So how does installation actually work for this game? Whenever I try setting it up normally, it keeps asking for a CD key which is nowhere to be found in the folder. So I tried the crack file, which is named prey.exe. The only other place I found a file with that name is under Setup\Data, so I tried replacing that file and launching the .exe. It went full screen at first and looked like it was going to launch the game, but then I got a blue screen error saying "couldn't find game dynamic library." Nothing works. And unfortunately, the crack FAQ here isn't helpful.
Works just fine, seems to already be pre-cracked too which is nice. Setting the resolution can be tricky though. There are two different options, one for the aspect ratio and a separate option to switch between 4:3 and 16:9. Switching to 16:9 and then selecting my screen resolution made the game 640x480, but selecting 1600x900 worked fine. Not really a major issue, just something weird to take note of.
