I managed to get the 4.03 version, downloading the game ISO from the torrent and then installing it, and updating it straight away. I'll try to explain as best as possible. So you download the game ISO, then you gotta install it. When installing it, don't put it inside a folder, but instead directly in one of your hard drive so the path should look like this : "E:\The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt GOTY Edition". Then, rename the game folder in the installation program, you don't really have an option to do so, you gotta do it where you choose the installation path. So you rename your game folder where it's written "E:\The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt GOTY Edition" so it looks like this "E:\TheWitcher3" with no spaces and a short name. After the game finish the installation, don't launch it, and try to install Update Hotfix. If it works, you're good to go, install all the other Hotfixes and Updates in order and you should have the 4.03 version. You HAVE TO reinstall the game and rename the folder while in the installation process , otherwise the updaters won't be able to find, or modify the game files.
Sidenote if you want to mod the game : On nexusmods.com sometimes the mods aren't up to date and you gotta look through the comment section for Users who updated the mods themselves for the 4.03. Mods already up to date should have an upload date of May 2023, and the mods with a date past 19 July 2023 are probably for the newest version, aka 4.04 so be careful. Im assuming issues your are hardware related. I have the rtx 3070 and i7-10th gen. Also, before I downloaded anything I disabled my firewall and antivirus. NEED HELP Please!!! Im installing the updates now but I am stuck a bit. Still at HOTFIX, after I download it it turn out to be a BIN File so I installed PowerISO (I dont know if it work or not, please suggest better one). However, I still cant open the file via POWERISO, when I click double click on it nothing happens. I tried turn off windows security nothing happens. please help.
also, do i need to download all the updates? or just the last one?
there's a fix here, since the the pop up says it can't run the file with long names. change both of the .exe file and the .bin file with shorter name but remember add "-1" in the last part the bin file for example "4.00_(60926)-1.bin" now it can find the bin file in the same folder.
things to note: don't extract the bin file of the hotfix

Instead of simply saying it doesn't work, you should describe the error you're getting.
Because the files come from GOG.com. In other words, you are having the same files as those who bought the game from GOG, just install and play, it's not secure at all.

dont update the hotfix! it may not work properly, and boom! you got a ruined game. if you wanna take the chance, feel free, but i strongly suggest you should wait for new update
Still work if you know how to Update. really took me along time (5 Hours) so I'm not recommend download. If you still want to download JUST REMEMBER In first step run as admin setup includes update setup. Then you must have Installing game directly to hardisk. exp D:\ "this is your game selection location, name must be short and not have space (witcher3) this will be fine" REMEMBER DO NOT CREATED FOLDER BY YOURSELF. LET THE INSTALLING CREAT THEMSELF. after that run update setup in oder, these 8 part. install one by one, really took along time to update so be patient.
To fix the update patches' errors follow these steps: 1- uninstall the game if you already downloaded it. 2- Run the game setup file as administer 3- in the installation menu change the path of the game to (C:\TheWitcher3) 4- You need to do this before installing not after 5- Run the patches in order
Ye I have no clue how other people got the patches to work, I tried changing the name of the game via the installer to TheWitcher3, tried as administrator, changed the game name to the installation path that the update was changing too which only worked for the first hotfix update but then the second hot fix update wouldn't work and said it couldn't find the file. Also was doing this while installing to root of ssd so no long file path names either, just D:\TheWitcher3

The only one of these links that I saw didn't say the file was removed was megaup, I tried to download from it but it makes you disable your adblocker, I tried that and it continues to say disable your adblock while spamming you with ads and not even letting you scroll without a popup

LAG SPIKE & STUTTERING EVEN IN LOW SETTING. If you have the same problem as me make sure you don't install any updated. previously I have updated to V4.01 HOTFIX but I am not satisfied because the performance is messed up, lag spike and stuttering lag. however, I reinstalled and tried to update one by one, it turned out that only UPDATE HOTFIX (1.88GB) was suitable for best performance. It also happened to Cyberpunk where the performance dropped badly after install new updated.

