I bought this game quite a while ago in Steam Early Access, it was "OK", played for like 20 hours and it was bug free but had some glaring issues. (balance shit, and decisions on first skills could pretty much kill you so you HAD to spec and choose a specific class to survive)
I won't list to many of those issues because it's been years so maybe they've been fixed.
I've noticed many a frequent update, so I'm assuming a huge updaet just dropped for IGG to re-up a game that's been out for quite a while now.
A quick look at Steam reviews shows that they changed from Mixed to Mostly Negative for recent reviews. You should really read all the negative comments there. Seemingly the devs took the game out of EA and changed version number from 0,5something to 1.0 without even releasing a patch! Also lots of content was removed a while ago with promises of rework but were never put back into the game. This includes two extra planets and their creatures, making the game feel small and more like a demo now. The videos still show gameplay features that were removed.
Feels like the old builds should be reuploaded as they contained more content.
As of 1-31-23 the game is now full release and abandoned. There's a post stating they will no longer work on the game except to keep it functional while they take a short break and get ready for their next game.
Not sure of content etc, but man it had some serious balance issues which is why I stopped playing. You HAD to spec a certain way or there was just no surviving. Multiple classes but only one was actually viable was upsetting.
As they said though, it was their first game and they were a 4 man team working on 100k budget, that's no small feat if a person was being honest with themselves. I wish I hadn't of bought it now that I know it's abandoned.
the dev who release this half-baked game is a greedy dumbass who made a lot of promises that they never keep worse is the "full release" was EVEN WORSE than what it was before.

Even while offline you ping the official servers while accessing containers/crafting stations etc. it is an anti piracy method. To stop this, go to your network adapters BEFORE starting the game and disable your network card (works better than the stock windows firewall) then play the game, enable it after you are done playing. Doing this will let you play outdated versions, which is handy since they are developing this game again (new devs).

I have found the troublesome file, it is sharedassets64.assets.resS, all other files pass tests run by PeaZip, this file fails all tests, it is 742.9mb in size but packed at 157.6mb, time stamp is 2017-09-09 13:04:45, CRC is 442DE683
hmmm possibly this version is online only but I have 1.162 (not sure if its from here or not) and it plays just fine with or without internet and 1.162 is way out dated.
Try these Options Here: 1.Option- Fully Stop The Game(Process via Task Manager) and than open it should solve your problem if its the glitch or if the game frezzed. 2.Option- Reinstall the game( First unistall it then install it back) and after the installation proccess is done open it. 3.Option- ShutDown your pc and than wait for 5-10 minutes and then start it again and then open the game because sometimes the pc gets a bit cranky if you now what i mean by that so you have to calm it down and start it up for me it worked for serveral games i downloaded from this page. Um Stefan actualy your wrong you can play online with this one :) through a wierd steam workaround your steam name will come up as playing "STARWAR" and people can join you via inviting em :)
You gotta download steam. If you already have steam, go to your game library, look for the option 'Add a non-steam game to library'. Browse and select the osiris new dawn exe file. Start it from steam and it should work. If you still didn't understand, i'll elaborate further.
I got it to work outside Steam, by using the Steam Emu loader.. copy those from Planet Nomads, and change the target in SmartSteamEmu.ini Target = OsirisNewDawn.exe #StartIn = C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Age of Empires II HD #CommandLine = -steam And game is running without Steam

Usually means the game's textures didn't load. If it doesn't work after a restart, it could be due to a number of things - but usually is because of gfx card drivers or underpowered gfx card.
Even though you have an i3, you should be okay. Have you updated your Nvidia gfx drivers? To be honest, looking at the forums, there are a few people who have this and it MAY be fixed in a content update. The devs haven't stated it's due to their product or not though. You do have Steam started when you launch the game, right?

When you try to start a private world there is no option to make a world, we are forced to play on 3DMgame world which is maxed out structure and the ping is too high, anyone know how to make ur own private game ?

you have to think about those who dont have the game at all - they can't play on the patch only. Besides it is easier to upload the whole game instead of searching for patch files in smaller games.

By the way does anybody have the same issue with the Online multiplayer servers? When im playing alone everything works fine, fluently no lags no freezes no stuttering nothing but as soon as someone joins the server and there are 2 people in total including me online on the server the game is totally unplayable. Lags, freezes and stuttering are horrible and you are not even able to move not to even mention about aiming with your gun or running, jumping. Does anybody have the similar issues?

Saves are in the OsirisNewDawnSave folder yet they are being saved in the strange way and the game itself has the problem with saving. Sometimes saves are being lost

YOUR SAVE go in the Osiris Folder -> OsirisNewDawn_Data -> OsirisNewDawnSave -> and copy this folder u see and paste it into the new folder u downloaded.
We updated it to v0.938 (Lastest version at this time), BTW, we added offline crack too. If you dont want to play online (or cant play if game got update), you can use offline crack.
--Not sure if it matters, but change the number in the Steam_EMU.ini file from CODEX to yours. Your Steam Sir Name, I suppose. If you already have a game saved, you'll have to edit that name to match the paths.
-- I've noticed a few bugs with the Colony system. Not sure what else.. just yet. That said, it'll stay in the bug fix phase for a little while. update: this is old comment, version is updated now. This is version 0.915, the newest version is 0.938 so a lot of features are not in this version, you can't play multiplayer with this version, and this build is very buggy. BTW, you can play singleplayer and you have to start steam before playing it.
I have problems with this game's resolution it doesn't support my resolution that's a first. I can't see any missions I dont know what to do cuz it just doesn't tells you anything. When I go to some place run like 5 kilometers i see nothing but a damn empty desert then when i restart the game in hope to be in the base again or whatever that bullshit was Im in the same shithole in which i was when i turned off the game. This game literaly make no sense. The worse thing is that i cant even adjust resolution properly wtf is wrong with those games nowadays...
--Heh, this might not be the game for you. There's an arrow in the upper left that shows you which way togo. You kan switch the way point indicator to beacons or your body by using the the Tracking-Radar. As for the Resolution, hit preview after you change your setting for them to take effect.

Pointless to play, lots of item (like gas tanks) not yet implemented in the game(cant craft) some resources not exist in the game , some buildings cant built some furniture also not working... and painful to craft anything example : to craft rubber u need ton of hydrogen , but u can capture hydrogen only with tiny barells , 3 barels give u 2 rubber and the most of buildings need 10 rubber (if u reach your carry cap u insanly slowing down) btw now the game just a walking, mining, breathing simulator after few hour of grinding u cant "evolve" (because the not implemented items). And stuck in the lower part of tech tree. This mean EARLY EARLY EARLY EARLY DEVELOPMENT STAGE ;) it is uses same engine(Unity 5?) like the subnautica, if your computer can run well that game this game also run smooth.....

This is version 0.915, the newest version is 0.938 so a lot of features are not in this version, you can't play multiplayer with this version, and this build is very buggy.
BTW, you can play singleplayer and you have to start steam before playing it.

it is uses same engine(Unity 5?) like the subnautica, if your computer can run well that game this game also run smooth.....
