The game is kinda ass, it's more a mushroom hunting simulator with no regen, so you have to check every single corner of the game and every where above you to look for secret places to get enough items to survive. Fuggin dumb ass game and waste of time
dude for a fucking reason its a early access game devs wants feedback from players with any kind of PCs nasa PC players, stock pc players, low budget pc players, Potato Pc players thats how certain games who uses UE5 became good like satisfactory
Best Visuals I have seen in years...its f insane....on the other hand it is another Early access (aka early as_p_ss)...so another one i just wait for ______ who knows, yay.
Here's my review after playing for around an hour and a bit.
I have to say, I don't understand the direction they want to go with the game. Maybe because it's still in Early Access, but it's like they went for a linear RPG, but then have a system that's built around open world.
You have a alchemy/crafting system, but that's basically your only way of healing outside of levelling up. There are no free health potions that refill everytime you use a campfire, which acts as your save point, but at the same time, on the upside it doesn't respawn enemies (it's just a save system).
I kind of like the melee, it's much better than Dying Light (at least for me), though can feel a bit sluggish due to weapon speed, but enemies have much better hit-reaction.
Not sure, don't think so. You'd have to check out the whole skill tree, which I can't be bothered since the game runs a bit too badly, and currently feels a little too much of a slog
The only people that used "souls" to describe Cuphead was out of touch "Gaming journalists", the same people who couldn't complete the tutorial. They did the same when Crash N Sane Trilogy came out, a journalist called it" The Dark Souls of Crash games" because it was harder than the original Crash games. Those people are to be ignored and mocked. Now when it comes to this game, where I saw it described as " Skyrim Souls" was on Youtube, in a stream by a Youtuber I follow and who's content I enjoy. I didn't watch the stream cause I didn't have time but yeah
Since you can not kick barrels, it's not a spiritual successor to DMMM. It will however - once they patch in the ability to kick barrels - become in every word of the sense, a spiritual successor to DMMM. The simple joy of kicking the fucking Barrel in the face of enemies contains in its purest form that which constitutes the essence of Dark Messiah. It is not wished for, it is not expected, it is required.
Game freezes for a couple of seconds sometimes when pressing left mouse button. I changed button settings a couple of times , still nothing. Guess game is just buggy.
Anybody get controller support working? I can't get any of my controllers to work and I refuse to play a game like this with a damn K&M.
It always blows my mind when they fail to prioritize that for the sort of game that plays way better with a controller. If I'm doing melee combat and blocking and dodging and using magic and whatnot, it damn well better work with a controller.
Guess they must be strapped for cash. Which is weird because looking at their site, they published a lot of AAA games that sold pretty well, including Remnant 2 which confused the FUCK out of me cause I was sure that game was published by Gearbox, not THQ
Also, EARLY ACCESS AF

Overall, not really vibing with the game.
cuphead was called cupsouls when in fact was more like playing contra 3 on hard
by today standards now looks like shit

The game looks pretty good, but runs kind of crap like typical UE5 games.
Also missing quite a bit of settings
