iirc, this copy is no-install needed type. I just want to know how to "uninstall" fully rid of everything since I can't seem to just uninstall SMAPI, I wnated to start fresh.
You can remove SMAPI just by itself - run the installer again and simply choose to uninstall it. And/Or remove the parameters in launch options (by just removing the parameters, you'll disable the interface - which is possibly what you want without getting rid of SMAPI in case you want to use mods again).

lol jokes aside, this may be caused by old driver. Try running it with your gaming GPU(Nvidia or AMD) rather than the default GPU(like Intel Graphics 1000).
or Incompatible mods. Make sure your mods are up-to-date. Check your mod folder, cut-paste them all to a new folder outside the game folder, and re-add it one by one to find out which one is causing the problem. Then you can delete or update it as necessary.

Go to your anti virus quarantine and "restore and add exception" on the file. A lot of times AV takes a cracked exe file as a virus and puts it in quarantine.

So it doesn't work on my PC (win10) but works on my notebook(also, win10). I am not sure why. XNA framework 4.0 is available on both. I followed all tipps and guides for my pc - but it just wont work. If someone has a solution I would be more than happy!
If you can't launch the game and get a black screen, download XNA framework 4.0. Just type XNA framework 4.0 into google and get the one from Microsoft.

Your save files will be mostly safe from updating, although backing up is recommended. You don't have to transfer any save files I think. It should be in the same place as always. No need to transfer if you're using the same computer. Win: %appdata%\StardewValley\Saves Mac/Linux: ~/.config/StardewValley/Saves

It should make a stardew shortcut to your desktop. Right click, open file location. I know it was maybe just me being dumb, but maybe you're dumb too, so I'll save you some time.

yes you can check SMAPI website for mods that are compatible with the 1.5 update. some mods are still compatible, some are recently updated to work for 1.5, some are not yet updated
Not sure about the latest version yet but in a previous version(pre 1.4), i was able to mod the in-game music to Harvest Moon, Rune Factory, Animal Crossing or similar game's music instead. It's likely you'd be able to use the same mods as the people who purchased the full version are able to.
run simplex.exe an installation window will pop up (with slightly irritating music that you can turn off) click "browse" to change the installation path then click install
Try using 7-zip to extract the files. Win-rar doesn't work but 7-zip does for me. From there, just press the simplex installer, choose your folder for installation and it will install as normal once you proceed.
You need to open the SIMPLEX app inside the folder and then click Install on it, when it finishes just find the folder you just installed on your PC, open it and run Stardew Valley normally. Hope this helps you! :)
The rar archive doesn't open for me, it shows this message: "the archive is either in unknown format or damaged". I tried downloading it from all the download links. I had the same issue i had the old version 1.4 if u dont have it just download it u will find a folder in it called redist just instal the 4 programs u will have some maybe one or two are missing so when u instal them just run the newer version u have now and it will work perfectly.
The redist isn't the problem... This message shows when I try to open the winrar itself. It just won't open. I installed the redist programs on 1.4.5 and I'd do it again this time, but I can't since it's not the files inside the rar but it's an issue with the rar itself...

Is the file size less than 5 MB? Did you get the file directly, or have you used an exe? If the answer to any of the questions is yes, you downloaded an ad. Please try downloading the files again and make sure you get the correct ones.
So I installed Need XNA Framework Redistributable 4.0, restarted my pc but the game still won't open. I even tried repairing and uninstalling then installing it again but the game still won't open. Anything else i could be missing? Obviously I have direct x and visual c++ already.

I'm pretty sure that you'll have to copy the save file from "C:\Users(NAME)\AppData\Roaming\StardewValley\Saves(Your save folder)" and then paste it on the steam game folder (i dunno where it is exactly-)

When I open the game, it'll crash randomly. Yesterday I played the begginging for about half an hour, then it crashed. Now it crashes when I join the world. It looks like it mostly happens when I open the menu. Does Vsync have anything to do with it?

