My pc's 4gb but still can't play it , It says error when starting it. Currently playing the lightspeed ed. but there's allot of difference. Also you might want to try the lightspeed might work on you.
I think you might need to update the files you have for this game. There's an issue with the bridge not displaying portraits of any characters when they visit the station and/or attack you. As well as a recall bug. Checking the official steam forums, both problems seem to be caused by corrupt download/installs. Perhaps it's just my pc tho? Anyone else able to see portraits of the aliens during dialog segments?
For anyone having a problem with the "Load Error". 1.Go into your Smartsteamemu.config file and then copy all of it. 2.If you another game with the Smartsteamemu or you can probably download it,go into it's Smartsteamemu.config and paste all of the previous data into it. 3.Now copy the smartsteamemu files including the launcher,steam.api etc. 4.Replace it with the H6 ones. Voila
For it to work, replace the directory SmartSteamEmu and the files Launcher.exe, SmartSteamEmu.dll, SmartSteamEmu64.dll from a working game with smartsteam. I copied from Alicemare available here for mine.

Potentially Outdated 0.1.0.2 is available. (not here though) Beaten the boss with party: Gallant - Ranger - Magus (started with Science officer). Strategically, you'll save up a ton of Dark Matter with 2 (1.5 in fact) healers in your team. Tactically, Vulnerable combo works so well and Engine combo is wonky. The timing must be right: Full T2 fleet before going to New Terra, 2 T3 ship + Magus (1200 heal for each ship: 1200 ~ 2 hits from Chimera) Dream team ofc is (all T3 ships): Gallant - Ranger - Witch. Starting with Science officer is difficult at first, you'll need time to build up a full fleet to defend against Chruul.
Yeah, even with T2, the vulnerable combo can do over 1000 damage. I stopped after T2 and downloaded a trainer, and beat it with inf. health. This game is ridiculous to beat, and congrats on beating it with a starter as scientist. I only had one healer, and would never have gotten to that status at all. The boss does 600 damage minimum at least without combos, and with 9000+ health, there is no hope for me to do it legitimately.
All T1 ships: the best party is: Warder - Marksman - Acolyte (neat synergy) the problem is you'll be given a Knight / Rogue / Acolyte as starting ship.
All T2 ships: the best party is: Crusader - Archer - Magus the second best party is: Guardian - Archer - Sorcerer
Let's try the "fewer invaders" update. They got solid basic but meh fighting and I hate to say this, but they really overhyped stuff in KS and I felt disappointed mostly because of that.
Remember to destroy Churl portals or you'll have a hard time.
You'll be given 1 powerful skill from a quest (use it sparely).
Fixed - Bug or Feature? Your officers will be locked at level 4 until you make a tier 2 ship.
