One thing to note: after you finish following Jachoc instruction, open the game with ‘State of Decay Year One’ file instead of ‘StateofDecay’ file. The file usually located on your onedrive folder.
I've installed correctly and the games can run indeed but the problem is why mine can't run in full screen plus I can't press any arrow button to move to options section in game. My laptop run at 64 bit. I have a lot of storage and 8gb ram, with AMD ryzen 3rd 4000 with AMD radeon graphics and 4 cpu cores and run at 2.70 Ghz. Please anyone kindly help me to figure this one out, Thanks !

Depends actually, the full version don't have YOSE. I think YOSE is better, because you can put loot at the back of the car. THe full edition you need mods for it. But don't take my words tho, it being long time i play SOD. But i remember about loot at the back of the car
Not replying because I think either of these people are even gonna see this... (2 yrs ago lmao) But you can in fact, put "loot" in the boot or bed of a vehicle in both YOSE and the original. Don't know what this guy is talking about smh. Just wanted to clear this up in case someone who's never played either version thinks this is true. Also, YOSE is basically just a "remaster" of the original, it's basically the same, with the only major differences being, YOSE has a few more vehicles, all DLC game modes, extra weapons, and overall improved gameplay and feel. If you wanna play at a decent framerate on an ultra-low end PC (like an office laptop or something) get the original, if you have a mid-range PC (basically anything with a dedicated GPU) or better, this is definitely the one you should download. I believe most original SOD mods work on YOSE, but not the other way around so... There's more mod support on YOSE than the original as well. Cheers :P
For People who don't know how to install it correctly,
Download it and Extract it
You Have Two Options to deal with the ISO File: First: Install UltraISO Or: Use It With 7-Zip or With Winrar Simply Just Right Click On It And Click "Open With" And Choose 7-Zip or Winrar And Drag The Files To The Folder. Run The Setup.. When The Setup Finished, Go to the Game Where You Installed It.
Go to The Codex Folder(The Setup Folder, Where You Download It At First).
Copy Everything Inside The Codex Folder And Paste It In The Game Folder.
Hello Don't Look at The Video It Doesn't Work But I Have a Solution for the DirectX Error You Need To Remove dxgi.fx and dxgi.dll and That'll Fix it. Don't Know Why but These 2 files are Blocking the game for some, but after you remove them the game will 100% work without any errors. Have Fun :) (WOrks if you got a DirectX 11 or higher card. isnt solution ffor lower end cards
dxgi.fx and dxgi.dll ... these files are related to the ReShade shader and lighting program... so that means someone (not saying who) has installed reshade, then removed it improperly
excuse me, i've done everything and installed directx 11 from the game directory. still says that i need directx 11. (don't mind my shit name, old account)
then you didn't copy the contents of CODEX into the game folder and (maybe you need autorun.inf too?) because i had same problem but after i installed correctly it worked!
i can start it but in the normal game at some point jsut crazy thigs happen like missions getting triggered weirdly and the other 2 dlcs do not work at all in breakdown zombies are just not moving an my hp bar is missing and lifeline jsut gives me an black screen ( i cans till go to esc and exit but i cant see anything)
reinstall and try with your antivirus off... some (but very few) antiviruses will not let you download things that aren't made by the developer or dont have a creator name in the file properties then again i never had this problem so im making a guess
Did you crack it? when opening the installer there is a little check box that says "copy contents form crack(or codex) folder" you can do that or you can manually drag the files from the download folder to the game directory
