The fuck wrong with this game everytime i want to play it pulls up the save options

This is a bad crack--
It autopauses every few minutes with no way to turn it off. Unplayable as it's more than once a minute most of the time

The PS2 game came out in 2004 which I played on release couch coop with my brother and was not ready for how good it was.
Almost 20 years later, I can feel my body is still ready for this.