You and your friends need to download Radmin, then you create a server, send your network name and password to them, and if everyone connects, a green ball will appear on them.Now hover your mouse over the name of your network, right-click and copy the ip, send it to your friends, and enter the game, go to coop, create a host (farm), and your friends go in coop, in the other option, they should put your ip, and that's it, you started playing multiplayer. The application file for the game doesn't seem to work for me. Whenever I execute it, nothing actually shows up in my task manager and the game doesn't execute. It doesn't work even with run as admin on. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Hmmm? GDrive is asking for perms to join. I don't think that's normal. Because of this, the GDrive link is essentially dead. I'm not sure why it's like that since dead links usually mean the file has been taken down from the thing. Also, you can't copy it to your drive and download from there because of this. I'm pretty sure if igg-games just changes the perms this can be fixed. Mods could u contact him or explain to me why it's like this?

With cracked games like these online play is a no-go you can do LAN (Local Area Network) but i have never done that before and i am pretty sure you need some program that you and your friends are all using to play on the same server. You would have to do more research yourself to know the details.

if dont like siplex.exe delete all but simplex.bin and unarce.exe open the command prompt write: unarc x simplex.bin its extract the game in the current directory then when it finish just delete the simplex.bin and unarce and its redy to play

Did you found a way to make SMAPI work? I can't install it at all. The game works fine but I can't add SMAPI to it either. EDIT: Nvm. There is a comment further down that helps and it actually works.
never tried myself playing on router to other router, considering i always played lan. but, you can try using the 'external ip': -the person that hosts the game is the one giving it out, they can find theirs using any search engine using any browser they preferred. -once given out, joiners simply try joining as usual, but with the provided ip. if it doesnt work, then... i am out. p/s: i am joining someone 'that used, played. and hosts via steam'.
got the game, except i can't join or host a game. joining a game it says connection failed. hosting a game works but i can't invite anyone with a code (the buttons are missing)
make sure that the game folder and smapi folder are in the same place (ex: Desktop or Downloads, etc). activate the smapi installer and once it asks you for the address of the game folder, double click on the game folder to open it, but don't activate the game. click on an empty spot in the address bar (that long narrow bar directly below the stuff that says File, Home, View, etc) and it will show and highlight the full address of the game folder. Right click to Copy and Paste it on smapi then press enter. Smapi will ask you what you want to do next. The instructions are straightforward after that.
Question. I already have the previous cracked version of this game and i wanne update it to 1.4 . If i download this should i delete the older version? Or is there any way to preserve my old save?
Saves are located in %APPDATA%\StardewValley\Saves. If you download the new version, it should recognize the previous version save, but do a backup of the file just in case.

Well, I have the 1.3.36 version and it has the option of network play too but it requires the LAN code, and the 1.4 version is through an invitation code
Seriously? I don't have that problem, I even loaded my game from the previous version of the game. Although I only tried the game for a few minutes to try my old save game. When you install the game, a shortcut of the game is created on the Windows desktop, that's what you have to run.

Be sure what you are downloading. When downloading pirate versions we go through hard routes till finally reach the correct download button. One good way to check the file is compare its size and the name (the name wont always make sense but the size at least is a good bet). Be very careful where you click and what you agree to. disagre when you can, it's usually to download adittional files.
MegaUp worked for me Nov 2, 19. if you cannot start the game, go into CommonRedist folder and run both .NET and XNA applications to make sure you have files to run the game. I also have an issue every time I load in where my screen will go all white, or partially white with no assets. This seems annoying but is really no big deal, simply when you see the white screen Ctrl+Alt+Del, then return back to the game.
For those who can't start the game, go to the game's folder, then _CommonRedist and install both DotNet and XNA. In my case I already had DotNetinstalled, just needed XNA.

