This is actually very smart of Sony to release their games on PC eventually. Even more so since they are not paying exorbitant amount of subscription money to Denuvo.
They are practically double-dipping, using the extra money to strengthen their future exclusives.
"RIP PS5" Right, because they haven't had this game way longer than PC has, have already beaten it several times and have moved on to the next game, while PC is only NOW getting it. I believe Guerrilla Games has authority about how they implement DRM instead of being ordered by Sony. Plus porting games from PlayStation to PC is enough of a pain in the a$$, so I highly doubt they'd give a $h!t even if Sony told them to do so.

you need only the base version then the latest update as of this moment. (files are copy and paste meaning, its deleting the other files that were there prior) so you dont need all updates just the latest at this time.
as the released base version would be no longer present on this site. so one could assume this update applies over 1.3 and thus others would be fine to use this update without re downloading the entire thing again? assuming they had the base, the hotfix, and now this release of the patch correct?

did you reset the graphics settings in the launcher? and did you NOT run any virus scans when you downloaded this?? if you did, and ran it after installation, that 100% could cause issues. its almost like a setting somewhere in your *nvidia control panel/new nvidia app, or windows settings is interfering with this game. (you do have "default" set minus what i had said prior correct?
It went back to normal, what I did was remove and reinstall the GPU, including the 8-pin connector. I also removed and reinserted the 3 RAM sticks. Does it make any sense? Obviously not, but it worked. This one goes into the collection of my PC driving me crazy.Still, thank you for the attention and support. I wish only good things for you.
im assuming this "fix" is right before realizing destiny stopped working correctly? or its after, and this solved both issues??? if both issues are solved, i 100% suggest, making sure you support your GPU to ensure nothing is able to "knock" it slightly as its becoming more and more an issue for 3000/4000 series GPUs to crack/etc.

this is what the "app" looks like, i suggest making sure your running the latest GPU driver as well. which is 551.86 to be clear, your running windows 10/11 right?? and not linux or some other form of it?
Antivirus off, real-time protection off, not scanning anything, re-downloaded all files, reinstalled, reset graphics in the launcher, ran tests on GPU 3DMark and FurMark2, everything seems normal, but now Destiny 2 is struggling to maintain above 60 fps on max settings 1080p, which normally ran above 120 fps. However, other games are normal, for example, Sea of Thieves running at a constant 90 fps on max settings 1080p. Something is wrong, and I can't identify what it might be.
do you have a GPU stand? i know a 3060 isnt to heavy, but still. something seems "fucked" since you keep having a similar issue with other games. "power management mode" set that "per game" for ones that struggle. i.e. destiny to "max performance" may not help, but it will push the GPU to as much power as it can give overriding anything windows should be able to tell it. i dont play destiny so i cant compare. perhaps an update occured and has broken something? have you checked forums?
have you updated your bios at all do yourself a major favor. go into bios, hit profiles "SAVE CURRENT PROFILE"!!!!!! then, after saving (save to usb if you feel better about doing so) anyways, after saving. "RESET" bios/clear CMOS or "ENABLE DEFAULTS" and pull that 3rd stick checking performance again. if your "good" put the ram back in, and set your ram speeds/timings back to where they were. (do not reload that saved profile) as something set in there isnt set right. this is one of the easiest ways to see if its a bios issue causing something to happen. *make sure your not hooked up to the "motherboards" HDMI output (or output of any kind) only the GPU.
your FOS unless at 1080p dude, 4070ti little more "HP" vs a 3080. i get 50fps maxed everything (ultra or veryhigh) as high as high can go. with sliders/FOV all the way up. no upscale on 4k. then again, thats not 1080p i suppose.
just played for around an hour (got thru passed the snake) 80/90 fps maxed settings with FG on, FG off with FOV maxed, 60fps 4070ti, 5800x, 32gb of ram. runs better than DD2 (from what i can see) even tho ive already played thru the entire story on PS + it didnt allow for the bonus content to be played. especially cloud gaming to PC. So, i suppose im going to rebeat this, and do the shores DLC. as i dont see an option to jump to it without be lining the story first. either way, thanks IGG. runs great.
Ghost of Tsushima will not require a "crack" so to speak, as was the case for Horizon Forbidden West, or any other Sony ports out there. That's because they don't shill out for expensive DRMs.
I mean it's still going to require a crack. Sony games don't use Denuvo but they use either Steam "protection" or some kind of in house Sony "protection", it's not like Sony is porting games protection free, they aren't GOG after all.
You are correct. Steam does have a DRM that requires cracking or bypassing. But protection-wise it's more akin to a sieve π
Also, Sony have indeed been releasing (a number of) their exclusives DRM-free on GoG as well. Games like Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War 2018, Uncharted, and Days Gone come to mind.

