VERY seed/RNG dependent. Be prepared to restart to get a seed with enough BASIC resources in range to be able to get anywhere in a reasonable amount of time. Had to restart my first game twice to get a seed with stone that wasn't on the other side of the map from my starting location. And that's a much needed starting resource.
Otherwise, Just a more simplistic "anno" type of game.
Plant wheat and I think they're garden plots right quick and in a hurry. Same with some trees. Your wood cutter will clear cut everything fast and you'll have to keep moving it further and further away from your settlement. Planting trees proactively can keep that from happening as fast. Trees do take a while to grow however.
There is English support via the English interface.
