Thanks for another one, man. That fuckin MegaUp though, almost got me with that fake download with the matching title again. My computer took a beating from the last one of those I got hit with.
I have not downloaded the game yet but had a few questions about the game. I have gotten this game from many places and they all have bugs, lots! I have the game on xbox. One thing i was wondering is what is up with the assassins attacking so soon in the game? Also i went to assassin leader and killed him but he keeps reviving, how to kill him? Also is there a youtube lets play that doesnt have a noob or annoying person doing full game vid? I will try to dl game soon but megaup is too slow and google drive links never work for me! Night Blades are the best!
i know this was months ago but the dark brotherhood assassin attacks you whenever you level up if you have the Tribunal expansion enabled. this is intended, and the only way to stop it is to mod the game or disable the expansion until you're ready.
Is it possible to run this game with kinda like high spes system? Cuz it's an old game right? My one is Intel i5 2.5 GHz, 4GB RAM, 1TB ROM, GPU Geforce GTX 1050 4GB memory/Intel Graphic HD [forgot the version] 2GB memory.
really i completed the 1st dungeon then i got to the overworld its just grass and trees every where infinate grass walked for about half hour and got nowhere exsept lost
When I try to uninstall it says Runtime Error (at 1:0): Cannot Import dll:D:\DOWNLOAD\123123123\TheElderScr3llMoMorrowindGOTYGOG GameuxInstallHelper.dll.
i cant get my game to save, the save file is missing to i tried to create my own using the same names as i wasnt given and i still cant seem to find my old files or save any new ones. I can reload my game as long as i dont exit TES 3 all together.
In my opinion WAAAAY too much was changed in skyrim. morrowind had a better leveling and perks, hand to hand unarmoured and a few more skills that shouldnt have been removed are gone now
No, the leveling system in skyrim is a lot better and more immersive in terms of roleplaying.... It's just: You want this skill to level 100? No problem! Just use it! And there are no differences between one or another
its like everyone forgot the level of choice you had in morrowind. you could kill anyone and everyone on a whim if you wanted granted if your powerful enough. you could say fuck it to the main story and kill a god and take the gauntlet and through sheer strength and a help of a dwarf overpower the divine curse and then kill the puppet god. you didn't have a arrow pointing you on where to go or limitation to where you may go, hell you could fly through the sky at warp speed with the boots of blinding speed and with a self spell absorbent to remove blindness . voices lines have limited the use of big dialog for side characters as it cost money and time for the actors. remember the old days when each character had their own personality, morrowind still has a bit of that at the very least. goto fallout 4 where all you get are simple four choices and the pretend version of freedom you would get from morrowind. you cant even kill some npcs in fallout 4 and defiently in skyrim, ruining a genocide run
yeah, this comment thread is finished. sorry, @lambda471:disqus but it seems some people simply can't be civil or just refuse to be. to those who think i hate morrowind due to my previous comment: you're calling me stupid? o_O are you serious? just because i say a game won't run well (or at all) on pc doesn't mean i hate the game. if i hated the game i'd say it sucks or something to that effect but...i didn't. so don't go jumping to conclusions. doing so only makes YOU look like the idiot. edit: yep, that's the internet for you. you make one little mistake or say the wrong thing even once and everyone's on your case for it.
dude... wtf? that was 6 months ago. there is absolutely no reason for your necro comment. go necro a comment asking a question by adding a relevant response or something. this type of comment doesn't need to be revived after half a year.
really? dude...time and place...know when to simply leave something alone. things like this don't make me cry, they PISS ME OFF! and if you have time to show sympathy or pity then stop wasting it on me and do so for someone who actually needs such things. ಠ_ಠ first i get attacked for making a mistake and now this... there really are no words for how much i hate this world. none.
Oh you are an intellectual then? no i read almost everything you said and this is why i said you are an " stupid" cuz all you say is bullshit created random from your brain :|
I think you are somewhat stupid if u say morrowind is not for pc. The game work on pc and if you use laptop then no wonder why isnt working lol , laptop isnt pretty much for games in first place lol:| is an 2002 old game for fuck sake :| if you dont like morrowind then play skyrim :|
You are just adorable. Yup, the NSA is only looking at your windows 10 data, absolutely no other OS is even visible to them. I'm so glad people like you still exist and still choose to be as vocal as you.
