I mistyped the version number in the rar file. Specifically "Coral.Island.v1-218.part1.rar", but actually in the game it is v1-221. So don't be confused, sorry for the problem ;)
Not actually a 1.0 release. Avoid until all main quest content is completed and added to the game, at least. Getting a WIP tag and "cutesy" comment that content isn't finished in what is supposed to be the full release of the game is complete bullshit.
Because all the main questline content is stuff that was part of the kickstarter rewards, so they only half-assed it and then (only on Discord) told people that they were going to release it as a 1.0 when it had all the base non-kickstarter goal stuff in... but they left a ton of material in for those kickstarter goal things, instead of cutting it out and then introducing it as a whole thing, or working out a satisfactory end point to terminate the quests at their current point and then start up again when they add all the rest of the content, which is what they should have done. Instead we got half-assed WIP content in a supposed 1.0 release.
I just redownloaded and installed the versions you mentioned before from here and everything works fine for me. Could you, please, provide more information? Did you download all the game files from here or did you have a previous version (v1.0-947) installed from somewhere else? Were both installations a TENOKE release? Did you install it into a correct folder?
Hey there, I have downloaded Coral Island v1 0947-TENOKE via torrent (via igg) just a few days ago. I can even open the game and it's show 1.0947 When I update to 1.9048 it shows as same as Dhenis's comment above I already tried redownload the update 1.9048 today but still same error.
Hi there. 🙂 Let's try a clean install again - download both the base game and update from either here or IGG torrent page again, turn of your AV, run the setup with admin privileges, install the base game (and apply the crack if you didn't check the box in the installer), make sure you have enough space on your disk (the update may be 270MB, but it requires around 9GB, and the next one is 11GB - I believe if the issue was with an incorrect version, it wouldn't let you progress 20%+ in the installation), run the update installer, check that you have the correct install folder (I've faced a weird issue with TENOKE installers before - usually when I copy-pasted a path, it reset to a default path - it was probably my fault anyways; that's why I opt for the manual path via "browser") and install the update.
If this doesn't help, I would suggest looking for a different version, although I'm confident that the issue is not with the release, I'm sorry. ☹️ Tested all three installations earlier and it went fine.
Only on a technicality. They've shot themselves in the foot with this one. There's a bunch of completely unfinished content still in this supposed 1.0 release, and I'm not talking DLC link stuff, but core main questline material.
I have the game up to the 1223 update from here but when I try to patch the 1225 update it got to 85% then said " The program has detected that this update is not available for your game version."?
Hey there, scroll a little bit down, there's a whole thread about the issue. 🙂Basically, it would be wise to backup your saves and redownload both base game and the updates from here or the torrent site again.
after installing the base game. You just need to unzip the updates, and install them in order (click on the exe file inside each update folder and install according to the instructions)
Yup, looks like the extra content is not included in the release. Here you go - just drag the files into ...\Coral Island\ProjectCoral\Content\Extras (if the last folder isn't there, just create it 😊).
Hi! After updating and downloading a lot, the patch download shows this. I opened the game and it says v1.0-946, is it truly updated? Thank you in advance!
Hi there, always check your game version before updating - especially if there's multiple patches included in the release. From what you said, it looks like you tried to install it for the second time, it happens. 😄
Always check your game version before updating - patches are usually made per version unless specified otherwise, meaning you need to have the version preceding the one you want to update to. You might also already have the version you were trying to update to - it happens more often than you would think. 😄 In some cases, there's also a possibility you have a release that's incompatible with the patch - solution to that is downloading a different release.
i downloaded the 310 version, this is the first time im facing with this type of files. its not the regular "extract and play" type. it got the crack and update folders, but when i click the update patch and chose the game directory it says its not for the game version i have right now which is still in version 184 that i also downloaded from here. how to fix that? or did i do something wrong?
Probably you need to redownload whole file again because the main file had different version... This is like game Three Kingdoms Zhao Yun, i downloaded the first version when the game uploaded here for the first time and it had updates v1.01 - v1.05 then v1.1.0 came out but former updates are gone and guess what? It's just like you experienced with this game, it says it's not for the game version i had at that time, so i redownload the game and voila! the updates worked.
Where's the save file folder located? Someone mentioned it was in the 'AppData' folder, but I've yet to locate it there. Any help would be appreciated.
Most mods I've seen are easy-to-use .pak files, copy them into ...\Coral Island\ProjectCoral\Content\Paks. Always check the description. But be careful, as far as I know, mod support isn't properly implemented yet and you can end up with a corrupted save, so make a backup just in case. 🙂
This seems to be from rune, rune doesn't have the "copy contents of rune folder to installdir" box ticked by default.
You need to reinstall the game and make sure to check the box, or go into the installer folder,, click the rune folder, and copy the engine folder, projectcoral exe and projectcoral me files and drop them into wherever the game installed to
I have downloaded version Coral Island v1 0947 but cannot update the game to v1 0948/ v1.1-1198

Finally out of AA !
Let's test this version !!!

[C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\ProjectCoral\Saved\SaveGames].
If you can't find the AppData folder, you need to enable "show hidden folder and files" in your File Explorer setting.
You need to reinstall the game and make sure to check the box, or go into the installer folder,, click the rune folder, and copy the engine folder, projectcoral exe and projectcoral me files and drop them into wherever the game installed to
It is enabled even if I edit the .ini
