it opens, and runs and everything. but no one is joining any of my games. It might be because its from here, or because its broken, or Im just forever alone, and Because I'm in germany. I dont know. but this game gets really hard to beat with only one person
I used to play with people from malasya korea japan indonesia and russia without problems or lag with only 3 mb of internet.Maybe it's just a new version that nobody has, i dont know. And by the way, I play alone in eclipse mode and i never die. By the way 2 the version with which I play with these people, was the most famous, The codex version. If you wanna play with your friends, you need to be connected to the internet. But if you want to play offline, then your pc should be connected to the main server, and so does your friend's pc
i tried to reset my skills so i get refund and build some other fighting style to ruby and weiss and suddenly it stuck to 10or 12 points but 0 skills and the worst part i cant activate any skill i cant buy them at least back please help
If you wanna play multiplayer, but offline, your computer must be connected to the server (same as your friend). Commonly, you can play with your friends and it requires internet connection.
Yes, unless there are some players who has this version of this game and they were online, but the problem is that most of the players are now using the latest version of this game

All locked skill icon. Need to be fill up. Dont worry it will save your game. For example. [Kill 1000 enemies using range weapon as ruby to unlock this ability]. So you just play, Achievement will save. not the game ^_^
No? But you could probably transfer the save file over to the legit version of that game if that's what you're asking. Assuming the save is the same as Steam. The save file isn't even encrypted either so you can easily cheat, max level, skills, prestige, or whatever if you wanted to using a text editor. Savefile depends on scene group, but it's usually in %appdata%. Search for "RWBY.SteamCloud.Profile.json" on your computer.

Go into SmartSteamEmu.ini, which is found where you downloaded the game, alongside the Launcher.exe, etc. Open it with Notepad or something similar. Scroll down until you find a line called "PersonaName = igggames." Replace igggames with whatever you want it to be. It works fine.
found the cause for the skill problem, just delete the SSEOverlay plugins from the plugins folder. idk if thats the real problem, but that fixed it for me.

It do have DLC, From what i saw on Steam. It says, Volume 1 - 3. As far as i know. But most important, i want to play this game OFFLINE MODE AND HAVE LAN PLAY !
It does have the JNPR dlc. Volume 1-3 is just the 3D animated show which is not included here. You can play this online. The devs don't seem to care. It's been that way since first release, and they know we—the pirates—can play online too.
I kinda feel bad for RT, but at the same time props to them for accepting that pirates are gonna be a thing and choosing to leave them be. They also let reactors react to their stuff, which is cool.
No, i mean. If you want to play LAN without Internet connection It, maybe Impossible. I dont know, if you can use Like Hamachi or Tunggle. By either way. Connect to a internet and Go Multiplayer. That how you play lan.

Just paste it on "rwby-ge_Data" folder or copy the content to "Plugins" folder inside "rwby-ge_Data".
Now you don't have to download the same game from 2 different places like me xD

They check whether the player is named "IGGGAMES" or "CODEX" and if so, do nothing except reject buying skills.