Offensive? Oh boy, you must be a sensitive one. Yes I was being condescending because you were being an idiot saying "it doesn't work for me so nobody else even try to use it" in reference to morrowind. If you hate the game, great, but saying "it doesn't work for anyone" because it didn't work for you is pretty dumb considering how popular of a pc game it is. Do you think everyone else who was able to play it was just lying to "offend" you or are you starting to understand my point?
"well, a desktop PC by default beats a laptop..." Flawless logic, how dare anyone ever question your level of education in computers. Yup, my old windows 95 is still better than my HP laptop I bought last year.
It's so cute that you still don''t get it. Yes, it's like a person who graduated from college acting like they know more than you. No, not because of a piece of paper, because they took the steps and did the work to learn something while you just sat in judgement and complained online. You are not a special snowlfake, you were being talked down to because you were acting like an uneducated spoiled child, and even now you are continuing to act like a spoiled uneducated child. The game runs fine on my laptop, not even crashing. Considering your argument was "it doesn't work for me so you should all avoid it unless you have super powered pcs!" yes, you absolutely showed that you have no idea what you are talking about and know almost nothing about pc games. Just go back to your console kid, it will take good care of you. Just follow them waypoints and shoot the bad guys, don't let these nasty educated people bully you by not shielding your fragile ego.
I think those console games looked blurry only on the original consoles due to the rendering capabilities at the time. They might have been jacked up just to record a cinematic and then capture it as a video file so the consoles can play it without exploding, but out of the question for regular play. I watched the cinematic of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver and the cinematic looks worse than in-game graphics nowadays. I've never played N64 games, neither on a console or an emulator and even though I had an NES, I never had the original Castlevania games so I was never "exposed" to them and at this point it's too late as they are sort of gohtic/vampire themed arcade beat-em ups from my observations and I only stick to RPG, RTS, TBS, FPS and racing. The only fighting game I ever truly enjoyed and was hooked on was Guilty Gear. http://igg-games.com/guilty-gear-x2-reload.html
I think there is an .ini file somewhere where you can edit values and have the game modified below Minimum in the launcher, but then you don't have to touch the regular settings again. Also, numerous small files are known to take more time being processed compared to one big file, I don't know why is that, but it's been like this forever. There's some Ultra Low Mod http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/17137/? https://i.ytimg.com/vi/niZKDa9LhRM/maxresdefault.jpg http://images-cdn.9gag.com/photo/aYpPo5v_700b.jpg It apparently makes the game look like RuneScape, which actually looks kinda fun and I might install it just for the fun of it.
Khajiit's land - Elsweyr I would like if TES VI is about Black Marsh, but Elsweyr works too, hopefully it's not going to be about Valenwood or Summerset Isles, because it seems boring, I'm glad at least that they got Skyrim out of the way to we won't see this crap again in the future. From what I read, there won't be an announcement or release until 2019, but that information isn't very credible.
There has to be a mod that changes the water shader to a more simplistic one. When I was testing OpenMW release 0.39, the water shader they had looked good, but took about 20 FPS to the point where it became unplayable, but that was just a OpenMW specific problem at that time, no other game ever caused trouble with the water. I found Skyrim to be just too themeparky for me. Not complex enough and with a disappointing story. On top of that the snowy region/viking theme is the one thing I don't like at all in games. If TES VI is as a letdown as Skyrim and Fallout 4 are, then I'll happily stick with Morrowind and actually might take part in the modding community to help make it better and with improved visuals. Those guys have developed a new way to render graphics, sadly at this point it's only focused on VR. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4pFAgf3PUK8 You can check their other videos if interested.
