"LOOKS LIKE AN 8BIT GAME FROM THE 80'S" First off, zero need to shout. Second of all, if you're comparing this to an 8 bit game then you don't know what an 8 bit game is. Or any game from the 80's for that matter. Lastly, the artstyle and gameplay are both VERY similar to games like Dead Cells which most certainly is not an 8 bit game from the 80's
I just make a review and give you my thoughts on the game: I actually really like the game. And the music in this has no right to slap this hard, was not expecting some good bangers in there.
The movement system is pretty good, sometimes it feels a bit off to me, especially being on a climbable or swinging pole and it feels like he doesn't grab on or just lets go.
There is a visual bug where when you go to the weapon smith that upgrades them during your run, the infobox about your weapon (and how much it would improve when upgrading) doesn't show up. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't.
Otherwise it's really good. Smith to spend your points to get new weapons, finding blueprints to be able to make new weapons or medaillons (basically passives), Merchant for skins, challenge runs, skill tree, multiple routes you need to take to progress the story and finding new locations during your story quests so you have new areas to explore and go through in your runs.
Gameplay wise it's pretty simple, learning enemy and boss patterns is key like in any rough-like. Combat is fluent. Exploration and parkour challenges are fun and the bosses not bad in how they impliment the wall run into the fights.
I would give it a try if this sounds interesting to you. I liked the older Prince of Persia games, so a rough-lite of it sounded cool. Tried it out yesterday and beat my first run today. It definitely does what it should as a rough-like and it's relatively easy to learn depending how you do with this genre.