Solved. I just clicked ok again and continued the installation and then I opened the game from the .exe file from the x64 folder instead of the x64_dx12 folder and everything seems to be fine.
I was having a black screen issue at the beginning of the game, but I've been finally able to solve it.
As someone suggested I installed both game and 2 hotfixes before logging the game. Then I logged from the .exe en the x64 folder (direct access from desk sent me to .exe in x64_dx 12 that seem to not to work). So solution is as simple as using the .exe in x64

Hey, i had this problem, the solution here is to right click on your icone desktop, then press open the installation folder. Now that you are in "The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt GOTY --> Bin --> x64 --> witcher3.exe . Right click on "witcher3.exe" create a shortcut, drag it to your desktop and Done ! :)
how about Hearts of Stone and Blood & Wine expansions. I remember buying TW3-GOTY for PS4, the included DLCs are amours and some side quest that you can download in PS4 Library. Not the Hearts of Stone and Blood & Wine expansions. in the PS4 CD booklet says Including all 16 DLCs

use internet download manager extension in chrome and download it in your PC, then download game files from http://MegaUp.net to download ,now it downloads at same speed as Google drive
guys, its in your file folder called "The witcher 3 wild hunt GOTY" and then click "bin" folder then "x64" folder and you will see witcher3.exe file which have different logo than any other file there, thats your actual game

Download all parts then extract them all with winrar then download the game, it will lead you to c drive if you click on the shortcut so what you have to do is go to bin then x64 then locate the file called "Witcher3.exe" and make a shortcut of it. was able to launch the game from the installation. however, the game deleted itself within 6 hours. currently re-installing. all of the save-game info still seems to be okay within my documents folder but the actual game itself is gone. it should be noted that the computer i installed it on is not connected to the internet and thus it being an external/nefarious cause seems unlikely. update: found solution in comments.
Got the game to work after installation. After I restarted my computer, can't get the game to launch. It opens the local disc only when I open the app. Any ideas? Edit: found the answer in the comments. All good now
when downloading from megaup net you dont download exe files. make sure its a rar file always. if you run adblock itll filter out some ads on mega but whitelist bluelinks site as thats iggs way of keeping this stuff free. but yea rar files.!...been watching the witch on netflix and now i gotta play this again had 110 hours in on my last time around to bad i dont have those save files anymore...or i dont believe i do...

I apologize for being stupid, but how do we actually start this game when we install it? I installed it last night and the installer automatically opened it for me. But today I can't find any kind of executable to open it. The desktop icon just takes me to my c drive and the gog/witcher directory doesn't have anything like a Witcher.exe in it. for any cracked game, not just this one, you need to download all parts.then extract the contents. it usually gives an error messages if there's a missing or corrupt part.
Parts 6 and 7 need a re-upload, mega up is the only one available and it won't download at more than 2MB/s, every other part from mega up has downloaded at over 20MB/s so either something is wrong with those downloads specifically, or mega up caps you at 2MB after so many downloads, I haven't used the site for anything else this month so it's 100% because of this game's downloads, if not re-uploading all of them, atleast do the last 2 or 3 parts, it's taken me longer to download part 6 alone than it's taken me to download all other 5 parts combined... And it's still not done yet.

Hmm... I see. That means the version available currently doesn't have the voice pack. I had a look and it seems that for both GOG and Steam versions, you have to change the language in the Account and then Download another voice pack of roughly 2.3GB. Dunno how to get it though
You need to reinstall your game and when it's done, you click on "launch". The game will launch and you just use the windows option : " pin to the taskbar".
There was no install wizard, the game just started installing as soon as i opened the setup. Oh well, i downloaded from somewhere else, and installed it where i wanted. Peace.
Just wanted to know, is this worth it? I keep hearing that it's an RPG, but i've also heard that it's an action open world game with RPG elements. There doesn't seem to be a character creation, nor a stealth mechanic which is my preferred way of playing. Of all the gameplays i've seen, this white haired guy always fights like a ballerina. I don't know, i might give it a shot but this doesn't really look like what the fans are claiming it to be. But hey at least it has some good graphics from the looks of it :/
That white haired guy is the same guy of all the 2 others "The Witcher" games, and yes, its a action game with elements of rpg (you can change the armor, the weapons, you have skill points to invest) with a pretty damn good story behind it for what i heard (with choices) btw, the community of this games is full of mods, and even have a stealth mod for this game, but idk about the character creation
I've been looking into the game and it seems there is no character creation, not even with mods. Which sucks because i really hate the character design of that white haired guy. But here's the thing, do i need to play the first two in order to understand what's going on in 3? Or is it an episodic series? Cause if my enjoyment of this game relies on if i've played the previous games or not then i'll have to pass cause i'm simply not buying three games. I'd rather buy Ride 3.
You can partly customise Geralt by changing his hair and beard (the beard and hair grow in game as you play it). Change his weapons, armor (gloves, pants, chestpieces etc) even change your horse's saddle.
No need to play the earlier 2 games it would be fine, you would knew more about in game history, plot and characters and even more if you would read the whole Witcher Saga (~6 books if im not wrong? Totaly worth reading!) because you would know more about the story and back story of all the most important characters etc.
There are choises, a lot of choises! Even ones that can make a certain character be dead or alive at the end of the game (wont spoiler)
The story is FFUCKING AMAZING, two major dlc's with different stories, gameplay, items, characters etc.
Side quests... dude a lot of them, and everyone has its own unique history, there are not like the shitty bethesta Settlements, each of them can make you : laugh, cry, feel bad for someone, make a moral choise (CHOISES IN SIDEQUESTS!)
Hmm what else? A beautiful world, living by its own, a lot of easter eggs during npc's conversations. Personaly i love stealth based games, but the Witcher.... duuude even it there is not much of stealth in it, its totaly worth it playing this game... and you cant name yourself a gamer if you havent played it! MINIGAMES!!! Minigames soo good that CDProject Red made one of the minigames a totaly standalone multiplayer (duels?) card game called Gwent.