My PC is weak, old and outdated, I never glorified it. Originally I responded to you was because if someone came looking for the game to try it for the first time, your comment will scare them away. I hate Skyrim, for the record. They had all this great technology and they took this crap and called Skyrim. The only mod that fixes the game is the Morrowind Code Patch which changes scripts in the game where the developers didn't check, like for example there is a cave outside Seyda Neen with some Khajiit and Argonian prisoners, there is one prisoner whose cuffs you can't remove and there is not reason for that, this mod fixes stupid issues like that. It can even make the game harder by making traps invisible or make the game more complex by adding a script to allow you to enchant arrows and stuff. Morrowind is probably the best RPG I've ever played, no game is so original and complex than that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-rtCDu3qwsk Mods also decrease the performance, so if it runs fine with mods, it should run awesome without them. You say that the game runs bad on PCs compared to XBOX, well the thing is that the XBOX is one hardware so optimizingthe game for one specific hardware is easier, that's why crApple producs run so fine - they have less hardware to worry about. PCs are different - every person has their own hardware and there are chances that a game won't be optimized for every piece of hardware. As for ESO, it has HUUUUGE loading times, at one point it would take 15 minutes after you input your password just to take you to the character selection screen. It's one really heavy game and being able to play it with my PC is a blessing.
Here's a YouTube video I specially prepared for you, a footage of this exact copy of Morrowind modded with distant lands and real time shadows: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SJGnOv5hs4E My Specs: Windows 10 x64 3.1GHZ dual core Gigabyte GT 630 4GB RAM 500GB HDD So even if you decide to ignore this in denial, other people will see that you aren't telling the truth. Being a gamer for a long time and technical education are two different matters. I was born in 1991 and never had XBOXes or Playstations, up till 2005, I didn't even had my on PC and I can assure you, that there are so many technical factors you have no clue they even exist, it will make your head spin if I told you. You aren't a unique and special snowflake so to demand not to be talked down, you are the same decaying organic matte as everything else. xD Apparently you don't know enoug about computers if you are arguing with me that your archaic laptop can't run morrowind, it just goes to show how pathetic your CPU is. RIFT running fine and looking better? Well guess what year RIFT was published and what year Morrowind did. As I told you - old games like Morrowind aren't designed to run or make good use of modern hardware, so you need even more processing power to compensate for that, something your laptop can't give you. If you have noticed, my desktop isn't much better than your laptop, and yet I can play all the newest games with at least 30 FPS, at least on lowest, games like: Grand Theft Auto V Star Wars Battlefront 2015 Battlefield I Fallout 4 Even The Elder Scrolls Online works fine on my desktop, I bet if you try to get to the character creation screen your laptop will explore. xD But enough about that, as the video shows, you are wrong - the game is perfectly fine, your machine is weak and you are uneducated, believeing that if it sucks for you, then it must suck for everyone else.
Yes, although I'm back to Windows 7, Windows 10 is crap, but yeah, it works fine on Windows 10. You might want to set a HD resolution so your game doesn't look stretched and increase the draw distance so it doesn't look like there's fog everywhere.
Oh i know the sensation very good , it was pixel when i started the game :| Btw i got a weird problem with skyrim special edition , is everything black , start the game , nice music and so dark :|
People at GOG can't fix the dtaw distance or texture quality. You aren't educated enough about the game. When the game was being developed, Bethesda had in mind to make the world procedurally changing - the blight from Red Mountain going down and engulfing settlements along the way making the player act as fast as possible. But due to technological restrictions around 1998-2001, they scrapped this concept and made the game as it is today and probably put the Ghostfence to make up for it. Morrowind was made to run on different hardware, such as the Voodoo graphics card that was the best thing around 2002. The game relies more on the CPU power than the GPU power and it doesn't fully utilize GPUs and modern hardware to begin with. Morrowind isn't a console port as it was originally made for the PC. There is OpenMW, which attempts to rewrite Morrowind from scratch in their open source engine, which when completed, will utilize modern hardware better so it will be easier to make it look better without the expense of performance, you can see here the latest update and what is it all about: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avPbctre9Qw If you want high draw distance and better textures, you have to mod your game. You can mod the resolution to be 16:9 or whatever you want. There is the Morrowind Code Patch which fixes many problems with the game that Bethesda never fixed. You can check this video and see what it looks like when modded: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ESYIjwZU9J8 Also, the GOG and this game works fine on Windows 10 x64 without any modifications on the users' side.
Thanks for the post and the vids. I'm revisiting this game to play again with mods. You mentioned GOG early in your post. Can you verify that this is in fact the GOG version?
