I don't know dude, this one is kind of weird.. First off, my browser (Brave) deleted it as soon as it finished downloading.. I had to redownload, and tell it not to do that.. Then Windows deleted it, so I had to remediate and tell it to allow the file even on my system, and when I finally got it open, what I found was unlike anything I have ever seen in a cracked games archive.. Simplex.exe, nothing that looks like it comes from Jalopy, unarch.exe, and of course, the bin file which probably has the game on it.. Two exe's, not sure which one to run first, or if I even want to.. I've never seen a cracker crack a game and then have it install using two exe files? It's just weird... Decided not to chance it and tossed it out.
Simplex is the installer, that detection its a false positive, unarc.exe is something like unrar.exe a command-line tool used to create and extract https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ARC_(file_format)(bin) files (arc is like rar) If you don't feel comfortable, you can try to extract the bin file with this tool https://github.com/Bioruebe/UniExtract2 Select the .bin file and an extraction folder
Well the Developers message is rude and fucked up , this is why i miss the good ol days man i never got insulted nor did anyone else when reloaded and the guys would upload a iso cracked game THAT WOULD WORK FLAWLESSLY 100% of the time for people who knew how to install and mount iso's . so yeah fuck you Greg Pryjmachuk learn to say things with respect.

Everything is tested and scanned before being uploaded, this website is virus free. If you get a trojan, it's false positive, like explained http://igg-games.com/virus-trojan.html.
For those having problem of their game crashing frequently. Mine stopped crashing when i did not take the uncle with me. It's less fun without uncle and his story but that's the best solution i found. Reducing graphic settings didn't help me and now i have them at highest and the game is running better. It crashed once tbh but it was ok. Edit: if someone found a better solution, feel free to share it with us :)
The version here. By the way, i also found a better solution that was provide on steam forum. It's about using steam to force the game to launch with direct x9, at first i thought it was impossible for people who have the game cracked but it actually worked and for some reason, with direct x9 you can take your uncle with you without the game crashing. There is small fps lagging but it's better than the game crashing. Steps:
1st download steam for desktop and open it
At the bottom left of steam click on "Add a game" --> "Add a non-steam game"
Find Jalopy launcher and add it
Then go to library
The game should be available at the left
right click --> properties --> set launch options --> past this "-force-d3d9"
Click ok
You need to launch the game through steam by simply clicking on "Play" after selecting Jalopy in your library. The crash should be gone, the game will sometimes lag a little (especially when the a character speak) Some also suggest opengl but the game is unplayable when launched through it (There is graphic bug etc...)
Hi guys, When I click on Launcher of JALOPY I get this message. I get "Unable to launch game. Make sure the 'Target' and 'StartIn' folder point to correct path and folder" I tried changing the StartSteamEmu.ini to the correct "StartIn" as the moderator suggested but still got the same error. Any help is appreciated! And thanks in advance! :)
You've probably sussed it by now, but I'll still try to help. You have the .rar file in a folder, correct? If so right click it, and select extract here. Once extracted open the file, since the game doesn't need to be cracked just look for the .exe file. Double click it and run - that's it. If it doesn't work, uninstall and follow these steps again.
I don't have a problem like that but I have majour lag spikes but I know that is already in the original game. I would try to run the game as administrator and see if it works then.
I am running everything well (except the lag spikes as that is normal in this game). I had no problem with creating a new game and playing it. However I do rock a high end machine so it may be that your machine may not be able to run it.

Well to be fair that's not what he said. He said he does not condone it. He does however sympathize with those of us who are quite poor. He never said it was okay, he said he knows it's going to happen regardless. However it is good to hear that you intended to buy the game.
Developer here, I don't condone the free giveaway of Jalopy, but pirates gonna pirate so I'll just ask please - if you're running a pirated copy of the game - stop reporting issues to me, it's not helpful, it's just duplicating work that's already fixed in the supported version of the game and it's slowing development down significantly. I know some of you are poor as all fuck and I sympathise that you're just trying to be helpful, but please if you've gotta pirate the game just keep bug reports / suggestions out of the dev forums / tumblr / email! I Really am sorry about pirating the game. If I did have the money I would buy it and hate people with money that pirate it just to do it. Thanks for making games and I hope I can purchase it in the future to support you and your team.
For those getting crashes, it's a memory leak from integrated graphics cards. You can kind of fix it by activating opengl mode. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/76031-less-memory-usage-by-using-opengl/ will tell you how to go about doing so (I know it's for KSP, just do it on the exe). Also, I would encourage you to buy this game because the guy making it is dirt poor, so use this as a demo and then go get the game if you like it please.

that's what happens if i plug in my old mouse. at random times, the cursor goes up and then flies everywhere. in games, i look up, and then i start spinning.
Yeah, I seen that a little while ago, I played it to the end and didn't run into any game-breaking glitches. The suspension seems to get stuck on the car so that it leans to one side and Uncle sometimes doesn't like to get in, but you can still play the game no problem.
Epic cash glitch (You nedd a controler) 1. Enter the game 2. get woken up by that annoying old man http://3.press the triangle on the controler. Then youll hire some kind of a cash sound 4.go to the car and look in the wallet. I had a xbox controler to do this but i think you can do it with all controlers.
for me, the old guys subtitles arent showing, and theres no text in the options menu. tried different downloads, and it looks like other people have the same problem. is there an update that fixes that or something?
Nope, I have it too. Similar problem if I go to options from the main menu. There is nothing and I cannot go back. Only forced exit works in this case.
Yeah found it out too, after my post. I had taken a look at the steam community site of this game, someone uploaded a screenshot of the same problem too. U can use one of the video walktroughts to see what the dude normally says. Will try it out now, if it works.

You have the .rar file in a folder, correct?
If so right click it, and select extract here.
Once extracted open the file, since the game doesn't need to be cracked just look for the .exe file.
Double click it and run - that's it.
If it doesn't work, uninstall and follow these steps again.
