@For newbie: Don't forget crack before launching the game (otherwise you will get the "no license" error). By doing one of the following:
Method 1: before installing the game, check the following box:
Method 2: or after installing the game, open the iso file, copy everything in the "RUNE" folder, then paste them to where you installed the game, enjoy ;) (see tutorial image here if you still dont know: https://igg-games.com/how-885614657-to-install-game-and-update.html)
I had a crash after pressing continue. What helped me: Open the game by \Mortal Shell II\MortalShell2\Binaries\Win64\MortalShell2-Win64-Shipping.exe. Close the game and start this file again (this triggered shader compilation from the beginning). After that, press load game and select your saved slot. Enjoy
IT work ! Thanks a bunch brother/sister of the seas ! I still think the game gonna be unstable until proper release (20th) and maybe even until a few patch after, but ay' at least that's a temporary solution until more stable version update :)
Cheers !
Edit: That beeing said, if your crash happen to be the moment a cinematic is supposed to trigger, there is a chance your save file will load after said cinematic So yeah it's a workaround but I think I'm gonna wait the proper patched release for this one
Yeah that's exactly what happened to me. I got the first egg thing, a cinematic was supposed to trigger but the game crashed, when I loaded again I was in a checkpoint beyond that cinematic
yeah and if it gonna happen again and again , nah Better wait for a more stable version, especially if you need to restart the game from the start , than having to do this once you're 30% in.
This didn't help me. What helps me is to select New Game, start a new character, hold R to skip both cinematics and as soon as the character rises I go back to main menu and then load my regular save. Hopefully this helps others too.
Damn, y'all! AC Blackflag Reysnced, Marvel Tokon, The Sinking City 2, and now this? Well, my schedule for the next couple of weeks is planned. Thanks, IGG!
hey i also wanted to ask why the patches here need the total size of the whole game to be free? i cant afford another ssd with the prices skyrocketing, but other patchers just need the size of the patch available, that would be great if these could use that method
The game is decently optimized, running at a kinda stable 28-30 FPS, and is playable with minimum graphics settings and 720p on my GTX 1650 Super. But personally for me the game is ass and I didn't like it. I have nothing to say other than that it bored me from the first second and I quit after 2 hours

Game crash for me at the first "Beacon Cleanse" basically still in tutorial. There is apparently a hotfix for crashes already on Steam, don't know if it would solve the issue.
No crashes for me on that spot, interesting. I did have a crash later on though which kinda messed up my progress, not sure if it cause me to miss some dialogue or something
Before you play I recommend heading over to Nexus Mods and grabbing a mod to disable DOF, it's the only thing you can't disable via options and makes the game looks so much better when it's off
This is the full game I assume? I also assume this is the Devout Edition since that gives you early access to play the full game. Been watching some videos and played the beta myself, I hope they fixed the enemy attack tracking. From the videos I've seen it's SO EASY to get absolutely BROKEN in this one, some shells are just, god. And some of the long range weapons? Frigging MACHINEGUNS! And a lute that you can not only attack with but also just play
hey, so there is a "how to install" text file in the download. have you found the link to download the patch at least? its the link directly above the System Requirements section. then you just extract the files somewhere, and inside the update folder, run the patch program. point to where your current game is installed by clicking browse, then hit start. thats all

Put down the game until fixes

EDIT: ok maybe 10 min after all, but it seemed stuck since it was at 100% lol, in case anyone else gets worried and sees this

Demo was decent. A little choppy though.