Well I have seen other sites upload the "Full Unlocked" version which is basically just the game files without a crack. EMPRESS has been missing since he was exposed by Codex so I don't see a crack coming from him anytime soon. If a Denuvo-less leak does happen I will laugh my ass off

For whatever reason, reshade is refusing to load on my end. This is so weird, I guess this crack is not compatible with reshade? Do you people were able to activate reshade on this game? I know reshade works because there's a bunch of presets out there already, but on the cracked version of the game, reshade is not loading
reshade works fine, you installed or did something incorrectly when installing. reinstall and select ALL presets for effects install dx11 (not 9) and then it should work.
I did installed the latest version, 6.1.0 + the two default reshades (let me see the names... "standard effects" and "sweetfx by ceejay.dk". I really like reshade, installed it on multiple stuff (even emulators such as yuzu and rpcs3), but the effect is refusing to load on this game. When you press home to open the reshade menu, nothing happens. I do think the coloring in Forbidden West looks fine, but it feels like there's a weird yellow "filter", the colors look yellowish in a way, if I can get rid of that while adding fakehdr... but reshade is not working, it's just sad
i just showed it works, remove and reinstall it with ALL presets selected clicking DIRECT X 11 not vulcan! your game may be running in vulcan not dx11. id check that if i were you as thats likely the issue you face. i also, open the game thru the launcher not by the EXE directly. nor do i run dlss/frame gen while using reshade. (i installed reshade only to test for your case) on this game however, but it indeed works. go to nexus mods, and check for "clear vision" reshade mod, and follow its directions to install it. you need a "config" file inside the games installed location to make reshade work. so, download one even if your not going to use it. then copy paste in the games installed location, then run reshade and open that file. then modify it as you wish.

check for this location, C:\Users\urname\Documents\Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition should be /1203949283457 (random) numbers after edition. if thats not there, i assume u used the torrent version, or you have "controlled folder access" turned on? check please. bc 2 others have this issue who used the torrent download. they never stated if they "turned" off controlled folder access. if its on, turn it off and reinstall the game. (that number up there, isnt the number in mine) i just pushed a bunch of b.s. and afaik you cant find this number anywhere else its unique to your install/save data.
i used the parts (21 or whatever) plus the update file. i had played before updating however. the game comes after defeating the cobra snake thing about an hour into the start of the game.
if you didn get your issue solved, make sure antivirus and any other crap in defender is off along with controlled folder access. most with this issue had antivirus on and it allows the game to install but blocks writing to the drive for saves.

yes, random ass number. if your unable to save. make sure your far enough into the story i.e. beat the first snake viper thing. if not, you have yet got out the tut. campfires are how one saves/fast travels.
so your beyond the starting hour of the game then? you never stated if you checked for this folder? also, need to make sure permissions are correct for this folder if you make it.

if you have the option to reinstall (having the downloads still on your pc) i suggest a full removal and reinstall.
as it seems the "random" numbers are different for near all. and i find nothing in other areas of this games install locations etc.
if you have controlled folder access on, turn that shii off. and reinstall the game. your not going to be able to save since that random number folder isnt there in C:\Users\urname\Documents\Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition(where random numbers folder would be) with screenshot and a text doc for HFW if controlled folder access was on at any point while installing, or extraction, its already done its damage. controlled folder access mess permissions up in alot of games. is it me, or did this "patch" update make the game run worse? 4070ti, 5800x, 32gb 4x8 sticks. ran 50-60fps in a dense area prior. same spot now, runs 30/40ish fps. and some strange shake/stutter..ish? camera stuff with controller and fg on. FG off, 30fps in this area, no shakey cam issues. but it sure does seem like performance is worse.
no way on earth id have a 5800x and 4070ti putting games on a HDD (or any of the 2.5 ssds) i have (for higher) end games. its installed on a 2tb 8200sx pro prior to adata swapping the chips out to the slower b.s. they pulled. game runs fine, just had issues in that one area. running at 4k maxed out wasnt helping with FOV slid all the way right.