However, the players joining the server is stuck on a never ending loading screen. We once did it, and it worked... for like seven days. Since then it had only been nothing but loading screens. try this method install XNA you can find it inside _CommonRedist folder then XNA then 4.0 then intsall xnafx40_redist then start the game like if my method work ^_^

for those who wonder, as of today, both megas links are dead; google drive is overloaded, won't be accessible untill in 2 or 3 days if it isn't removed; uploaded works fine, tho don't download from uploaded if you don't have 2h to waste; openload works fine, tho take care of the pop-up ads spam (4~6); and I personaly don't trust any of the other platforms
You can still download from Google Drive, add the file to your Drive and then on your drive copy the archive, after that download the copy of the archive.

Did you download an exe file? When opening the exe, did you get a rar file, or am I missing something? If the above is true, you downloaded an ad, make sure you get the correct file.
I downloaded it with megaup, and i think this is not stardew valley's files. But i did it now, with google drive. But there is another problem, i cannot start the game with the exe, it is not working
ive downloaded and tried to open the exe file as well nothing pops up. Edit: found the problem had to go to -> _commonredist -> XNA -> 4.0 -> download xnafx40_redist
Go into the _CommonRedist folder, and inside you'll see 2 more folders, install the programs in the 2 folders. These programs are required for the game to run, and Steam would normally install these if you were to download it from steam. Also, if you have steam installed, close it before running the game, or else the crack wont work (as the crack is a steam emulator)

Did you download an exe file? When opening the exe, did you get a rar file, or am I missing something? If the above is true, you downloaded an ad, make sure you get the correct file.
After I do the dowload I had to remove the rar I do not know why the document jammed in my winrar and then the game did not start saying that it does not respond. Then I went to see how they had formed the tasks within the executable program and realized that they were missing a file Thank you very much.

Have you installed XNA Framework? If not installed, you should try it, I'm not sure but that is one of the reasons that the game "has stop working". Both Stardew Valley and Terraria must have XNA installed. I hope this will help you.

Okay. So, this game works perfectly fine on one computer, but on another computer, it won't even start up. It shows up in the task manager, and then suspends itself. I have checked, and the computer's specs are up to date. There are no error logs.

You can find Stardew Valley saves in C:\Users(yourprofile)\AppData\Roaming\StardewValley I also recommend going here for finding the save file locations of other games too: pcgamingwiki

For those who the game doesn't open, you have to install everything that is inside the CommonRedist and Redist folders. Then you will be able to open it.

Hi. So I backup-ed my save data and downloaded the latest version of the game. I also deleted the Old save data and replaced it with the new. But every time I try to open the new save data in the latest version of the game, the game always crashes. Anyone know how to fix this?

Yeah, I tried it with Evolve and that magically worked. Sadly, after each night a black screen appears and the player 2 needs to ALT+F4, then the game works again ... Thanks for the help !!

GUIDE TO EVERYONE: I've noticed a lot of people talking about the game not loading or the exe not running, even when running as administrator! Fortunately, there's an easy fix to this: Step 1. Go to _Redist and run/install all of the exe's in that folder Step 2. Go to _CommonRedist, go through both of the folders to download each exe. This should fix your issue! Upvote so more people can see! EDIT: Generally, if you are a gamer you will have almost all of these installed. That's why, if you want to save time, try only installing What is in the XNA folder in _CommonRedist. If this doesn't work, then try all the other exe's.

Downloaded from the http://Mega.co one but I'm gonna assume that it doesn't matter which download; I got a really bad Trojan virus just from trying to open it. From my antivirus it has something to do with the online/multiplayer mode. Usually this website is good for cracked games but jesus hell man that was rly bad. Please fix it, I had to completely uninstall the game from my laptop.

