Currently, and for many years now, playing the games on release is a total rip-off. I prefer to wait until the games have is final update, So I have no problem waiting for Voices to crack it when the game is complete.

Right now is not the best time for CD to be cracked , its a great game and all that but the game can become a mess to play . and i ain't talking about the story . graphical bugs make the game feel crazy broken at times . i know there are people who fight tooth and nail to defend CD but sadly the game has a crazy pixel smearing/transition + pop in issue that needs fixing . fixes posted online are placebo . so its well worth waiting for updates . some people arent bothered by this but if you got good eyesight irl this is crazy distracting

Yeah? The only thing this disables is driver signature enforcement. Drivers can't automatically install themselves onto your computer without any user input so
It also enables virtualization if you don't have it enabled by default(most modern PCs do) and in case you have Windows Hello and sign in with password enabled it disables that too but none of that leaves your PC vulnerable. VBS.cmd literally tells you what it changes when you run it

I do miss the ability to take enemy weapons and use them against them. Hidden blade combat was never something I did much in the original game so I don't miss it but I do understand how some people might. Also when exactly do they "BEG" you to install AC Shadows? Because I've played over 20 hours at this point and not a single time have the begged me to install anything. Yeah they tell me about the helix store but nothing more than any of the other games do, completely ignorable

What did you expect? They added annoying characters, made unnecessary changes like censorship to already tame outfits, etc. They put their "modern" spin on it.

If you're talking about the changes made to Anne Bonny's clothes, it's BARELY noticeable, it's like two inches or so removed from her top, it's not an issue whatsoever. No shit they modernized it, that's the point of a remake
If it was barely noticeable, then why bother to do it in the first place? Them feeling the need to do that makes me wonder what else they did that didn't need it.
This is more a remaster than a remake as it essentially the same game.
Even if you modernize things, that doesn't mean you have to add "meta" things to it to make it more "relatable."
It's a remake by virtue of being rebuilt from the ground up, they used none of the original game's code when making this one(Probably lost it as it usually happens)
Ok, dont know what I did, but after 10 restarts, and trying to click stuff in the troubleshooter, I clicked again on the normal BlackFlag shortcut and it worked...
Those of you who are a bit apprehensive about using these Hypervisor work arounds, I feel ya. I won't try and talk anyone into or out of anything. I will only say what made me comfortable using them and it's super simple. I am offline when I install and play any of these games and when I am done, I ensure all security features are back on as well as run some scans, just to be sure these things aren't infected with some AI thought up 0days, lol. Just look at GPM 5.2...GLM, not P, wth lol.
I am using hypervisor from when he first appear, so its like 3-4 months right? After playing Hypervisor games, i am not even returning security features back on after gaming, not even going offline and guess what, NOTHING HAPPENED TO MY PC, lol.
your comment is a proof devs nowadays aren't doing good job in optimizing file sizes. its not small lol. about 2.5x the size than the original. For a remaster, I honestly expected it to be around only 1.5-2x more but its still understandable due to the major graphic overhaul. the game does not introduce new stories and it's not like the maps got expansion in any way.
I mean you're right partly...that devs have become lazy about optimizing.... but the original came out 13 years ago. And visuals are night and day. Texture packs...and level detail take more space than they did back then. Was the original 4K...?
No the original was not 4K and that's exactly why I expected this to be over 100GB, this is Ubisoft we're talking about they aren't known for being good at optimizing file sizes, plus, like you said, graphic and gameplay enhancements of this level aren't small

Make sure you're launching ACBlackFlag and not ACBlackFlag_Plus, make sure you're launching it as admin and make sure your AV didn't quarantine or delete Simplesvm.sys
The Simplesvm.sys is still in the "driver_amd" folder, i launch the game as admin and with the ACBlackFlag and not the ACBlackFlag_Plus and nothing is in quarantine
hi i have the same problem i fix it by going to driver_amd file (bcs i have amd cpu) and right click on SimpleSvm.sys Properties and uncheck Read-only after that i start the game as admin and it work keep in mind that i do the VBS.cmd thing first

your windows defender likely deleted something in the game files try backing up your save files re extract everything and click replace all existing files while your windows defender protection is turned off
Played the game for hours went just fine until during the main mission where i had to tail a gunboat the game completely breaks and i cant go into the cemetery or continue at all dont know if anyone else has experienced this or knows a fix lmk
Maybe it's just me, but the ships feel smaller for some reason. Like they're way more cramped. I keep bumping into crewmates when, in the original I would need to almost purposefully bump into them. Also, during boardings, my crewmates constantly block my path making it so I get hit by enemies. It feels like a mess. The camera is almost up Edwards ass with how close it is. Might as well have made the game 1st person.
I mean, it's more like the ally npc block my path in the sense that when attacking, I have to go around them to attack the enemy instead of phasing my attacks through my own dudes like they're ghosts or something.

First of all, this version of the hypervisor doesn't require disabling driver signature enforcement, it works differently. On your desktop, lower right corner, does you see text that says you're on test mode? If not run vbs again. Also don't run the .exe that has plus in the name, use the other one

This one doesn't, this one works differently, at least for me it does, you sure you're running the vbs that comes with this game and not one that comes with a different game? because this one works differently than the others. If you're talking about the red text on this page, that's the generic text they copy paste on every game that uses the HV bypass but this one works differently
yes i downloaded this one and used this VBS. i have to disable driver signature for it to work. it says restart, then i am at the blue screen and when i dont use 7 for disabling it, i cant start the game
so even the new verison (1.8) of the VBS needs disabling the driver signature thing. so the only thing that makes sense is that you have it disabled by default

This HV works a little differently, it doesn't require you to disable driver signature enforcement(AKA the blue screen part), instead when you reboot it puts your PC into test signature mode(basically the same thing, you should have a little indication of that on the bottom right corner of your desktop). Make sure you're running ACBlackFlag.exe and not ACBlackFlag_Plus.exe and that you're running it as admin
I had the same problem. Check the properties of the hyperkd.sys and SimpleSvm.sys files in the driver_intel/amd folder to ensure the "Read-only" option isn't selected - that was the issue in my case, and everything worked after changing it.
