So, Gamepass crashes a LOT.

Multiplayer is limited to 4 people if it works at all.
Spawns locations are different, not all but about 50% of spawn locations are different.
Prerequisites for some items are different and more lax compared to steam.

The game is "OK", it's NOT the second coming like so many people make it out to be. The novelty will wear off despite the initial frenzy over it. If the devs release a modkit that will however change a lot. Yes I know I've seen the sales figures, the hype is stupid strong but nobody has released the refund figures yet and steam has BURIED the reviews that show the game has been refunded.
It runs great on my pc at High settings, Radeon RX 5700 XT/Ryzen 5 3600. I take really good care of my stuff so your mileage may vary.
I've only played online with my daughter so no idea what it's like on actual servers.

it seems to me that the server software isn't included in this download, so you should be able to join other player's servers but not host your own. I haven't tested this yet though.
I have checked the torrents and only 1.5.1 is an updater. You have to redownload the game for the previous updates including 1.5.0. And usually torrents matches the update for the hosted download files.

Remember to follow the entire path of the "Engine" folder and open the "force_account_name.txt" to add your nickname. And the "force_language.txt" put the desired language.
they don't check comments for requests. they have to be made on the requests page. make your requests there and it will get updated MUCH faster as they will see how many actually want it!

Did you make sure to click the "copy crack into install directory" in the installer, or manually copy the crack files into the game folder? You'll get an error similar to this if you forget to do one or the other.
You should: extract v0.1.4.0 again, then install the update. And remember, the last step, copy everything in "crack" folder, and paste them into your game'dir before launching it.

Look, I understand people have their own personal preference. But I was under the impression this game was the Creme de le Crop... 2 MILLION players at once on Steam. That's an all time record. So a lot of people think this game is the best thing since sliced bread. I figured I would try before I buy and i'm not impressed. It's just another crafting/economy/survival simulator except now it has Pokemon. I thought it was just Pokemon with guns but I was gravely mistaken. No, this is basically Ark Survival... the most boring game of all time.
It never once advertised itself as "Pokemon with guns." That was a meme that people applied to it. It was always advertised as an Ark style survival game.
That said, the first 25 minutes aren't enough to get a sense of what the game offers. Once you start getting into capturing and breeding Pals and have everything automated, something Ark does not have, it is a lot better. It becomes closer to Pokemon than Ark at that point.

But that would be an incorrect and unfair assessment. It is much more. It is how people who grew up playing Pokemon imagined it in their minds. I've sunk nearly 30 hours in it and I can see why it has become so popular. And this is coming from someone who doesn't even like the survival genre.

For people wondering, yes, you can update your previous 0.1.2.0 to version 0.1.3.0. This update is only ~32 Megabytes in size so it isn't really worth redownloading the whole thing.
However, if you want to download the update only, you have to look for it in another famous Russian forum.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you've downloaded your original 0.1.2.0 from IGG, it will be the build "B13214634". You can't update that build directly to 0.1.3.0 (most likely) and it will give you the "incorrect hash" error. You must first update the build "B13214634" to build "B13218815" which itself requires a ~220 Megabytes of update. This update is also available on that forum.
So to sum it up, if you have IGG's 0.1.2.0, first update it to build "B13218815" and then apply the 0.1.3.0 update.
Hey man, if you're just redownloading the game for update dont worry about save file. I played during v0.1.2.0 and had to redownload for the update. Turns out its fine. All my save files are intact. My solo world is still there and my ID in other severs remain the same. Basically without save file you have to start over.
You know how the game if flying off if even the comment section here is full of people. I would say that if you like survival crafting games then you can definitely give this game a try.
I'd say what looked like a meme game at first and looking at all the mechanics and features for an early access game definitely had me surprised. If dont want to use "OnlineFix64.dll" because you dont mind download all the time the whole game or because you fear that you can be banned or damaged on your steam account or you play just local do this. Copy and paste the file "tbb.dll" or another dll in the same folder and rename it "OnlineFix64.dll". Block the game with your firewall et voilà, the game dont mind and you can play.
open windows defender, go to well here just follow the pics dude. (seems the screenshots dont show the mfn mouse anymore) open defender, go to -MANAGE SETTINGS scroll all the way down to "exclusions" -hit add on the drop down, hit folder add the download folder of the game or add an exclusions folder for your entire download list for crack games (the location where all your cracked games go)
p.s. one can always take the easy way out and turn off antivirus but, when turning back on without that "add exclusions" in place, defender will eventually scan the folder and delete cracked shit bc thats what it does. (always make sure controlled folder access is off in ransomware. or else itll stop alot of cracked/non cracked (purchased games/software) from saving stuff to your drives.
i dont know this "onlinefix" your talking about as i purchased the legit copy when the game released. online fix dot me hasnt updated their fix, so im clueless as to what error your getting. if you dont have all the updates then thats a reason why.
you may need to redownload the fix or update/updates that are broken again. without antivirus turned on.
if you have "controlled folder access" on thats another issue if you dont have the files/folder your trying to use added as an exclusion thats an issue. turn off your antivirus, and try again. if it works, you didnt add the "exclusion" to the proper spot or added the exclusion to a file/folder that wasnt right.
just noticed windows added some new shit check under app & browser control and scoll down to look where it says potentially unwanted app blocking and look at protection history. if what your trying to allow is in this, then turn it off it may not have fuck all to do with it. but microsofts antivirus b.s. is getting out of hand with all the hidden things they keep adding.