wdym, are you extracting all together or part by part? extract all together. use megaup to download the last file. and only do parts 1-21 then after. launch your game. "run for a moment" then download the update files (1 by 1) and extract, copy, paste inside the games installed location.
if your having issues with only one part, your antivirus software is likely interfering with your downloads. to which, turn that shit off and re download. also
USE WINRAR ONLY! as its not "7zip" which only tells you "part (last part) is bad. winrar will state which exact part is fucked up.
wish to add, use a download manager. IDM (internet download manager) XDM (sourceforge/google is your source) jdwnloader (j downloader) that way your download wont break. again, download all 1-21 parts without any antivirus protection (ALL TICKS IN ANTIVIRUS OFF) then download. check in your virus blocking location for any files that have been blocked. also, maybe wise to check that chrome/mozilla/edge/brave havent blocked the file by "super safe browsing methods" being turned on.
yes, if the updates linked in any downloads, it need updated. the base game is the 21 parts youll download first. then the 1.2.48 is the update patch (download, extract, copy replace) yadada. 2 years you know the drill.
???? what link did you use dude? i downloaded this the other day and had zero issues updating to 1.2.48 use megaup. just checked, notta thing wrong with it. shows 1.2.48 file. *it says 1.1.48 IGNORE it and download, extract, copy and paste into your games directory (overwrite) just ignore it. i failed to see that small issue. doesnt halt the game working. last edit, prior update was 1.1.47 thus this new file even labeled wrong, is the right file indeed.

download it from up above. i first commented on "bought" steam games which works only if one purchase it so i had to correct that. im not sure how one goes about installing the "language packs" above but they are there. if yours isnt present. its possibly not supported in the actual game. or you need to request it here
Can someone help? I don't know what to do anymore. The game was running smoothly at an average of 50 to 70 fps, but suddenly it started struggling to even reach 30 fps, regardless of the graphic settings, even when everything is set to minimum at 800x600 resolution.I just haven't tried reinstalling yet.
It has issues if you change anything in graphical settings. Wasn't a problem before hotfix, so now you either change something and restart the game, or don't touch it
Dialogues aren't fixed for me. It's either 50 fps or 20. Depends on luck, I guess.

80GB? or 8 gb 1x8 or 2x4? have you tried upscaling? did you install the update? do you use a controller? when you load into the game are you loading "last save" or have you tried to manually load the save prior to the last thing you done?? did you add any mods/scripts to your game? modded a save file in?? or anything other than playing normal? you can try to (make a copy first) then delete this file and see what you yield after. (delete all inside the folder except your latest save so your saved games not lost, unless your not far into the story) C:\Users\urpcname\Documents\Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition\76561198636308959 *numbers at the end, are random but thats the location for save data. i cant not find the config file for settings/display etc.
it may be worthy to reinstall your GPU driver OR checking nvidias app/gforce app to see if its manually taking over settings. *if you indeed only have 8gb of vram its best your NOT running anything else in the background. or try pulling task manager. go to details section, find horizons exe running and setting its priority to high then realtime if neither of those work check your launcher settings. has two tabs like this.
upscaling method seems to be turned off? do you run this game from the launcher first? and then it offers you to "play" then the game launches? open the launcher, and hit "reset" and see what that brings. *and do be sure to go into antivirus software, and open "add/remove" exclusions. adding one for this game. (youll have to hit add exclusion and hit "folder" from the drop down menu)
nvidia control panel, adding this game there and manually setting it to "max" performance could help.
but, not having windows defender overlook this games install location possibly removed some stuff upon rebooting. (all cracked games need an exclusion) folder or itll remove files. "game works, but runs horribly" due to removable of steam.ini/steam cfg etc.

