Here is the instructions for changing the language: (this instruction is an example for METAL GEAR & METAL GEAR 2: Solid Snake, but I think it's similar for other)
================= To change to english (in game) First Screen (EULA): Hit the top tile, then hit the back button to return to the first screen. Then choose the right tile to agree (top=confirm, left=disagree, right=agree). Main Screen: Go Down x3 to select the 4th of 6 tiles (options). Options Screen: Select the first tile to go to the Languages screen. Languages Screen: Select top tile for english.
Between the issues people are having redeeming the pre order content and the fact that it seems all of the 3d games run at 30 fps 720p which is Switch levels of resolution, this collection is a disaster right off the bat
Like seriously old PC version is better than this lazy "emulator + Game CD's images" XD Or they lost the source code for old PC port XDD And that keyboard keybindings... Why!?
When I play in Japanese, it stops at the first contents terms of use. I can't select "I agree," so when I press "Confirm," it goes blank and I can't proceed. Does anyone know how to fix this?
DLC Jap and US language pack is just a image disk of the PS1 versions of game. This dlc can be downloaded for free if you buy it on steam, PS4/5, Xbox or Switch. This is European version of PS1 game runs at 25 fps packed with official konami emulator. YT channel Digital Foundry claims it is a simple emulation just like epsxe or PCSX-Reload. On PS4 this "language packs" weight around 1.5 GB US and Jap Intergral 3.5 GB.

- connect your controller
- run steam and add the game to your library
- go to the game page and select "controller layout"
- click on your controller and go to community layouts and pick "mgs1 master collection ps4 controller" (probably will work with all controllers)
- then you MUST run the game from steam library and you are good to go.
