Depending on this update will determine if i will be actually buying this game or not. Im not fond of the release state, nor the demo they had. So. If they actually listen to the community and make the right changes, i will actually buy it. I like using this site to properly try a game before wasting money. I dont have disposable income so what i buy for gaming needs to be worth it.
Sad to hear that. Better to wait for another update. Game is pretty grindy and the new mechanics are pretty rough right now.
Some points
Building bases is a pain as there is no free camera that would allow you to build wide or up. You have to drive your vehicle to get to the point where you want to put the building and foundations
You store items on a building and those have a stack limit and thus you will run out of building space quickly
You can't unlock and craft blocks as you can only gain currency through missions. And those missions get harder. But the missions refresh if you create a new world as the unlocks are shared
You can't build big anymore because they put a reactor points and going over those will make your life difficult
Resource gathering is grindy as some materials would need alot of the same items
They certainly slowed down the progression to an insane degree with the addition of survival mechanics. If youre disappointed if you can't get the game to play. Don't be as this game needs to cook a bit more.

This is similar to Palworld and a problem related to the epic online stuff. You need to go into "game\Engine\Binaries\Win64" And rename or delete "EOSSDK-Win64-Shipping.dll"
Game worked after that. Should also seemingly work for any Epic Games title that crashes on startup.
Edit: Only the Tutorial works. Probably another online check when starting a normal match. Really need the Steam version i guess.
v0.1.5 Ahhh. I think i found a way to by pass the check. when the game is loading(e.g. when click continue).. just stop any of your network interface... then.. the game starts. Not sure if this is working on your PC. But it acturely worked this time for me. Notify me whether you succed or not.
I think their switch to Unreal Engine subtly increased the processing requirements. I barely get 60 fps on my computer when on the old game, I can get it to 60 at max. I think the game is not yet optimized.

- go to windows firewall
- go to outbound rules and create a new rule (on the right at the top of the list)
- Select program
- Select program path and find the launch file for the game
- Select block the connection
- Make sure all boxes are ticked