when you installed this other ram stick, i assume you used tm5, memtest, ycruncher to make sure its stable? have you tried removing one stick to see if its causing issues?? (not likely but random case with you.)
do you still have the prior downloads so you can revert this update?? * i had less performance on my 5800x-4070ti-32gb (3200c14)oc 3800c14 * after updating to this patch. i didn have the revert files. also, did you check the FOV slider?? and the game has a launcher. change all your settings from there to ensure its overriding the game instead of the game duping the launcher somehow.
is that 66 watts for the GPU?????????? that doesnt seem right.. if you still have the downloads or the extraction folder for install. re install. save data will be fine may wanna copy it to a safe spot. then pull it into the new folder incase those random numbers change.
your pc didnt get set to some kind of battery saver b.s. did it? where it lowers cpu clocks (ya your clock seems fine) but it lowers all clocks that are not present on your overlay.
was this on the released version? theres another update but i dont believe anyone has requested in UPLOADS section of IGG yet. (havent checked either) but, perhaps some googling will give some info to if its something to do with your CPU/GPU setup.
i honestly believe you should try disabling that extra stick of 16gb of ram. could be impacting PCI performance in some way do to a coding issue in how this game runs. never know.
I also noticed that the 66 watts caught my attention. I tried adjusting the settings in MSI by setting it to 58% or 105%, but it didn't make any difference either. The 16GB RAM is configured to be used only by some programs that take advantage of more memory like After Effects, C4D, Ember. My system doesn't have any power limiter, the power supply is 1200W. I work with 3D animation, so my PC is always set to full performance mode.
But as I said, the game was running normally without the update, then I restarted the PC and it stopped working (there was no Windows update or any new program added or updated). I installed the update to see if it would fix the problem, but it made no difference. I've tried reinstalling it, and now I'm finishing downloading a multi-version I found on Skidrowcodex to see if it works, but I'm without hope.
I don't know, but it seems to me that the game forces the GPU to 100% and limits it to sub-30fps literally regardless of any graphical modifications, as if the game ran normally with a constant -40fps debuff.
Plus, the game ran well until shortly after unlocking the flying mount. I'm literally on the last mission of the main campaign.
here is where i meant to check for a setting being changed. as windows will do so without you knowing sometimes. and also check here. right click on windows, display, scroll down to graphics and see if the game was added. bc its almost like the game switched to "BUILT IN ON BOARD" graphics. as 60 watts makes sense!
you could also go into your game graphics settings and make dam sure its set to use the GPU (3060) and not intels horrible on board shit. (bios options might be set to allow it as well) im on amd so idk what setting on intel one needs to switch off in bios as its different for amd/intel and board makers. but thats indeed what it looks like.
P.S. i checked in game settings, it seems there is no way to tell the game to run on external GPU inside the game. SO windows has indeed took over and told it to run on the CPU/APU side of things. which power, ram, bus, and temps all add up to say "thats it" set in windows, and in nvidia control panel as "run on 3060" for physx etc. (assuming you know what i mean) as you seem like you should.
It could be, but if the game were running on integrated graphics, it wouldn't make sense for the GPU to be at 100%, plus the 3060 has a TDP of 170W if I'm not mistaken. Also, the CPU wouldn't be at 37% usage either.

no, no need. if antivirus is on when your running this game from IGG then your indeed causing issues. (all cracked games will raise false flags) in windows. as well its a cracked game. add an exclusion in windows defender for where your install of this game is! i assume you know how to do this?
I don't have antivirus; I have malware and spyware analysis software. So whenever I download anything, I run it through it to see what threats there are and which ones are false positives.

when your in the launcher, do you adjust it down to actually accommodate for an APU? how much ram are you running? as itll tie directly into your 4650g. also, it possibly wouldnt hurt to tell windows and the amd software to open using the "graphics" "card" (apu) so its not checking for a dGPU. from what i see, 1280/720 super low presets, with upscaling on and 16gb of ram is what im seeing. *dual channel recommended for amd apu if you aim to actually play. 30fps isnt great, but itll play...

it doesnt take that long, at least with a 5800x 32gb of ram. id say you have a bad part downloaded. or something of that sort. please use winrar to extract in case a parts bad so winrar will tell you which is bad. make sure antivirus is turned off.

