Pretty okay game, more Demons Souls than Dark Souls, with a Old School Armored Core flair. Has its issues, but has its charm too, surprising coming from NitroPlus, a VN developer, and their first foray into this kind of action game

JP Jank, unoptimized, kind of confusing, you get stuck on stuff you have no business getting stuck on, weird difficulty spikes, the likes

I actually like it, it has a certain BLAME! vibe to it.

The megastructure-themed map is probably the only value this game has, otherwise I don't find it attracting at all.

Eh fair enough, I can tolerate a lot of crap if there's just a few things I dig, the lonely vibe and the mech stuff is enough for me to like the whole package.

I think Armored Core 6 is more likely to get your attention.

How The Fuck am I Supposed to Get There/10

Man this game has some of the shittiest map design I've ever seen. There's seemingly nowhere to go when you reach a certain area of a sector. And there's this stupid "delay" when you let go of movement control, you can still fall into a pit just because you stop WAY to close to the edge, your character just "slide" off the floor.

To make things even worse... this game has NO MUSIC AT ALL except boss fight.
And then there's the loli protagonist, jeebus I HATE loli.

I think most of these are 'you' problems.
- shittiest map design I've ever seen.
Subjective taste.
- There's seemingly nowhere to go when you reach a certain area of a sector
It's kind of part of the theme. Giant, all encompassing megastructure doesn't have to make logical sense. Exploration is also fun in and of itself. I've beaten the whole game just fine without looking anything main progress related up. I did look up the side quests (I did the zones completely out of order) and if I missed any pickables (Yes, I did), and only after I was standing at the door to the final boss.
- stupid "delay" when you let go of movement control, you can still fall into a pit just because you stop WAY to close to the edge, your character just "slide" off the floor
Actually never happened to me and I used the speedy melee hover legs, so I slid all over, everywhere, all the time. The only time I dropped into a pit is when I wasn't paying enough attention to where I was going, failed to account for elevation, messed up energy management or the jump/hover didn't engage despite me mashing the corresponding input button (this one happened fairly regularly for some reason). All you need to do is push the stick in opposite direction for a fraction of a second to cancel that or just use your eyes to learn how far your momentum takes you after you cease directional inputs. Simple.
- this game has NO MUSIC AT ALL except boss fight
Yeah, like Dark Souls. It's the usual 'only boss + super speshul location' package. The rest of the time you're supposed to use your senses to survive and progress through the game's world but this game's just too easy to require that, relaxing even, most of the time. It also adds to the feeling of desolation, which goes pretty well with the overal theme.
-And then there's the loli protagonist, jeebus I HATE loli.
I'm with you on this one. I'd rather play with proper mecha. The mechanical parts all look pretty good but the forced inclusion of the far too human looking musume trash as the core design element holds the whole aesthetic back. At least one of the bodies you get for your doll (fairly late though) actually looks properly robotic.

All in all, despite the jank, I find the game to be a short and sweet, and surprisingly refreshing experience. It may as well be my favorite new release this year so far.

I get what you want to say, but for me, I can't be bothered navigating this sweaty fucking mess - it's just a 'detour simulator' at some point.

As for the last part - it's not just the forced inclusion of the humanoid body, but the fact all the girls in the game look EXTREMELY underaged and to make things worse, they're not even very pretty. If you've played AI-Limit you'll know character models in Dolls Nest look like shit. That alone is enough for me to not endure this fiasco they've created.

Truth to be told, I've already deleted the game - it's not hard enough to be a Souls Wannabe, but the map? I'll just go play Code Vein for some properly designed maze.

How's Code Vein? I've been eyeballing it for years now but I'm just not at all into the whole vampire anime aesthetic.

It's just From Software game with anime characters.