since the damages already done, it would be wiser to re download while the exclusions in place however. as windows will block files from ever being downloaded sometimes.

Followed what little instructions there are exactly, issue is that the updater says it patches the files, goes to finish up and close, but never closes, making task manager the only way to close it. It seems to ALWAYS create a backup folder even when the box is unchecked, and when "verify hash" is left checked, it only tries to do that step after closing it through task manager.
it will just SIT there for half an hour if left alone, and after "patching" the game to v0.1.5.1 from v0.1.5.0, moving the cracked exe over and replacing the old one, it no longer launches the game, and instead gives an error.
And I keep putting "patch" in quotes because as far as I can tell, it's not doing anything, and NO, it's not my antivirus interfering, I've had it off every time I've tried patching the game with the updater.
When i launch the .exe it says "im missing Visual studio C++" i've installed every version both x86 and x64. but i only get a black screen as the program is frozen. maybe it doesn't work inside a Virtual Machine?
Hello, everybody! First, thank you for your hard work! ; In regards to the game updates, can someone explain what am I missing? I have to reinstall the game for every update, sure. But somehow the new files (version 1. something) aren't appearing here.
I believe you downloaded the game while the updater link was up. Sometimes instead of updating the main download right away, they'll leave it as-is for a while and instead link to an updater. It's a little confusing, but I imagine it's a godsend for anyone on a slow connection. Sometime in the past few days they updated the main file to v0.1.4.1 and removed the updater link, so you might just have to redownload it.
There was briefly an update link from v0.1.4.0 to v0.1.4.1, but I'm pretty sure there aren't any updaters currently. Your save files shouldn't be located in the game folder, so you can just download the new version and continue where you left off. You may want to backup your save file just in case, though. Windows 11 should put it in AppData/Local/Pal, other OSes may put it somewhere else.
EDIT: I found the v0.1.4.1 updater in my site history. I don't know if it'll work for v0.1.2, but I'll give you the link if you want to try it.
If you get this error, here's what I did to fix it :
I deleted and "reinstalled" 0.1.4.0 and restarted my PC. I didn't load Chrome or anything else, to free memory. I installed patch 0.1.4.1 and pointed the install to the Palworld folder. It worked!
Now, copy the "crack" content and overwrite and you just patched your game.
Ditto. In my case, I didn't realize the patcher didn't apply the crack automatically, so since I happened to have the original install files kicking around in my recycle bin I reinstalled the game before remembering to manually copy/paste the crack files over from the patcher. So I'm uncertain if the patcher works after you've already cracked it, but I can attest that the patcher works on a fresh install provided you remember to copy/paste the crack files.
On the bright side, Palworld doesn't keep its save files inside the game folder, so you can manipulate the game folder however you want without having to worry too much about losing progress. That said, as a general reminder, it's always good practice to backup your saves between updates. Palworld keeps its save files in "C:\Users(YourAccount)\AppData\Local\Pal", at least on Windows 11.
Download again and just extract the files over your existing copy of the game. There is no way to "update" as almost all of the game is packed into 1 big file.
With how much they've sold already, they've got enough money to hire great lawyers and extend it to a couple of weeks. Or better yet, settle out of court by paying Game Freak their share of the pie! 😄

Finally getting a solid version released as downloads is great, instead of having to jump through hoops with an inhouse updater that (despite what a lot of you are saying, no.) doesn't work, finally able to play again, with all the big updates that just dropped too.
Can confirm this 2.0.6 -> 2.1.0 update works properly for solo and multi play. Yes its slow, BUT its way faster than waiting for a new upload here and then downloading another ~16G.

