game crashed. somewhere at start game screen just went black. there is still some sound and I can go to menu but I cant get pass that same spot. can someone help me?

The game has 8.5 gigabytes worth of data just from the translation files. If you wanna save some space delete the translation files in the hl2 and episodic folders, literally does nothing except remove the option to change language in options lol
Can confirm. Comparing the size of the folder with the additional languages removed matches the folder size of my legitimate English-only Steam version.
Maybe you need to run it as administrator. Cracked steam games have the problem that when not run as administrator they can't make any changes to disk, including saving
It's over 10gb only because this has 18 languages lol. You can remove the other languages for less disk consumption, but be aware that you won't be able to change the languages if you do.
To people who download this game, please don't forget PLAZA folder in iso. Copy hl_launcher.exe to directory to play hl episode one and content of 'bin' to 'bin' in directory to change language..
all three parts are the same files, just with different names... the .zip files all have the same folder, with the same files... just a readme file and a corrupted disc file
All three files must be downloaded, that why it's name is 'part', to make a 'whole' file from combined 'part'.. Try to extract with Winrar.. If you don't know how to extract files, try google..I've downloaded and testing this game. It's works.. Try download again if your file corrupted.

Hey, yes i actually did somehow. After like 2 days i jokingly opened Half-Life 2 Episode One just to get an error and i could shut down my PC, but somehow it actually started and showed me the Menu Screen. I clicked New Game, game crashed so i reloaded it, new Game, and it worked. But when i tried to save.. I just couldnt. It said "saved..." but it never ended up saving. I force-saved game but it never appears. When you start Chapter 2 where you slide down the car, you get a black screen. Nothing helps, you can only close Game, restart it, and play the game until Chapter 2 and it glitches out. Im later attempting to find a fix for the black screen since im quite excited to play the rest 3 parts. Also, this has nothing to do with fixing but you should get "Source Pause Tool" from Source Runs Wiki. Its like BunnyMod Pro, you can Autojump and prop fly, you can be Desinc and prop fly over any fence or gate saving time. Have a nice day, reply anytime you want.
You download part 2 and copy "link" or a direction where its posted, than you place it there, and click ok, or as simple as possible choose where you putted part 2 and click ok.

it is "part" because it is only part of the whole folder. slice a cake into four parts and build a whole cake with those parts. without all the parts you won't get whole. same with parts here. if something is missing from it, you won't get whole game

nothingtosee no,I did't try downloading again , fist time I came here are have 11part ,and than the games are working are fine,so I will try download the game again.
Everyone forgets that most cracked games need administrator privileges to save. it's like with building a house. you can't build it without permission (at least in my country)
I found it seems to work when you set the shortcut to run as administrator. You can do that by right clicking it picking properties then got to compatibility. From there you can check the box that says run this program as administrator.
So i will start the game but after a minute nothing happens. I launch it again but then it gives me a message saying only one instance of this game can be running. So i end the task in task manager like people say to do but the same thing happens. I launch the game and after a minute or so nothing happens and then i launch it again and it gives me the same message. Any advice on what i should do. I have also tried reinstalling it but that dosent work ether.