DDU isnt needed anymore unless your going from AMD to nvidia or nvidia to amd. if youve ever used CRU to edit your monitor to make it work with freesync etc DDU will remove all that. make sure gsync or nvidia app is updated and drivers are upto date too.

then again, 3000 cards dont have it usually but starfield indeed does on 2000/3000 gpus. never the less, if up scaling with FG is on. turn off FG. id bet your running out of vram. which is what my 4070ti does on hogwarts legacy.
Have you upgraded your Nvidia driver? The latest version includes a specific patch for HFW.
Also as a side note; having gotten similar crashes in other games, never upgrade your GPU driver directly. First remove it in safe mode using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller, a freeware) and then install the new version.
the update patch supposedly fixes this i never had this issue until i updated. i use ds4w. but playing this, i just plugged my controller in. was dead anyways. performance is worse for me with the patch.
After downloading all the files, it is impossible to start the installation of the game. It says the file is probably damaged except I downloaded 3 different file to be safe with no result
use winrar to assist with what roosevelt stated. 7zip doesnt tell you what part is messed up. either your antivirus is screwing with the game, you downloaded all this and ran out of space to actually install the game, or its indeed corrupted parts of the files needed. needless to state. ive played this cracked version for over an hour now, without issues maxed settings. so, it does indeed work. jus gotta find the missing link.
Are you getting errors while extracting .rar files or while installing the game? to make it easier, you should take a screenshot of that error, we or someone here can make it easier for you if we know the details.
hello i have the same issue at installing and would really apreciate some help i downloaded with utorrent in 1 file it said seeding so it should all be there i also have 160 gb space with the utorrent file downloaded so space should be a problem either so if you know how to fix this it would make my weekend it also was like 440 percent done when it happened
Turn off AV when installing, maybe it was blocked coping crack files while installing.
Try removing spaces or special characters in the installation path.
Are you installing on an external hard drive? I'm not sure, but I've seen a few cases where users were unable to install large games on external hard drives.
hey, just one thing. when installing this make a "games" folder. and install it to that. i.e. G:\Games\Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition thats how it is on my system at this time the drive i downloaded this too is 2tb. which ran out of space after downloading (alot of games) so i installed to another location. making sure antivirus is "excluding" the folder where you want the game to go, and the downloads folder where IGG or cracked games are downloaded. ive had errors come before by not making a folder before the game installation or having one prior.
give this a try, and lmk if that solves it. also, make sure the installer is running as admin and the drive indeed has permissions so that admin can install, and the installer is permissible. unlikely thats the issue with permissions. but never hurts to check.
one last thing, you say you have space. was that before downloading, extracting and trying to install. or you have more than 120gb after full extraction???

no, that picture you showed was not the same path i had. as you had D/Horizon forbidden west. i had D/games/HFW to which, you stated it failed.
when you extracted this, did you use 7ZIP, winrar, or that jank ass native windows extraction tool? winrar is best to tell you if a parts fd up. honestly im also curious to if these other drives are "removable" usb drives or such? if they are, that is an issues in itself.
either way, before re downloading all this. download winrar from igg (yea its old, but its cracked) so no popup about buying. and use it to extract the downloads you already have. to be 100%clear you are grabbing 1-21 (i think 21) and extracting all those at the same time?
bc you can just grab 1 and do this and the installer will pop up but will error out too.

if your drives 220gb total left. downloads are like 60. extraction is 100.. install is 120. thats quite a bit more than 220. i 100% believe you have something still turned on check it. (show that you do not) as i have exhausted all possible known reasons a game will not install. there has to be something your missing on your end.
i dont think redownloading is the issue. re extracting should show if an error is there. it should come up after winrar is finished. are you extracting "files" "here" or to "folder" made for what your extracting? still doesnt make sense. is your pc specs upto snuff to handle this game? also, do you have controlled folder access turned on by chance? if so, turn that shit off.

this is one of my last replies about this the torrent indeed is giving people issues 100% (*i suspect the first pic is you) but there are many others, if you translate even those are having issues with this installation.
so, use parts. follow a "cracked" install guid (what ive already told you) and play the game. if you go check, youll see half of the comments are mentioning install errors. good luck! if parts do work, be sure to notify a mod in faq on the torrent site. so they can check into the error going on.

