@For newbie: Don't forget crack before launching the game (otherwise you will get the "no license" error). By doing one of the following:
Method 1: before installing the game, check the following box:
Method 2: or after installing the game, open the iso file, copy everything in the "RUNE" folder, then paste them to where you installed the game, enjoy ;) (see tutorial image here if you still dont know: https://igg-games.com/how-885614657-to-install-game-and-update.html)
we are not here to hold your hand, do research on your own, there are literally guides that you can read and look for yourself instead of whining "HELP ME I CAN'T OPEN THE GAME" or "FUCK YOU THIS IS A SCAM I CAN'T PLAY THE GAME" or even complaining that it is a virus
you choose the to pirate AT YOUR OWN RISK if you are too lazy of a shithead to do research on your own then go back to steam or any platform and PAY for the game and actually SUPPORT the developer
you'll be lucky enough to find someone that actually hold your hand and guide you step by step about pirating 101 and that itself is a luxury, if you're completely new to this either you learn or GTFO
There's an optimization guide on steam: https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/949230/view/3744239011016263869?l=english Also, graphics aren't the be-all and end-all, so just do 1080p and lower your graphics. By the time you have a large city, you'll be CPU-limited anyway. It's a simulation game first and foremost, not an eye-candy game. Outside of optimization issues on high graphics, the actual game is fully fleshed out. This isn't like KSP 2.
Don't even waste your time, RTX 3070 Ti can barely run this game. 100% GPU usage even in the main menu. I tried to lower graphic settings but game looked like 30 years old title after that (billboard trees, visible pixels and plain green texture instead of grass) and oh... fps count on empty city... don't even ask.
Some of the visual effects are only there to tank your frame rate, just turn off a few things that you consider meaningless and leave texture quality/resolution at max.
Utter nonsense. Turn off volumetric clouds, DoF, motion blur, and ray marched global illumination and it runs perfectly fine. I'm getting well over 100fps at 1440p with all other graphics settings at max. Granted I have a 4090 but my friends playing with a 3070 and after disabling the things I mentioned he's getting great performance as well.
samee to me.. i start exe file and opens patch application and i need to browse something but i dont know what?? And below that i have this message: Required data not found in current dir or wrong version!
The new update version 1.0.15f1 has been released. However, I'm not very excited about this update because they did not fix the issue of cars constantly changing lanes in the middle of intersections. Like, what the hell? It's so unrealistic and makes the game feel crappy due to this kind of maneuverability. The AI looks so stupid because of it.
Additionally, I've noticed that at 4:00 PM in-game time and 4:00 AM in-game time, cars will change their path back to where they came from. Perhaps due to traffic, they stay in traffic for a long time. For example, their path is going home, but after 12 hours in-game time, they stay in the road due to traffic. They then change their pathway back to work, causing them to change lanes in the middle of intersections and make a lot of U-turns. This, in turn, breaks the gameplay experience and makes it feel very unrealistic.
I'm also waiting for a mod to disable the despawning of vehicles.
This definitely won't be able to run on consoles in its current state. Even the original Cities Skylines had pretty poor performance after the early game. This would be a literal slideshow
simple way to significantly increase the FPS is Disable the Dept of Field Mode https://youtu.be/oCzXPi4J_vs [ Cities: Skylines II i7-14700K RTX 3080 Benchmark Gameplay ]
HI moderators, i have an issue... The issue is that my cities.skylines.ii.beach.properties.iso file is corrupted and says that C drive dont have enought space so i cant extract it but i have 60GBs ... Idk what to do so pls help.. Thanks
Hey guys, i have a problem with the update version game, it keeps closing the game after launching it, even when i have that box checked. Can somebody help me fix this?
If you encounter that error, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
You need to install version "v1.0.15f1" before installing this update.
You should have a free hard drive size of at least x2 the size of the game (as well as a free size at least equal to the size of the game on the hard drive C:, because during update installation, it need a place to write temporary files. It will delete after successful installation, don't worry)
Maybe you are installing to an external hard drive? I don't know why, but with some updates, the installer doesn't work with external hard drives.
Are you using mods? Maybe it has changed the original file, so the update won't work.
The installation process will take a long time, please don't close it, because it will definitely crash your game. Even though the update size is only ~2GB, it is actually installing ~50GB.
first go to settings on thunderstore and click on the debugging click on set launch parameters copy the modded from the first all the way to the BepInEx.Preloader.dll" second open your steam and on the bottom left add a game and select add non steam game browse your cities skyline 2 app and when it register right click it on the properties, paste the parameters from thunderstore into launch options.
hi bro i have this modded message --doorstop-enable true --doorstop-target "C:/Users/Dejan/AppData/Roaming/Thunderstore Mod Manager/DataFolder/CitiesSkylines2/profiles/Dav1d_/BepInEx/core/BepInEx.Preloader.dll" Is that all i need to copy-paste to BepInEx.Preloader.dll" help pls... THank you
no, I just checked, it's still working, maybe there are quite a few people downloading at the same time so the site is overloaded. It also happens with other hosts. So many great games this week :D
I played it on a RTX 3060 and it definitely wasn't anything as bad as those Steam review said, the FPS was not very high but it surely was playable; sure, you need to lower or completely turn off some of the VFX stuff to boost the performance, but they don't impact the visual quality in a noticable way.