Thank youuuu, solved the problem. Technically it wasn't the SMAPI, but while i was installing the SMAPI it says that i needed XNA framework and i installed it and the problem is solved now. Thank you so much

Theres a new small update to the game but it adds the option to use invite codes which results in playing the game without hamachi so please update the game

However, just a small correction, instead of using the ipv4 address, which didn't work use the copy (insert number here) local. I'm not sure if this was only for me but using the ipv4 didn't work while this did.
You can just delete the old version and just start the newer one. The data is saved somewhere else not in the folder of the game so your files are safe
To fix the Launcher application and Stardew Valley application not working, you must install every other application in the "_CommonRedist" folder and the "_Redist" folder, and then run the Launcher as administrator. Hope this helped!!!
I have a solution that may work... go to your stardew valley folder go to redist and launch the instalation for xnafx40_redist. Thats what did it for me.

I cant run the game with mods. Both SMAPI 2.5 and 2.6 are not working for the game. 2.5 saying the game is new while 2.6 saying the game is old. pleaase help!!

I can try to help you. Press the windows key + r and type in %appdata% and go to the Stardew Valley folder. There should be a folder called errorlogs. It'll tell you why your game is crashing. If you don't understand it then just reply back.
Your latest file would be Nullplayer_190397384_666493.txt. Already I can see that you have corrupted files just by looking at the error "Nullplayer". If you open up that file it should tell you the reason for your crash.
So this is what I got. (The German stuff at the top means ''Part of the path "C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Stardew Valley\Content\XACT\FarmerSounds.xgs" could not be found''). I'm probably really stupid, but do you know how to fix this?
I don't think you can play through Steam (maybe if you add the game as a non-steam game?), but LAN (through hamachi if you're not on the same network) defenitely works.

To host, you have to be connected to a Hamachi net and go to Co-Op and select "host". You choose the world that has the building to play multiplayer and that's it. To join a game is the same, but instead of clicking at "host", you have to click "join" and paste the IPv4 of the host. You press "OK" and will reconize the world. You click it and you'll join the game. Sorry for my bad english!
umm, still not working, yeah that's actuaally similar to terraria, i once hav the same problem and solved with the turning on/off the firewall, but stardew valley is not it

It shouldn't remove any mods. You'd need to move your mods folder over from your older version of any SMAPI mods. (you'd have to check if they're up to date) Any mods that require you to drop them into the content folder you'd probably have to go through and get them again.

Help! I cant open stardew valley. I have execute all the files in the folder redist. Everytime I double click it, noting happens. And at AppData\Roaming\StardewValley\ErrorLogs, a new file called NullPlayer_190448659_315177 appears.
You need to click on redist and download all the execute all the files then the game will open for ya. Don't worry as the files are official microsoft stuff.

I see a lot of comments talking about the game not working and all that. For me everything works even co-op if u set it up right with Hamachi. The game even works with old saves so no problems there too. Hope ya all found out the solution :P
Me and my mate tried to MP via Hamachi, portforwarding is ok but we're unable to connect to eachother. We're up to date with the VC redist thingy and firewalls dont block Stardew. I'm clueless, does anybody can help on that ?
You can't, if you want the latest version you have to download it again. It's only 400mb anyway. Saves are stored separately and automatically work with newer version.
I try to play the game but in the first two minuits it freaks out!! By it freaks out i mean that it stops showing images and it goes white and black (it only does that, the sounds and all the other staff are fine)
you know you can transfer your backups? and anyway if I ask the update is that I would like to play with a friend who bought the game and unfortunately our version is incompatible. And for a better gaming experience with your friends I advise you to start from scratch and build your farm from A to Z with them. I'm trying to play online but, sometimes it works fine but most of the time the player trying to connect gets stuck on loading screen. We even tried the older version (because it worked before) but didn't work this time. Any tips?
HOW TO PLAY MULTIPLAYER: Download a program like Evolve or Hamachi that enables VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network), and play that way through a LAN game. Both of those programs basically make it so that you and whoever are in your parties / networks are both counted as being on the same LAN. Instructions on how to use either of them are readily available on Youtube. This works across ALL games with a LAN multiplayer option. Also bear in mind that there is usually a "network error" when using Evolve for the first time, but can easily be fixed by, again, watching Youtube. Hope this helps.
Yep. You both would have to be in the same network or party in either Hamachi or Evolve to play together. And the creator of the party or network's IP is the one you use to "Direct Connect" using LAN options across any game. It's basically as if you guys are in the same house, on the same network. It works just like a normal LAN game, just think of Evolve or Hamachi as the house.