I never had the chance to play dark souls games. I've heard that the dark souls games are so brutally hard that it's almost retarded. So that kind of kept me from playing. I like challenging games but not when they're unfairly hard and makes for a frustrating experience. How is dark souls related to witcher 3 though? I believe i was talking about witcher 3. Why the files were deleted from the server without prior warning?? The download was to complete and had 4gb downloaded when suddenly file not found error occured. WHAT THE HELL!!!
I did the same thing as always (win rar then gog launcher), but when I go to the game's folder, the game's launcher (.exe) isn't here. But I did managed to launch the game the first time with the "do you want to run the game" window that appeared after the first installation, so the game actually works any suggestions?

You need to make sure that all 7 parts of the download are in the same folder. You also need to make sure that all 7 parts are named correctly, so if you had to re-download one of the files you need to make sure it doesn't say something like NameofFile.rar (1)
If your mods are coming from Nexus, then the Nexus Mod Manager will take care of all the installation technicalities. But for mods that aren't compatible with NMM, you've gotta learn that on your own by taking time and doing more research on it. Manually installing mods used to be really difficult for me at first, then after modding the shit out of Skyrim and Fallout 4, i'm kind of a mod master now lmfao. Just give it time.
This game wasn't made with mods in mind. If you read the directions on the mod or mods that you want to install, many times they tell you where to put them.
I downloaded and Installed. Ran the game fine through the install menu, then exited the game. I clicked on the shortcut it provided and i get sent to its folder location. I cant figure out how to open it again without installing the whole thing... what am i missing?
wew this is pretty great, i originally 100%'d this game on ps4 before the 2 major DLCs came out, but now that ive finished building a nice computer its great playing this again with the 2 new major DLCs, got like 20 mods on it, some HQ retextures, shaders, lighting, its been a blast so far

IGG only does that when ALL links go down. Until that happens, he won't be re-uploading. I'd recommend torrenting it, because it'll be a really long time before it goes down on all links

Is it really just 40 GB? My friend has a steam (bought) version and it weights 55GB, I also have The Witcher 3 with the 1.10 installed, but it's the version where Blood and Wine is said to be 'coming soon', it also weights not a whole 37GB.
and why not just copy your friend Game file? so you can get the same game size as him and free legit steam version. problem solve (require a steam account & app install on your OS tho)
It doesn't work like that. Did you know the steam game 'execs' aren't really execs but just a URL taking you to a Steam checkpoint where it initiates start of the game? Anyway, those are basically other game versions, basically - there is ZERO chance of compatibility.

have this cracked version installed.. (all 40 parts no mods/addons or any edits to this cracked version) all the languages work just fine. i will try to name a few. English, Brazilian, Portuguese, Latin, Spanish, French, Polish. and like 3 other but i forgot.. but i can assure you the languages work out of the box (that "box" exists out of 40 parts tho)

game works perfectly with no lag or such issues, but my graphics are really wonky, like there is too much sharpening and too much bloom. Happens when they are set to off, happens in all modes from low to ultra. My card ain't a problem, i have 2x1070s Edit: Cutscenes in ultra are perfect, others are bad, but video lags after audio for about a second.
some people just isnt rich enough to buy an A+ games. me myself barely had enough to buy my rig. so yeah sorry. hope i can return the favor to the devs after i become a successful person.

