I ended up having to play the previous game, Crystar, using a program called AntiMicro to turn controller input into keyboard and mouse input. It's apparently no longer supported in favor of AntiMicroX, which I haven't used but seems more or less the same. Once I'm emotionally prepared to start this game, I'll post my AntiMicroX config file for Crymachina, so anyone who's having trouble setting it up can just load up the file and go.
Hm. I'm not having any problem using a 360 controller in the current version. What kind of controller are you using? Does it plug and play no problem, or are you using an app to receive input? And if so, what app?
Hm. Okay. If it plugs and plays, then I think AntiMicroX should work, even if it's intended more for 360 controllers. I made a config file you can download here; load it up in AntiMicroX and it should work without any further fuss. I had to make a few concessions: reload is moved to Y instead of RB, dialogue is a little weird (A for next, Y for auto, X to show backlog, RB for hide window, B or RT for skip), and you may need to click the left stick to interact if pressing X doesn't work properly.
If AntiMicroX doesn't work, I've heard good things about DS4. I was hoping I could sketch out a configuration profile for you without having a compatible Playstation controller, but it's looking like it requires downloading some things I don't really want to bloat my computer with. Sorry about that.
