I think just about every kid did. Of course back then we didn't know what owning such a business would imply

That's true, as I alluded to, it was obvious why as a kid I wanted to own a toy store. When I grew up I no longer wanted to especially once I became a manager at Kmart. This was decades ago mind you. Now that I'm a LOT older, I'd like to own a toy store again, but for retro stuff. Stuff I like mainly, and you know, again for obvious reasons, because it's stuff I like.

Someone tell me the "LORE" behind this genre. I'm seeing dozens of them on the upcoming games section all out of nowhere, similar to all the "Backrooms" spam. What is the "first" game of these that came out that made it so clone-heavy?

i think its like this, they ask AI whats good popular something new, ai check found in revievs that in some games people like physic and putting things on place and create like always answer saying this is popular, thats how it works now ai decide what games are popular and studios using ai just make games like chinese factory.

That is probably the answer I am after, going by the timeline and large amount of reviews on that one. I'll give it a try, thanks! I've been curious about this genre but I wanted to know which was the decisive best and/or start to the craze.
