I think maybe GOG changed (no longer 100% DRM free). But anyway it doesn't need a crack. Your Windows should have GOG Galaxy installed, just that, then the game works fine.

Windows anti-virus will remove the steam_api64.dll file. So you need to manually drag it into your game folder and then allow it in your windows