1080 is overrated. i would probably go for 2 980's (second hand) or 2 1070's in SLI as it will work out the same price as one 1080 and surpass the performance.
1060 is good. but not very great at 4k or 3 monitors. which i intend to do in the future. as of whitch 2 graphics cards in SLI (1070 or 980) would be able to achieve full uncompromised 4k at 100 fps+.
i highly recommend a curved 4k monitor. i currently have one. and i play 1080p on it (due to mai amazing potato pc) and i can assure you, you won't regret it.
You must mean Intel IGPU graphics. as i am using Intel on my pc, and in fact a somewhat low end processor. Just using a Graphics card. which is a basic entry-level GPU I don't underestimate my pc, i have seen what it can do in rendering, gaming, bitmining and just plain stress tests. i can say i am happy with my pc even tho i know this isn't really anything near the best.
All the languages work just fine. i will try to name a few. English, Brazilian, Portuguese, Latin, Spanish, French, Polish. and like 3 other but i forgot.. but i can assure you the languages work out of the box (that "box" exists out of 40 parts tho) with no mods/edits

most probably your graphics settings are on low, you have smaller resolution monitor. he has a graphics mod. or you plain did not turn all the settings up to max.

Well, I mean, you didn't NEED to delete it all, but if you wanna, go ahead. It's more like if you update straight to 1.22 you need to download the .45 DLCs that I have somewhere in the comments. If you update to 1.21 the DLCs in the Game Page are compatible, download and install them ALL and then download and install 1.22. 1.22 has a feature that updates your installed base game + DLCs to 1.22 if you have em installed before installing 1.22
the witcher series is a bit weird to understand fully HOWEVER as axas said start with the first one to understand just who geralt is and what a witcher truly does :) Then play the others. It isn't required to understand this one :) but it will help ALOT.

So you had the old game files that didn't have an installer for the base game, but you were able to update it to 1.12.1 using the GOG installers, right? It's weird that it's not detecting your game. Do you remember the .reg file that came with one of the updates back when you downloaded it? Open it with notepad and then open regedit and see if you can reach where the registry key is. If you have 1.21 (You can see when you launch the game) install the DLCs that IGG uploaded then the 1.22 Update (it will update your DLCs and main game to 1.22). If you have 1.22 (Main Menu tells you which version) install the DLCs that I posted somewhere below. If you get that it's down, then maybe it's something wrong on your side, because I just checked them and they work (The ClickUpload Links) but if it still doesn't work, tell me and I'll try to upload the DLCs on Mega. (You can also uninstall the game and try installing it again and do Base Game > 1.10-1.21 > DLCs (16DLC, HoS, B&W) > 1.22)

This DLC work with version 1.21. You need to download 1.10-1.21 Patch and then the DLC that are above. After that, download 1.22 and apply it, make sure you have all 3 Expansion/DLC installed after updating to 1.21 so that the 1.22 installer can update them to 1.22 as well. You need the 1.01-1.10 patch to be able to use the 1.10-1.21 patch. If you are playing in a different language, you need to install that language before the patches. I'll try to find the 1.01-1.10 patch since it's no longer available from here.

the game worked fine on 1.10 with heart of stone but when i install 1.2 the game just crashes instantly saying the witcher 3 has stopped working. ive been trying for hours to fix it to no avail. some fixes sugest to delete a few dll files from the bin folder but my game doesnt have any of them.

Can you split the 1.21 patch? Free mega is gone and I can't download files bigger than 1gb, it aways stop in the midle and says I have to wait 6 hours.
Pretty sure, it's been maybe a week that this has been going. I use jdownloader to work around this problem using reconect to change my ip but he seems to be unable to download files larger than 1gb. The browser and mega program can download but stops right in the middle saying that I reached my "limit".

Depends if your registry didn't get messed up because of doing that. If you follow the instructions in the Game Page but instead of getting 1.10-1.12.1 you get this one. I would also recommend installing the Language Pack if you are installing a language that's not english before the Patch. After that, follow everything in the Game Page.

