Some prefere to find out what you have to do, some like to get told what to do. Calling the game bland, empty and boring VERY clearly impicates you didnt take any time to explore the world. It's probably just not your type of game which is totally fine, really. Just imagine how bad it would be if there is only 1 taste of ... whatever girls, ice-cream .... you may think of. Or imagine there was never a gpu, just 1 country doing (just text-based) games, only for propaganda to join their army.

just try and hope for the best on different games. usually a google search will pull up multiplayer fixes on cracked games, if there is one. not always though. thats one of the cons. I dont play for multiplayer. if i do or want to support the devs i buy. to answer your other question yes, might mean your graphics card cant handle the game. not like you are missing anything though. its the same fetch this fetch that build this if you want kind of thing. the game is pretty shallow. not my cup of tea but it might be for others. just sick of the barebones games that come out. the years coming will be shitty for games. stories are a different ball game though. those should be interesting.

So I didn't trust the steamclient_loader.exe that ships with it (too many virustotal positives) so I compiled it from the source code thats available (and safe) from gitlab. My version is only 16kb (vs 99kb) and only has 3 virustotal positives. It works as well!
For your information: The program changes your Steam registry to use the provided steam dlls, not the original ones. Once the game closes it changes it back to the original ones. It also creates a fake steam user and puts the game's appid into the games environment variable. These things have nothing to do with the registry though.
Important: In the case of a power outage when you don't shut down the game properly you have to run the game again and close it properly before you can normally use your Steam client. Otherwise you might get some errors or whatever, I have not tried it.
EDIT: It seems the crack simply wasn't applied. It's now fixed in the mod post above :)
Game now gives an error when using the steamclient_loader.exe on the current uploaded version (Hotfix #10):
"Application load error 3:0000065432"
I don't know the cause with any certainty, or any long-term issues that may arise from this, but I found a solution that worked for me. It will require you to download a program and modify the enshrouded.exe. I am not responsible if you somehow damage your PC.
Solution:
Download the Steamless zip from the github link below and extract it somewhere.
Read the instructions in the below imgur image carefully. If you don't know how to enable file extensions, follow the instructions below for Windows 10. If you have Windows 11, I'm sure you can find it on Google.

Question here for everyone: Does your game crash to desktop when you quit the game to the main menu? I've tried multiple solutions and nothing has worked. Sometimes it crashes when I quit the game as well. I have the latest update too.

I agree. This is not Hotfix #5 as it states in the title. It is in fact, Hotfix #1. The build number shows 487046 for me as well on the title screen. As of now, Hotfix #7 is out as well.

When I go to join a multiplayer game, no servers show up. Regardless if steam is open or not. Did you get yours to work? Do your Gportal servers pop up?
Why not just look it up on youtube and see for yourself. To me it looks more like the typical survival game just without any of the nuance that makes them their own game. ARK has dinos, Conan has lore and slaves, this,,,, after watching it on youtube it was just meh IMHO.

I wouldn't really consider it a souls like. It might have some aspects of it like dodge rolls, however, I think that's pretty much it. I would say, it's basically what it's tagged as on Steam, an open world, base building, crafting, survival game. I played the demo and really enjoyed my time with it, so I'm looking forward to what they're going to do with the game and how they're going to build upon what's already there. Personally, I'd say it's worth checking out.
