Why? Why should I do YOUR work for you? As I've explained, I've played both series, and there's little difference between them, other than the fact that Torchlight is cartoony and more humorous.
how did you find it humorous? Torchlight is not a clone or a RIPOFF from diablo, they might have the same hud of the hp and mp bars but these two games are different. Runic games even abandoned (or not) the torchlight series because they don't want Blizzard to think of THEM as enemies because of their games. I gotta admit, It is a little bit cartoony but still i don't think torchlight is a clone.
I too played both games' series in their times, Also played Runic Games' Fate and I can tell that Torchlight 1 and 2 are both Diablo clones. Why? Because they follow Diablo's gameplay style and mechanics, they only took the idea of a Diablo game made with today or future's tech and this is why they both have their differences. They even had one of the composers of the Diablo series work in these games. Diablo was the Pioneer of this type of games.