Hey habe das gleiche Problem gehabt. Du musst zuerst das deutsche Sprachpaket installieren und danach die DLCs. Die DLCs nehmen sich die Information von der installierten Sprache. Zum Kontrollieren solltest du in dem Installations Verzeichnis: GOG Games\The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\DLC\ep1\content Die Datei "depc.w3speech" suchen. Ist diese nicht vorhanden Hearts of Stone einfach nochmal drüber installieren nachdem der German Patch installiert ist. Hier nochmal die Komplette Installations Reihenfolge:
Hauptspiel: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt v1.10 (GOG)

can someone help me?i just installed the witcher 3 v1.10 with all dlc + heart of stone, then tried it and it works. so i download the 1.12 patch and apply itu using the registry fix because it won't find the installation folder. but when i tried to start the game it said "program can't start because galaxy.dll is missing" where can i find the galaxy.dll?

What a mess. I was able to solve it though. So go to C:/ Make a folder called GOG Games, then copy the folder where you installed the game which is usually named "The Witcher 3 - Hearts of Stone" and paste it on this folder. After that, rename it to The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt After you have done all that. Download this file and accept adding the registry entries to your registry, then try applying the patch again. OKay, So I have downloaded it. It seems that the game includes ALL the DLCs and the expansion, so you don't need to do any updates. It's still installing for me, so I can't confirm if it's updated to the latest patch. Regardless of that. It's not compatible with the GOG installer due to it being installed in a different folder than GOG Games are usually installed. I am not sure how it will work regarding the new expansion that will be coming out, I am guessing that 1. They will release an updated version of their repack. 2. They will release the update by itself, making it compatible with the repack. 3. I have no idea.

And does changing anything from its original installed folder and registry doesn't have any impact in my system? I don't mind uninstalling/installing the game again. In case something goes wrong.
As long as you know what is being added to the registry, there won't be any issues. what you can do is edit the .reg file using notepad and add the path where your folder is, that way you don't need to be moving it around and all that. Make sure that in Path, you use two slashes instead of one, like it would usually be.
Before I update the game the Witcher 3 works properly that is why I'm sure everything is ok until I update it. The only thing I've change in registry (using notepad) before adding it in my registry are "PATH","uninstallCommand", "SAVEGAMEFOLDER", "LAUNCHCOMMAND", "EXE" and "WORKINGDIR". Maybe I've done something wrong here.
Hmm...I feel it might have something to do with the installation folder. move it to C:/Games and edit the registry accordingly. Before that. Change StartMenu to the same name as the folder name. "The Witcher 3 - Hearts of Stone"
If I installed the game in C:/ what are the things I will need to change in registry (notepad)? If this still doesn't work maybe I'll just play the game in 1.10 version sign. :(
Delete the steam files in the x64 folder. should be 4 of them. Edit: It was such an obvious method. Dangit. I guess because essentially what happens is that the Steam version (Black Box Repack) gets combined with the GOG version (the installer) and it messes up things. So to fix that, you delete the Steam stuff and now it's fully GOG.
I am reinstalling the game and following your installation process. Gimme an hour and I will try to see if it works for me. If not. Then you will have to reinstall it to D:/Games (I said C because that's the drive that I have everything on. Since for you it's D, then you install it in the path mentioned above) Also, I guess you tried running as admin, right?

Download, Extract, and install (using the GOG Setup) The Witcher Wild Hunt 1.10 GOG.
Download, Extract, and Install Patch 1.10-1.12.1
Download, Extract, and Install the 16 DLC Installer.
(OPTIONAL) Download, Extract, and Install the Language Packs
Download, Extract, and Install Hearts of Stone DLC.

There are no Spanish Audio Packs, you can see it on The Witcher 3 Steam Page, it only has the 7 Audio Packs that are mentioned in this page. Spanish is Text only. No hay audio en Español. Solo texto. Since it's Patch 1.01 to 1.10 (9 series of Patches) it will take A WHILE. So just go do something else meanwhile. Don't end it abruptly, else you might corrupt the registry.

I am partly in fault for this, but I really mean it, the game is now way easier to install now that the process has been made simpler. If they haven't downloaded as many parts from the base game, then they should start over. I recommend using JDownloader for these BIG games. It resumes if you exit and come back, it can download from Mega, etc.

What I can do is send you the whole Patch from 1.01-1.10, apart from that, I can't do anything else for you. Rather, I would recommend you download the Base Game again, since that one will 1. Have an installer, that way you don't have to fiddle with registry, 2. It's already pre-patched to 1.10.

