@For newbie: Don't forget crack before launching the game (otherwise you will get the "no license" error). By doing one of the following:

i get wacatac.b!m from explorer patcher that i use to change win11 explorer to "feel" like parts of win 7/10 and whatever i want really. nearly all "cracks" or "not signed" files will have a flag in antivirus software. especially stuff that bypasses licenses. place the games you download from here into an "excluded" folder. Else you'll be back crying about "why isnt the game working, its telling me i dont own it" windows will block files being downloaded and not tell you about it. If your downloading a game from here however, and its "EXE" and NOT a .rar. or "7zip" type file (mostly rar) then you downloaded the wrong thing and should remove/not install any "exe" period.
EXAMPLE: 10 parts to x game, 9 parts are downloaded, all are .rar, the 10th is a "exe" download. remove that 10th part, and re download making sure the download file matches the size your supposed to be downloading. either way, the games themselves from here, ive been using for 5 years now or longer without any apparent issues. Your choice, but dont get confused and not play bc of a false positive.
Is anyone else having an issue getting their controller to work? I have a switch pro controller and run the game through steam and have tried all the known fixes but haven't been able to get it to wrok
Just finished the game and started NG+. Had no issues at all during the playthrough, everything went smoothly. Although, when I installed the update, it took quite a while and made me wonder if it was stuck. Maybe it because the update was checking the file hash multiple times during installation. So no need to worry, just let it be.
Another thing is that YouTubers are exaggerating when they say this game is similar to Sekiro and that it's just as challenging. but honestly, it's nothing like Sekiro. The game is actually quite easy, except for a few expectations like Simon's 2nd phase. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying the game is bad. In fact, it's an amazing game and I enjoyed it to the fullest. However, it just doesn't give you that satisfaction of being stuck on a boss for hours and finally beating them, like in Sekiro. If you're struggling with any boss, it's probably because you haven't fully grasped the game's mechanics yet. Also, the throwable items in this game are really overpowered, so don't hesitate to use them. They're easy to buy or farm as well.
Lastly, it's a really nice game and you should definitely give it a try. Have fun!