I believe you quite literally stated what your issue is then. HDD speeds are 100% killing your gaming fun for sure. not to mention "not" meeting min requirements is another issue within itself. (one could run it with a mod that makes the game look bad) bad or not tho, id take works over not anyday.
have you tested what another user shared in comments below? the update file not sure if its just reuploaded from igg by a user, or if they cracked it themselves as its not "to hard" but still not easy. tools are accessible and since "one scene" group stopped cracking DRM they shared most their cracking software/secretes to be used.
Never the less, worth a shot i suppose. if not, ignore the update. or buy a cheap SSD or NVME if your motherboard allow an nvme ssd. (sata nvme) would be the same as an ssd so not ideal. Considering your under spec for this game, i dont believe your issue is fixable without someone else who had this issue. and were able to solve it with some other work around.
Ok, so the first time you tried. you had unticked that box? if so, leave it ticked and run it with the two boxes it has out the gate ticked. i included what it is, "verify hash" is the same as checksum in most instances. but leave it ticked on this time around, if you always unticked it.
not sure you got passed this issue yet, if not. (again, i own this game so im not using the cracked version anymore at least) ima ask if you get an option for "MD5" checksum, or anything similar?
actually nvm i downloaded just the update and i can clearly see you have checksum error option uncheck this if you havent. Giving this a go. as ive encountered this issue on other patches of other games. this can indeed solve it. not sure you tried this, but im not "searching" thru this entire thread for your replies to others.
also, where ever your MAIN install location is, be 100% sure your selecting that with the patcher, also. PASTE this patcher into your main directory location if unticking checksum doesnt work, or your sure the install location is working. as this will run it from where the games installed. (yes, does indeed work on other games) used to this was the only way to update a game.
-I.E. kingdom come deliverance (update/patches) wouldnt apply via GOG crack for me, unless i pasted the patches inside the installation directory manually and ran them that way (or extracting in the games installed directory). one of these 3 things SHOULD fix your issue.
check comments above, someone linked some updates. im not sure how "trustworthy" these links are as they are not igg uploads. But it is what you asked for, it would be wiser to redownload the 4 part main download, extract, then download the update that was recently released here. that way your not mixing versions from another crack/patch that may not be compatible.

Have you made sure your not missing a recent update, or that your opening the correct exe location? (some matter, being 2 years here i assume you know this as well). I should expect you tried to manually copy the "crack" contents to the games directory correct?
key important notice, if you have mods installed or modded the game in any way, REVERT THIS as its seemingly happening alot to users who run mods and update their games with cracked versions.
when did you "first" download your copy of the game from IGG? im not sure your aware, but this game has been reuploaded with different versions several times. to which, the 4 part main download, and the update go together and the update patch will NOT work with any other main "patch/downloads" prior to this uploaded/released cracked version. i suggest a redownload of the original parts (main) then the patch. (FIRST) run the main, to make dam sure its working as intended. *(yes, im aware you played the game prior, thats not to say a new install will "work" without a hitch) then after verifying the base/main game UPDATE "patch" with "copy" contents selected if there is one.

It is the binary difference between two versions of a file.
One can create an xdelta patch using DeltaPatcher
But in a way you are also correct, no xdelta patch has been uploaded, so technically it does not exist (yet).

That said, the first 25 minutes aren't enough to get a sense of what the game offers. Once you start getting into capturing and breeding Pals and have everything automated, something Ark does not have, it is a lot better. It becomes closer to Pokemon than Ark at that point.

