Weren't Yamato Battleship on the same level as Mazinger Zero and Getter Emperor in terms of raw power? Had it not because of that one moment that causes the Yamato to be temporary decommissioned in V, it could literally destroy everything in its path on the same level as Emperor with its Motion-Wave Gun and untouchable because of its Motion-Wave Barrier powerful enough to even block Getter Emperor Ray (probably) for the entire game
At one time it might have been. But keep in mind, Getter emperor is ever-expanding. A lot like gurren lagaan but less comical and following restrictions (which is why i don't like bringing in gurren lagaan into comparisons).
Ken ishikawa himself stated how Getter emperor was the enemy of the universe, because it just keeps growing and destroying.
So I'm still not sure who would win if emperor fought zero.
Ok so technically Go Nagai didn't create Getter alone, Ken Ishikawa had big participation in it too. But if you're going Getter then Shin Dragon(True Form), Getter Devolution and Getter Emperor are way more powerful than base Shin
