Ok, first of all, I'm 40 years old. Second of all if raytracing bothers you SO much there are mods on the nexus to shut it off though it's going to make the game look way too dark. I wont bother because my rig has more than enough VRAM to handle it. The game was built around ray tracing it has no other baked in lighting effects so without it, it's just going to suck
just attach an external harddrive, those are as fast as internals nowadays when connected with USB 3 or a gigabit-NAS. tested both and there is no relevant difference.
i have over 100TB attached to the gaming PC that way so i can keep all the games i play installed
game freezes after a few seconds in game. no idea why. tried turning off "PRESENT FROM COMPUTE", disabled the FPS and hardware-usage overlay, shut down all other programs on the computer, playing on an up-to-date- gaming pc. RX9070, 32GB of ram... every other "AAA" game runs fine. internet is full of players complaining when searching doom dark ages freeze. what a mess. would refund if i had bought. thankfully i havent!!!

I totally agree,but unreal-engine is tweakable lumen/rt abit paste and copy (offered by like nexus mods) turning RT off or switching to other lighting, same goes for the other effects,too. However this also the part which i hate doing it,hahaha
CP2077 with rt barely see differences GTA V the same Witcher 3 RT settings are kind of broken RE4 and Village barely too the only diference i see is the PC temps gets crazy high when i enable that shit
Because those games were not built around RT, it's just something extra you can use to improve lighting a bit, even if it's not by much. This game is different because it was built around the usage of RT, there's no baked in lighting effects. So if you don't use RT on it, some areas will look way too dark
if you manage to mentally filter the diversity-BS its OK for free as a reminiscence. aside from that modern games often seem to target for the least common denominator nowadays which is a pity but whatever, worst case is you simply dont play it. there are more games you want to play than you have time in the end anyways ;-)
Honestly, It's quite the opposite for me. There are no games worth playing from my perspective. This one in particular is quite frustrating. Like the stage where you pilot a giant robot. You just go through the tunnel with one robot stopping you occasionally which you combo the same way and walk forward again. And this segment is like 10 minutes long. Absolute snuzeville... The music is trash as all metal usually is as well. The only metal I liked was from Doom ost so it's a huge disappointment for me hearing this tasteless noise pollution. Visually the games are amazing as usual, what these corpo losers know how to do is make interactive movies that sell based on being a turd wrapped in a shinny wrapper... <3 01 8
i actually liked how you can "play" around there, seeing all the small units fighting, recalled my "supreme commander" memories. i also liked how you could destroy all the environment

at least for myself i can say there is a backlog with great games just from BEFORE year 2000 i likely wont be able to finish all of them before i die of old age haha. makes it not so dramatic modern goyslop games often suck. also back in the days there are games who sucked aswell, most just remember the good ones. go trough a collection of old games and play them one by one, at least for me there were many that either sucked in general or at least were not joyful for me to play. dont fret, nowadays everything is free anyway ;-)
open up your folder and see what your missing for the crack files? do you have voices38.dll or steam_api64.dll? if those two files are what your needing i can upload to megaup. in case your av removed the shit or something. otherwise, you can load up the torrent and grab the crack files that way...
think of it like this- every game, plus its patches would need that crack file itself reuploaded so that would be double the work to maintain. however, when someone needs just the crack files (from a removal stance due to antivirus software) someone will usually reupload those cracks for that person. i wouldn download just anything from anyone myself but i tend to try if i have it.. so im sure there are others still active who do.

Because you didn't apply the crack. Copy everything in the "voices38" folder on the ISO file, and paste them into your game installation folder. If it doesn't prompt you to replace the files, then you're doing it wrong. Make sure that none of the crack files were deleted by your Windows Defender/antivirus.

press the key left from your 1 key to open console if you want a proper comparison downlad the 2 images and see the difference yourself or just give it a try
i wish i did not either, its bothersome to have to see for ways to turn off TAA in modern games which offer no such option by default (forced TAA - vaseline filter)
the only acceptable way of antialiasing without losing details is forced SSAA via virtual super resolution, render an 8k image and scale it down to 4k but thats "expensive". i don mind "jagged edges" at all and to those who do i recommend a high DPI screen insted of using TAA

thats the intent of disabling AA as a screen is consisting of pixels things SHOULD be pixelated, however as the pixels are small you will notice little of it while it still gives a crisp image. if you are fine with how it looks by deault be glad, enjoying games is easier if you dont feel like getting eye cancer from blurry images in modern games
i know what AA is and does.. i was pointing out that it looks worse to me in the example images shared. the major problem with newer games is how they use AA, not aa itself.

Open this steam-emu.ini with a texteditor (rightclick on this file and choose open with texteditor). There you can see something like language = english, try to replace it to french, if supported.