Plaworld looks like an interesting survival adventure game.
But that would be an incorrect and unfair assessment. It is much more. It is how people who grew up playing Pokemon imagined it in their minds.
I've sunk nearly 30 hours in it and I can see why it has become so popular. And this is coming from someone who doesn't even like the survival genre.
It copies ideas and mechanics from Pokemon, Zelda, Conan Exiles and Ark Survival and adds a bit of indie charm/jank to them.
It surprisingly works and scratches an itch that no other game out there has done so far.
However, if you want to download the update only, you have to look for it in another famous Russian forum.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you've downloaded your original 0.1.2.0 from IGG, it will be the build "B13214634". You can't update that build directly to 0.1.3.0 (most likely) and it will give you the "incorrect hash" error.
You must first update the build "B13214634" to build "B13218815" which itself requires a ~220 Megabytes of update.
This update is also available on that forum.
So to sum it up, if you have IGG's 0.1.2.0, first update it to build "B13218815" and then apply the 0.1.3.0 update.

and turn off antivirus but, when turning back on

will eventually scan the folder and delete cracked shit

Excluding it after it has been quarantined doesn't restore the file, you still have to do that part manually.

this has been my 8th time trying it
it will just SIT there for half an hour if left alone, and after "patching" the game to v0.1.5.1 from v0.1.5.0, moving the cracked exe over and replacing the old one, it no longer launches the game, and instead gives an error.
And I keep putting "patch" in quotes because as far as I can tell, it's not doing anything, and NO, it's not my antivirus interfering, I've had it off every time I've tried patching the game with the updater.
i've installed every version both x86 and x64. but i only get a black screen as the program is frozen. maybe it doesn't work inside a Virtual Machine?

I deleted and "reinstalled" 0.1.4.0 and restarted my PC.
I didn't load Chrome or anything else, to free memory.
I installed patch 0.1.4.1 and pointed the install to the Palworld folder.
It worked!
Now, copy the "crack" content and overwrite and you just patched your game.
On the bright side, Palworld doesn't keep its save files inside the game folder, so you can manipulate the game folder however you want without having to worry too much about losing progress. That said, as a general reminder, it's always good practice to backup your saves between updates. Palworld keeps its save files in "C:\Users(YourAccount)\AppData\Local\Pal", at least on Windows 11.

below? the update file not sure if its just reuploaded
from igg by a user, or if they cracked it themselves
as its not "to hard" but still not easy. tools are accessible
and since "one scene" group stopped cracking DRM
they shared most their cracking software/secretes to be used.
Never the less, worth a shot i suppose. if not,
ignore the update. or buy a cheap SSD or NVME
if your motherboard allow an nvme ssd. (sata nvme)
would be the same as an ssd so not ideal.
Considering your under spec for this game,
i dont believe your issue is fixable without someone
else who had this issue. and were able to solve it with
some other work around.

if so, leave it ticked and run it with the two boxes
it has out the gate ticked. i included what it is, "verify hash" is the same as checksum in most instances. but leave it ticked on this time around, if you always unticked it.
what are the specs to your machine?
if not. (again, i own this game so im not using the cracked version
anymore at least) ima ask if you get an option for
"MD5" checksum, or anything similar?

not sure you tried this, but im not "searching" thru this entire thread for your replies to others.
also, where ever your MAIN install location is, be 100%
sure your selecting that with the patcher, also.
PASTE this patcher into your main directory location if
unticking checksum doesnt work, or your sure the
install location is working. as this will run it from where the games installed. (yes, does indeed work on other games)
used to this was the only way to update a game.
-I.E. kingdom come deliverance (update/patches) wouldnt apply
via GOG crack for me, unless i pasted the patches inside the
installation directory manually and ran them that way (or extracting in the games installed directory). one of these 3 things
SHOULD fix your issue.
im not sure how "trustworthy" these links are as they are not
igg uploads. But it is what you asked for, it would be wiser to
redownload the 4 part main download, extract, then download the update
that was recently released here. that way your not mixing versions from another
crack/patch that may not be compatible.
those update files are also below this comment it appears. flamman is the uploaders name. ctrl+F and typing their name will help you find it.
Have you made sure your not missing a recent update, or that your opening the correct exe location? (some matter, being 2 years here i assume you know this as well). I should expect you tried to manually copy the "crack" contents to the games directory correct?
key important notice, if you have mods installed or modded the game in any way, REVERT THIS as its seemingly happening alot to users who run mods and update their games with cracked versions.
when did you "first" download your copy of the game from IGG? im not sure your aware, but this game has been reuploaded with different versions several times. to which, the 4 part main download, and the update go together and the update patch will NOT work with any other main "patch/downloads" prior to this uploaded/released cracked version. i suggest a redownload of the original parts (main) then the patch. (FIRST) run the main, to make dam sure its working as intended. *(yes, im aware you played the game prior, thats not to say a new install will "work" without a hitch) then after verifying the base/main game UPDATE "patch" with "copy" contents selected if there is one.
