They did such a really good job on this game.
I just wish you could crank down the difficulty to super easy.
I've got what you might call CASUAL fighting game skills.
V1. was easier.
This ones harder.
I keep getting stomped on easy before I ever get revenge for my master.

Wow, what an incredible gem...
I was very skeptical at first cos I HATE every 3D fighting game.
When it comes to fighting, I always stick to the good old ones in 2D from the 90s, like Real Bout Fatal Fury.
But this one is really worth it, especially for fans of 70s/80s Kung-fu movies like me!
It's too bad that this game has an "amateur" feel, cos overall, you can tell the developers know their stuff.
I know very well especially Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan movies, and these guys managed to reproduce their moves VERY accurately, I think.
Well, they did use motion capture, after all... 😋
What a pleasure to watch Jackie Chan do his drunken kung fu moves, like in the "The Legend of Drunken Master" movie! (I mean the one from 1994, not 1978)
(btw, it's too bad, but they don't use the real names in this game!)
The music sounds very much like what you heard in the Bruce Lee movies from the 70s...
Instrumental tracks, using lo-fi "classic" instruments like strings and some traditional Chinese instruments, etc.
The Steam page specifies it's "licensed Kung fu soundtrack featuring music from classic films", but I don't recognize any of them though.
I guess these tracks were used in rare films, maybe?
Or maybe I didn't pay enough attention.
But anyway I LOVE it.
It adds to the tension between the fighters and helps creating a movie-like feeling.
They sure did the right thing. Using modern music would have killed the mood.
Also, I had no idea, but apparently these are the same guys who did the "Kings of Kung Fu" game, which is MUCH worse, in my opinion. =>

This game is an improvement in every way possible.
I wouldn't call the graphics photo-realistic, but definitely, they're believable enough, and like some reviewers recommended on Steam, disable the HUD and it almost looks like you're watching an old 70s Kung Fu movie!
I don't have a very powerful PC, and except some long but acceptable loading times, the game did run perfectly with no slowdowns.
Did I mention the voices also sound very much like the original ones? lol
I can imagine they had lots of fun doing them. ha ha
On the bad side...
When I say that this game has an "amateur feel", it's mainly because I don't find the gameplay smooth enough, compared to the big names out there, like the latest Street Fighter (I know I said I don't play such 3D games, but still I tried it, and it was ok).
It's difficult to describe, but it feels a bit "choppy", some animations look "broken", and I wish I could do combos more smoothly...
This is the only big problem I have with this game.
It breaks the realism of the combat, and more importantly, it creates frustrations sometimes...
Also, it would be nice to have more different attacks.
Then again, I shouldn't ask too much to the dev...
Cos some of these combat styles are soooo complex anyway...
It sounds like a tremendous work to balance all of these fighters and styles together!!
The developer(s?) already achieved something incredible.
It would be nice to imagine a sequel focusing on the 80s.
Cos this one definitely takes place in the 70s. Or maybe even 60s. lol
(despite the presence of Vandamme...lol)
And with some 80s music like in Jackie Chan's "Wheels on Meals"...😅
Maybe my favorite fight of all time, with the fantastic Benny Urquidez =>

I hope the developers keeps adding updates, cos this game a HUGE potential,
and it will be very hard to top it.
If the developers keep improving the graphics, gameplay balance, and keep adding new content (latest update added 2 new characters!), this game could last years!
I hope they realize they created a gem in the world of video games!😍👍
Don't give up on it, developer!

The game is made by a one-man team -- a Korean guy. In this context, the game is amazing (albeit, amateurish in gameplay -- as you implied).

This new release doesn't have a version number, but I assume it's the final release 1.0?
I'm very curious to try it now, maybe it's even better!
(Strangely, I don't see any changes on the Steam page, though... Except that it leaves early access)

I do not think it has had any changes, given that I have the game on Steam and it hasn't updated (to my knowledge) in quite a while.
This same guy also made the spiritual predecessor game to this title: Kings of Kung-Fu -- suggesting that he has likely moved on to his next project already (and that this is likely the "final version" of the game).

Can you update the game to the lastest version? Also please add XP compatibility in system requirements info. In case of crash during battle loading screen, maybe due for low RAM PCs like on the limit of 3.5GB of the 32bit machines, just untick "Options > Graphic settings > Advanced settings > Enable stages". Sigh... no graphic ambient. :\