Game Page has been updated. Installation process will now be more streamlined. Unless you were trying to download the base game files that were before, you might have to redownload it, but now, everything has an installer, so no need to fiddle with registry, except the goodies, since they are just goodies.

Hi, I am guessing you haven't downloaded the Portuguese-Brazilian language pack. You need this in order to hear the audio in that language. Gimme an hour or so and I can give you a link to download the language pack for that.

Sound issue, possible fix: "Ok I'm feeling pretty stupid right now but in hopes of helping anyone else that might have this issue, go to control panel and open up your audio settings. In playback, highlight your playback device and click the button at the bottom that says configure. Change your audio channels appropriately. Mine was set at 5.1 surround and I switched it to Stereo. I don't know if the game doesn't support this setup or what, but in my case I only have 2 speakers and a sub. Changing this to Stereo fixed my issue. I'm pretty sure Quadraphonic would work as well. Okay. No problem, as long as you have all the files, kinda. So if I think about this, then that means that what you unpack is the file that has GOG galaxy and all that for the base game. What you need to do is go to the 1.01 update folder, go to the .reg file, open it with Notepad, and edit the location where you want the game to be installed in. That OR you can move the file so it matches the .reg location, which IIRC is "C:\GOG Games\The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" After that you save and double-click the .reg file and click on yes to add the registry entries to the registry.
Nope, its in the same place of the register file. I did just like the video, edited the .reg file, saved it, did the v1.01 update and I can play the game, but I can't do the other updates though
Wait. Go to wherever you have the files for The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt and make sure that the Folder name is "The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt" Since that was the only way I got that Installation not found thing.

Installed patch 1.12 and installed dlcs but the game doesn't load them so i cant load my old saves. i tried to reinstall them many times but nothing... someone know how to fix it?
Oh I see. Delete the Dlc folder and reinstall using the condensed DLC program and copy the files from the Hearts of Stone Dlc. Sorry if that means you will do something you already did, again. But that's a way to make a clean Dlc installation.

Solved it!!! My mistake is that one of the path in the registry is unchanged thats why it didnt update the 1.01-1.10 patch..i got it working now thanks...
Oh right, I forgot to tell ya. Somewhere in the comments, I posted a condensed DLC setup. That way you install all 16 DLCs in one setup instead of having to do them 1 by 1
Only thing I would recommend would be, if you still have the files for the base game, to copy and restart again. That or try again the 1.01 patch. If that one does work, then I have no idea. If it doesn't then your registry path got changed.

you can launch the game if you have the first patch installed, I didn't want to risk installing it again so I don't know, but I did launch it at the first patch to see the main screen
1.10 does work its just a big package so it will show its not responding but its actually installing. If it wont start do patch 1.01 if you closed 1.01 to 1.10
It does work maybe because you canceled in the middle of the installation, so install the first patch again then try again, and it will take a long time to install 1.01-1.10.
when i try to install patch 1.01 it finds the folder but in the end of the patch it gives me the error: Folder names cannot include any of the followign characters: / : * ? " <>... i installed patch 1.10 but in some points the game freezes and returns me to desktop.. the error message is "display driver stopped responding and has recovered" i didn't have that problem with my previous patch..how can i solve it? :(
It happened to me as well, but that's not a game bug. What's most likely happening is your current drivers don't support the in-game graphics or the resolution. Update your drivers and you should be fine. If it doesn't work, it's most likely your computer.
I have a little Problem with the installing of 1.01 to 1.11 it shows "This patch does not support your version of the game please download a new installer" thats the error i get when i try to install 1.11... how can i fix this i would play without the patch but then i cant install the dlc's and thats crap...
You have to install it in this order: Patch 1.01 Patch 1.10 Patch 1.11 DLCs (HoS and the 16 DLC packs) At least, that's how I did it and it worked for me
Most likely, yes. Since the new DLC (Heart of Stone) is a standalone "game"(in the "New Game" you have the option to play the DLC only), it basically means that it will work, although I can't guarantee that it will, since you have a legitimate copy of the game. Hope that helps

Now I installed the new Update + DLC and there is no german language anymore :/ I can only hear voice when I turn language to english.. But I want to play it in german like the main game. Download the 3 Parts for it. Then extract. It should be a .exe file. Run it and you're good to go! KEEP THE GAME OFF WHILE IT'S INSTALLING, OR YOUR GAME FOLDER WILL GET CORRUPTED

For those who can't find the .iso file: There is no. Extract your files and go to bin/x64. There is your .exe. You can also move all files to your /Programs.