That said, I've only played for one hour and my city is only the size of a small village. It might very well become totally unplayable when your city gets really big with tons and tons of skyscrapers. For that part, we can only hope Colossal Order to be dedicated enough to push out a performance patch ASAP.
It's very interesting to see cars and roads morphing from their lowest LoD into the highest when you first start a city, tho... modern rendering technology sure has changed game visuals dramatically. :)
Hi, defender never had gotten any problems with cracked games from igg, not like this time. Is the game safe to install? Same with uTorrent, window with warning popped out.
Working well on ryzen 9 7900 and rtx 3070, 16gb ddr5 1080p empty map max setting 45fps, med over 60fps. Uses lots of ram for empty map but planning to upgrade anyway, cities 1 was needing 32 gb if this plays out like I expect with expansions and updates probablly need 64 gb in 5 years.
I'm running this on high with Depth of Field, DRS, Clouds & Fog off with a constant fps between 30-60. On an i7-4790k (60-80% usage), RTX 3070 TI (80-90% usage), 32gb DDR3 RAM (never jumps above 12gb usage) it runs surprisingly well
i suggest you dont, even cl30 6000 ddr5 that is timed manually is barely any better than cl14 ddr4. good choice on staying on intel though.(amd is frustrating, 30sec to 1min startup time is just the baseline of the annoyances that add up)
All this talk about poor performance is people complaining they can't run it on high graphics on launch day I literally run this game on an RX5500 and a Ryzen 5 2600, installed on a Samsung 970 EVO SSD with a windows 10 version from 2020 I installed in 2020 and I'm sitting on 120-150fps averages with a 1fps dip in a loading screen and when an different program switches to the foreground tanking background programs' fps I run it on medium-low graphics since I'm here for the game and not for the graphics. On my 2nd monitor I watch youtube with 1080p60fps AND THE GAME IS STILL ABOVE 60 FPS At worst my Vram is at capacity but neither CPU or GPU are overheating or at maximum utilization, I don't think I've seen a single AMD GPU user complain about poor performance, it's all the Nvidia shill cucks complaining
i'm able to play the game with 45 fps with DOF and motion disabled, im running on 3070 laptop GPU, definitely needed more optimization as the it running worse than cyberpunk with RTX ON on release date.
Haha, what a joke. I got it on Game Pass, i have a RTX 4090, Ryzen 7800X3D and 32GB DDR5 RAM, i can play anything perfect on 4k, and here i got 20FPS. Thanks, bye.
This is just embarrassing. I have a 4090 and a R5-3600... so worse than you, and I'm getting well over 100fps at 1440p with almost all graphics settings at maximum. Take a few minutes and read some guides or experiment a bit. All you have to do is disable volumetric clouds and ray marched global illumination. I also disabled DoF and motion blur because I frankly hate them in any game.
So wait... you're too arrogant to have to disable 2 things that don't matter to play a good game? How does that make any sense at all to you?
Talk about entitled... talk about ego. You bought your PC? I built mine from scratch and even I don't have this ridiculous ego that if I have to "tweak settings like a commoner" I'm not even going to try to play the game.
I mean I don't care if you play it or not but that was one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard!
If you don't understand that, it's perfectly fine. I just don't feel like reading through tutorials etc. anymore. I spent a lot of money on my PC and got almost the best of the best, Cities 2 is not that important to me, so it gets skipped. I would invest more time for Alan Wake 2, should it also become such a disaster, but that's it.
seeing how you rented this game from microsoft with your stupid tax and are complaining about it on a unreated piracy forum leads me to believe you don't have a clue about anything
Why are you people still defending bad game optimization? Did they pay you? STOP defending bad games and telling people it's their fault they didn't read the 300 comments under the optimization guide. Some people value their time and would rather just play the game than mess with the settings for multiple hours... smh
It runs fine for me. I have a 4090 and a R5-3600 and I'm getting well over 100fps at 1440p with almost all graphics settings at maximum. Take a few minutes and read some guides or experiment a bit. That's not what they meant. The devs aren't limitting your framerate. 30 FPS is the standard they chose to optimizise the game and it's graphics presets around, so getting better than that will probably require fine tuning of the graphics settings. But there is still plenty of room for them to optimize the game better. "Physical" depth of field alone drops me from 66 to 13 FPS on the main menu, which is pretty absurd if you ask me.

How do you rename RUNE? Thanks!
Open that file in notepad and in there you should see a option to change the name

welcome to gaming 2023 and please dont read the requirements for Alan wake 2 or you will have an aneurysm
