For anyone who wants to play Minerva DLC: It is already installed in game. To unlock Minerva’s Den DLC: 1. open “steam_emu.ini” (in …\Build\Final) 2. change the 0 in the line DLCUnlockall by 1 (DLCUnlockall=1)
For those whos game crashes during big fights. I think I found a solution. For starters don't use custom mouse buttons like 4 and 5. Second part is to save on your autosave file. Just ger rid of autosaves. Also mine game is without updates and freshly reinstalled. Somehow I made trough The Siren Alley by doing those steps. Good luck.
Okay guys ive never had to explain something like this before so i might not be much help. There is a folder called build. its in the Codex folder you find in the first download. Copy that and use it to replace the folder called build in the games download. like when I used the setup.exe I had it download in program files (x86). in there is a bioshock folder. inside that bioshock folder will be your old build folder that needs to be replaced.
ive check on my direct x diagnostic tool to see if i have an older version of directx but it says on the information that i have direct x 11 installed any good Samaritan there who can help me?
OK, i found a solution! for those people who encounter the same problem as i have, all you have to do is download the platform update for windows 7, its free to download for everyone and its just 11.3mb and a 5.6mb, install them on your computer and restart, and your good to go. mine was fix because of this post i saw on steam, gotta go playing now.

tried extracting with rar and compatibility mode, did not work
help...