Hello guys, when i launch "patch_witcher3_1.01-1.06_2.0.0.33", program says that game installation not found, please reinstall. I dont understand why. I've already intalled patch 1.01.
I've found a solution. In Registry.reg, i've pasted C:\GOG Games\The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt. After, i've just put all the folders (_redist, bin, content...) in this folder C:\GOG Games\The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt. And it works. Sorry for my english language, it isnt my main language.

When I downloaded this game and extracted it I never had a registry file in my normal file only in Patch 1.01. In the normal unpatched version their was no installation file only a .exe in x64 which did not show anything or start a program. I listened to iDisOrder's comment but everytime i set the path in the patch 1.01 registry it always say no installation path found reinstall. I never saw an installation file in my game files only the .exe. I have spent about an hour reading the Registry correcting everything word from word but still nothing. Im not missing any files or it would say so with the extraction. Can somebody please respond???
Ummm, excuse me but I still have this bug where in I can't examine the secret opening wall in the main mission "Get Junior". I also can't talk to Vernon Roche - he just stands there and do nothing, even if I throw bombs and all. (Note: Roche is in the cave of Velen - just standing and there's no cutscene when entering the cave. - with the secret door wall, Geralt didn't even comment.). I even tried to go inside Junior whoreson's place but the guards at the door don't even respond. I have downloaded many games from this website and not ONCE have I EVER had ANY issues that people seem to post. No crashes, no bugs, no glitches, no issues with download links. I use the megaUP links and download them 4-5 parts at a time getting 8MPBS or higher speeds. I follow the install instructions after downloading and every single game has worked flawlessly with hundreds of hours of gameplay without any issues whatsoever. Im assuming issues your are hardware related. I have the rtx 3070 and i7-10th gen. Also, before I downloaded anything I disabled my firewall and antivirus. Because the files come from GOG.com. In other words, you are having the same files as those who bought the game from GOG, just install and play, it's not secure at all.

after installation, a folder will be created on the desktop, but no .exe file to start the game - it is not even in the folder : /
What I do:
- Install the game as usual (I use advanced run cuz local disk c is tiny)
- Rename folder before installation since that's what most people here say to do.
- After installation, don't launch and go for the update hotfix.
- Rename the .exe and bin file so they can be launched
- Now the update is stuck, the progress bar never loading.
- Check the patch logs, keep on seeing errors.
What am I supposed to do here?1- uninstall the game if you already downloaded it.
2- Run the game setup file as administer
3- in the installation menu change the path of the game to (C:\TheWitcher3)
4- You need to do this before installing not after
5- Run the patches in order

If you have the same problem as me make sure you don't install any updated. previously I have updated to V4.01 HOTFIX but I am not satisfied because the performance is messed up, lag spike and stuttering lag. however, I reinstalled and tried to update one by one, it turned out that only UPDATE HOTFIX (1.88GB) was suitable for best performance. It also happened to Cyberpunk where the performance dropped badly after install new updated.
I tried to just press ok and continue the installation but when I opened the game several things didn't load correctly. The floor, for example, was completely transparent.
What should I do?
I was having a black screen issue at the beginning of the game, but I've been finally able to solve it.
As someone suggested I installed both game and 2 hotfixes before logging the game. Then I logged from the .exe en the x64 folder (direct access from desk sent me to .exe in x64_dx 12 that seem to not to work). So solution is as simple as using the .exe in x64

about installing the 1.24 to 1.30 i was just able to install the "patch_witcher3_2.0.0.51.exe" others was telling me the game version is wrong.
so the game is running fine without mods, to run with mods this is an other story, i still have few problem...

Copy that and go to your torrent application and do Add Torrent from URL then paste that and click OK to add it. It's like 10 gigs and it will take a while to install, so don't pause it in the middle of it.

Edit: I forgot to mention. You can also open it on Notepad and edit it so as to change things. Such as the name of the folder or the path where it is. Make sure you do everything correctly, else you will still have the issue.
I am not sure how it will work regarding the new expansion that will be coming out, I am guessing that 1. They will release an updated version of their repack. 2. They will release the update by itself, making it compatible with the repack. 3. I have no idea.

