I had this same issue, but managed to fix it. I opened up graphics card settings (nvidia) and changed the default graphics card for the app from the inbuilt Intel HD gfx 4600 to Geforce gtx and works just fine now. Hope this helps.

I'll test to see if it's a local issue, or a problem with the game itself.
I don't know how IGG gets their games, but if the collection of games is entirely user uploaded, then we'd probably have to wait for the original uploader to resubmit with an updated copy.
Actually it'd be pretty cool to give points or just list the contributor for each game submission.

So I tested it. I ran 'airship asunder.exe' and got into the menu, and then the tutorial, without issue.
I'm running an HD Intel 3000 integrated graphics chipset, on Windows 10 x64 for reference.
Rob if you get the chance go into the game folder for airship asunder, and inside is a folder called 'Redist'. If you haven't already, go into redist and install everything in there and try running the game again.
Let us all know how it goes man.

Chances are real good it's a driver issue.
A little googling brought me here. Go to the link, and find the right driver for your OS/cpu (x86/x64)
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/81500/Intel-HD-Graphics-3000-for-2nd-Generation-Intel-Core-Processors
Install, and restart, the usual. And then hopefully you'll be able to play. If it works let us know in case anyone else has the same problem. Good luck.

thanks for the replies bro but I've tried downloading the drivers but it said that my drivers are "customised computer manufacturer driver" and cannot be updated manually nor automatically by driver updaters, then I've tried searching for it within ASUS driver updates and said that all my drivers are up-to-date :( but still the problem still exists, well I've tried every possible update..... so I am not gonna push my luck with this any further (coz it may break my only laptop) if I try to manually update it, but many thanks for the help and time bro :)

still the same and I'm also betting it's the graphics card that is at fault but I can't do anything about it because my driver updates only relies on "ASUS LIVE UPDATES" and it says that all my drivers are updated..... :( i'll just hope it wouldn't do anything with other games in the future.....

Well at least we know now.
I'm using ASUS chipsets to, for that particular card. I'm willing to bet theres some way around that, but at this point you're probably done trying. In any case good luck with other games my man.
