That's an interesting avatar that you have . It appears to be the mirror image of Painwheel'sicon from "SkullGirls". I thought it looked kind of familiar but at first, the reversed image threw me off.
The video that Splendor linked to down below is just a sample taken from the Blaxy Girls' song "If You Feel My Love (Chaow Mix)" that's been placed in a continuous loop and plastered with a racist clip of Tom Cat from an old 1942 "Tom & Jerry" MGM cartoon short called "Puss n' Toots" (See the "record player segment" starting in pos 4:53 in the full 07:00 video). Yes, it's still a reminder of the racist anti-Asian sentiment from the old days that shouldn't be revived and remain buried! Like it's been said many times, "If we don't learn from past mistakes then we're doomed to repeat them"! 🙄
I guess that anything positive would "go kind of hard" if it's repeated over and over again in anyone's head (eg. - "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger"" by Daft Punk). However, the same probably couldn't be said of anything negative which could become like a nuisance in the least or a seemingly, unending, painful torture at the worst!
I didn't say that racism is buried. I was saying that old, racist sterotypes like Tom playing a "Chinaman" should be buried. Of course, racism is still alive but thankfully there are people who still fight it for the good of the future!
I disagree in burying history. If you buried things you would never find them and in this case you would never learn from them with the one who buried it perpetuating whatever "hate" they started in the first place. Without others seeing things as they are in this case the buried hate then you would not have anyone to go against said "hate". So with that I still think burying things is not the right way to go about things if you want to learn from them.

I think there was a misunderstanding. Maybe "should be buried" was not an accurate phrase for what I meant to say. Perhaps "should be no longer circulated" would have better conveyed what I meant: "Racist stereotypes should be no longer circulated." I agree with you that history should not be forgotten otherwise future generations will not learn of the mistakes that were made in the past and therefore doomed to repeat them. Sometimes the word "buried" is used in place of the word "forgotten" but that was not my actual intention, I assure you. It was just that "buried" sounded more dramatic at the time of writing than "no longer circulated" and is more compact, being only one word compared to three words.
"No longer circulated" can also apply to what has happened recently to another old racial stereotype that used to be found on the packaging of "Uncle Ben's" rice that is a painful reminder of the slavery suffered by African Americans. The old racial stereotype of an old black man (a "House slave" in contrast to a "Field slave") is no longer in circulation on the new packaging and the name of the product has been changed from "Uncle Ben's" rice to "Ben's Original" rice". The history of the "House slave" stereotype can be seen on Wikipedia (See "Mammy" in that linked article) for future generations to learn about. To the right side of the "Mammy" section, there is a picture of "Aunt Jemima" on an advertisement for "Aunt Jemima's Pancake Flour Mix". "Aunt Jemima" is another painful African American stereotype of a "House slave" that is soon to be removed from product packagings like "Aunt Jemima's Pancake syrup" (See the second linked article in this paragraph) but the history is still available for anyone to see and learn about.

Well said, my friend! That's a very clever point. We are all supposedly God's children and even if someone is an atheist, we all belong to the same species/race of beings. Hypothetically, I'm sure that if space aliens attacked the Earth, even the KKK/Neo-Nazis and the Black Panthers/Nation of Islam would all join forces to attack the space aliens in order to survive as a species (After that if the human race finally does manage to defeat the space aliens, well then that would be another story whether or not the temporary alliance will still last).
See, that's probably what the human race needs - a common enemy to force us to forget all of our biases towards one another and work together, even for a temporary time, in order to perhaps forge better relations or start talks towards ending the infighting among humans. Unless, the space aliens really came in peace though ... Anyone else remember the TV series "V" or the "To serve Man" episode of The Twilight Zone?

The popup ads were gone around the time after you left this site a few months ago. I haven't seen a "Let's play" poster for a long time even before the pop up ads started to disappear.
Well, there's not so many new internet trolls here as much as some old, unknown ones like "Marmel" down below here who only now just "came out of the woodwork" and is starting to act up (I've never even heard of him before until just now when he posted an unsolicited reply to my comment below). I guess "Marmel" is just bored and trying to make a name for himself by acting up. He's obviously just a lurker as the only badge that he has is the "1 Year Anniversary" badge that everyone gets automatically after just being here for a year, not that I judge members here by the number of badges that they have. It's just an indication that Marmel hasn't been actively contributing anything good to the IGG community here to earn any kind of badge.