YOU CAN. you need to be on same version and play with a VPN to simulate a lan. but be advised that right now its extremely unstable and people probably will disconnect alot.
I just realized 10 days into the first year that I never recieved the letter from the adventure guild about opening the mine, but it IS open. But if I try to go inside the cut scene causes the game to crash...

Download a program like Evolve or Hamachi that enables VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network), and play that way through a LAN game. Works flawlessly with any game that has LAN.
Seems like missing assets. If you have mods installed, check for any updates then install everything in the Common Redist folder. If that doesn't work, re-extract the rar.

Do I Install everything from the Redist or Common Redist folder or both? Do any of these programs run in the background post installation when I'm not playing the game?
I scanned the file with Malware-bytes after extraction and it picked up some malware called Hack.Tools or something along those lines. Downloaded using google drive and have never picked anything up on other games. Get rid of this malware please so I can actually trust and play the game. The malware was detected within the online service patch executable.
This is a cracked illegal game. To remove the game's anti-piracy protection, some modification to the exe file is needed. And those can be detected as a false-positive by your anti-virus. You want a 'virus free' game? Go buy it on your favorite online platform :)

When I use the online service patch, it says "pattern not found" like 7 times, and then "nothing patched" how can I fix this? btw, if you have avg and are having trouble launching the patch, just go into settings/compments/file protection/customize and turn off scan exe's.

For no reason, my games removes all the displayed sprites and replaces it with white blocks, and when i load the save it doesn't change. How can i fix it ?

Any version before 1.3.14 doesn't allow multiplayer on anything but the network you're on. It doesn't show a code because the game is only searching for games on your wifi
I have tried to put the 2.6 beta version in every possible folder that has anything to do with Stardew Valley, and it continues to tell me "Oops, couldn't find the game automatically. Type the file path to the game directory (the one containing "Stardew Valley.exe), then press enter." I don't know what a game directory is, let alone the path to one.
Are you sure that when you installes igg sv it all came in 1 folder, then the smapi 2.6 folder in it (extract every file from the smapi zip and pdut it in the same folder as igg sv) if this doesn't work you might want to double check and see if firewall has anything to do with that if none of theese work i dont know what will.

Even after the Installation of XNA and DotNet. After the Character Craetion and the Intro leads me to to the Day 1 which I can only see a bunch of Blocky Text and a White Screen. Anyone know a fix?
There isn't a setup, but if you really want, you could make a folder in Program Files/PG (x86) and put it there, and make a shortcut to the desktop if you want it like that.
I'm not sure if this will help but if you go to your Stardew Valley file and open _commonRedist, then open XNA and 4.0, there should be an msi file called xnafx40_redist, click and install it and the game should work
im pretty sure u can connect to a friends game via LAN but a guy named zero posted something about it below... not sure if it works tho, either that or you can search up a youtube video or something lol

I am trying to play stardew valley. I extracted the game and when I try to run the .exe or run as administrator nothing happens. There is no ISO or CUE files so it says I just extract and play. I already installed the dotnet and XNA and still nothing is happening