Before that. Change StartMenu to the same name as the folder name. "The Witcher 3 - Hearts of Stone"
Edit: It was such an obvious method. Dangit. I guess because essentially what happens is that the Steam version (Black Box Repack) gets combined with the GOG version (the installer) and it messes up things. So to fix that, you delete the Steam stuff and now it's fully GOG.

In playback, highlight your playback device and click the button at the bottom that says configure. Change your audio channels appropriately. Mine was set at 5.1 surround and I switched it to Stereo.

Download this and copy it to your DLC/ep1/content/ folder where all the other .w3strings and .w3speech are
What you need to do is go to the 1.01 update folder, go to the .reg file, open it with Notepad, and edit the location where you want the game to be installed in. That OR you can move the file so it matches the .reg location, which IIRC is "C:\GOG Games\The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt"
After that you save and double-click the .reg file and click on yes to add the registry entries to the registry.

I don't have the registry.reg, wich i have to change, and the patch 1.01 says, that the game installation can't be found
Of course...you can play the game after just downloading and installing update 1.01.
But if you want to play the game with all the DLC and the newest stuff you need all Updates. :-)

You have to install the first patch and change the regestry entry to make the game playable.
So just watch it and do as it says.

In the normal unpatched version their was no installation file only a .exe in x64 which did not show anything or start a program. I listened to iDisOrder's comment but everytime i set the path in the patch 1.01 registry it always say no installation path found reinstall. I never saw an installation file in my game files only the .exe.
I have spent about an hour reading the Registry correcting everything word from word but still nothing. Im not missing any files or it would say so with the extraction. Can somebody please respond???

I even tried to go inside Junior whoreson's place but the guards at the door don't even respond. I forced my way inside whoreson's residence but whoresone wasn't there nor his men. just the corpses of his beautiful victims.

It always says you dont have enough Memory on your Drive, but I have.

This INSTALL GUIDE will also be in the .rar as a Read Me.txt and reflects the new files I'm adding to it.
You may want to delete what you have and re-download it once this page updates ===========================================================
How To Install The Witcher 3 and all DLC
- UNRAR the game if you haven't done so already.
- Ok, decide now where you want to install the game
- Make a 'GOG Games' folder if you need to and then 'move' or 'copy/paste'
- Remember that 'GOG Games' folder you just made and put the 'The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt' folder into?
- Now, go back to the 'IGG-Witcher3[Incl.8DLC]' folder you unrar'd and you'll see a 'Registry' folder.
- Remember your install folder path I told you to write out here?
- Back to the 'Registry.reg' you opened with notepad...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------This will give you one folder, keep this -> "IGG-Witcher3[Incl.8DLC]"
so you can now delete all the ".rar" parts once you've done this.
I'll use my set up as an example:
E:\Games\Non Steam Games\GOG Games\The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt
this entire folder -> 'The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt' into your new 'GOG Games' folder.
This folder can be found in the 'IGG-Witcher3[Incl.8DLC]' folder you just unrar'd
use this space below to write out the complete path it's in like my whole E: path above ^
(trust me, write it out here, you'll be pasting it a lot)
Open that, RIGHT CLICK on 'Registry.reg' and choose 'Edit'- it will open with notepad
(let's use mine as an example:)
E:\Games\Non Steam Games\GOG Games\The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt
everywhere you see a '' add another '' so your path will now look like this:
E:\Games\Non Steam Games\GOG Games\The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt
CHANGE:
"PATH"="C:\GOG Games\The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt"
TO: (use your own install path)
"PATH"="E:\Games\Non Steam Games\GOG Games\The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt"
"PATH" tells your PC, PATCHES and DLC where the game is installed
You can change the other command lines as well, just make sure you direct them to the right places:

You don't have to copy/paste the patches or DLC files into the installation folder, but I do it just to avoid errors.
That being said, right click on 'witcher3_patch_1.01.exe' and install.
If it installs, you modified your 'Registry.reg' correctly.
If it doesn't, you screwed up... go back and check the PATH again.
Do the same for 'patch_witcher3_1.01-1.06_2.0.0.33.exe'
and all DLC .exe's

Desktop Shortcut
To make a desktop shortcut, go in the bin/x64 folder of the game,
RIGHT click on 'witcher3.exe' and "Send to -> Desktop (create shortcut)"
(you can move the shortcut anywhere)