(found here ) bc if its not itll interfere with the install and your saves once it does install. just had an issue with another user who used the torrent download who couldnt save after getting their install to work was WD at work there. either way, make sure windows defender and any other virus software on your machine is off including malware bytes etc are turned off. i do believe its torrent issues. as a few others have had this same issue. a few had the game install, but werent able to save which those cases were antivirus allowing the install but not allowing saves to take place. controlled folder access does the exact same. parts is what i used, and everyone else who comes to this site. as the torrent sites not on this link of IGG. use the parts, make 1000000% sure your antivirus is OFF not just antivirus, realtime protection, dev drive protection, cloud-delivered protection, auto sample submission, tamper protection controlled folder access are OFF and do add an exclusion folder for the downloads from IGG. its inside your antivirus settings just here.
if this doesnt solve your issue, your not doing one of these steps. antivirus off, no controlled folder access on, and adding exclusions for cracked downloads.
The game files are installed on an internal SSD and my configuration is higher than that recommended by the game. But after downloading everything, I extract the games as usual to have a single folder that gathers all the games together and then I run the game installer. But this one does not work and besides when I want to extract, it does not extract all the files but only the one on which I make the right click even though all the files are selected.
I guess you are not too familiar with using torrents, with new torrents and many people downloading them, after adding torrents to the client, you should wait about 3-5 minutes, you will receive peer, bro. It depends on your region and network. Currently my torrent client is connecting to more than 3000 peers, not including seeders.
hit or miss with mega. sometimes the same download would be 2mbs. sometimes .95 (limited to 2mbs x2 downloads at a time) but i believe its being hit the most now days. since megaup is indeed the fastest download server that hosts here now.

launch your game. "run for a moment"
then download the update files (1 by 1) and extract,
copy, paste inside the games installed location.
if your having issues with only one part, your

It has issues if you change anything in graphical settings. Wasn't a problem before hotfix, so now you either change something and restart the game, or don't touch it
Dialogues aren't fixed for me. It's either 50 fps or 20. Depends on luck, I guess.

But as I said, the game was running normally without the update, then I restarted the PC and it stopped working (there was no Windows update or any new program added or updated). I installed the update to see if it would fix the problem, but it made no difference. I've tried reinstalling it, and now I'm finishing downloading a multi-version I found on Skidrowcodex to see if it works, but I'm without hope.
I don't know, but it seems to me that the game forces the GPU to 100% and limits it to sub-30fps literally regardless of any graphical modifications, as if the game ran normally with a constant -40fps debuff.
Plus, the game ran well until shortly after unlocking the flying mount. I'm literally on the last mission of the main campaign.
as windows will do so without you knowing sometimes.

added. bc its almost like the game switched to "BUILT IN ON BOARD"

intel one needs to switch off in bios as its different for

there is no way to tell the game to run

windows has indeed took over and told it
to run on the CPU/APU side of things.

Also as a side note; having gotten similar crashes in other games, never upgrade your GPU driver directly. First remove it in safe mode using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller, a freeware) and then install the new version.

either your antivirus is screwing with the game,
you downloaded all this and ran out of space to actually
install the game, or its indeed corrupted parts of the files
needed. needless to state. ive played this cracked version
for over an hour now, without issues maxed settings. so,
it does indeed work. jus gotta find the missing link.
i downloaded with utorrent in 1 file it said seeding so it should all be there
i also have 160 gb space with the utorrent file downloaded so space should be a problem either
so if you know how to fix this it would make my weekend it also was like 440 percent done when it happened

antivirus is "excluding" the folder where you want the game
to go, and the downloads folder where IGG
or cracked games are downloaded.

also, make sure the installer is running as admin
and the drive indeed has permissions so that
admin can install, and the installer is permissible.