You can't. You'll have to use a program like Hamachi or Tunngle, or some kind of VPN. Also, you'll have to either look up how to get those to work with this game, or figure it out yourself
I updated smapi and now it wants me to have 1.3.10 before I can run it, and can't downgrade smapi. so now im stuck not playing until someone updates :(
That's because you need to install Smapi on the same folder as your game (you should have a StardewModdingAPI.exe and launch the game from it) before installing any other mods and don't forget to check the compatibility list before, you can do so on this site https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Modding:SMAPI_compatibility#XNB_mods
i have a question, i saw everyone saying that to play coop you need to use hamachi or something like it, but cant you play using the "code" or something like it? when you join the coop and do your farm,you use the e button and go to settings there's something there that like it generates a code and then your friend puts that code and they can play with you, idk if you understand what im saying, but does it works?? or its only with hamachi for sure?
You cannot add "co-op" feature into a fully built game just by using a code. I assume that you're referring onto Mods and Scripts, but to code a feature which is not stable is truly impossible

Try to reinstall it, delete old copy and download new one + Install all programs From _Commonredist folder, it has programs that the game use for working properly
Fix your english please or use google translate, you can play with steam version too (normally) and if you open ports u can host without VLANs or being in a LAN

Currently the game is still in beta. So you will always find bugs, especially in multiplayer. If you want a relatively bug free game, wait for a stable version. I guess in like 2-3 weeks?
Yes there is a fix, all of your friends and you have to reduce the lightning graphic to low, and everyone should go to sleep to sync the server and it should be fine

now you or your friend host a server on stardew valley on the co-op option. then your friend put your hamachi ip (he clicks copy ipv4 with right click on you) or you put his ip if he is hosting

Yes, but the current version is beta which is unstable. You can try this version, but then your save won't be compatible with earlier version. I recommend to backup your save first!

1.3.9 got the Vcredist package update to address the "LAN Only" connection issue. But this is a partial fix, not a full one, so bugs may occur and persist :\

I posted my quick fix for the update on on here it’s a google drive link. It’s got a couple upvotes so it may or may not be visible. Either way it does have limitations I’ve been looking into namely without hamachi or an alternative to it (other than lan) there is no way to enable internet based co-op I’ll see if I can fix it myself if the official igg crackers don’t get to it first (hopefully they do because it’s a pain in the ass)
If you don't need the steam emulation you can start the game from "Stardew Valley.exe" if it still doesn't open you probably need to Install the filles in "_CommonRedist"
I took the liberty of updating the game from 1.3.5 to 1.3.9 all functionality of the IGG upload is still intact all I did was update the game and install smapi inclusive of a few functioning mods (start the game with the modding api exe to use them). If the main release goes without an update I’ll quick fix it but as far as it looks the last update was 1.3.10 so it should be all set through IGG for now :) My fix isn’t cracked I just use my purchased game content files and merge them with the IGG release
I dunno where it could've gone wrong this time, but with me and a friend SMAPI's newest update for the beta runs into an error and crashes on startup (yes, the 1.3.10 update and update 2.6-beta.12), do you happen to run mods at the newest version and have it work out?
For those interested in working co-op (Online) there are two options right now. You can use a virtual networking program like hamachi or tunngle and connect through those via LAN or you can wait for an official update from IGG. My fix was simply for sanity due to the crippling lag on the less recent updates. I will take a better look at what would prevent online functionality in a few hours if there is no official update.
Updating with a new find. Port 24642 UDP is the primary port sending and receiving packets if someone familiar with port forwarding wants to give online co-op a shot all you need to do is forward that port. Identify your external ip address (quick google search) and have the host who port forwarded connect others through the lan option using the external ip. This is not tested by me but theoretically it would work.
I spent a good amount of time trying but my only suggestion is to use real lan or tunnels/hamachi until there’s a better alternative I just threw this together for those who wanted the update

It’s one of two things, I spent quite a while trying to pinpoint exactly how the beta puts co-op together trying to find the ports that it listens on etc to allow a more open ended co-op without the steam interface. I came up with pretty much nothing useful other than the only option for internet based lan play with my quick fix is to use hamachi or tunngle or something along those lines. Wish I had a more solid grasp on the workings so I could help more
Me and my friend made everything enabled on the firewall hamachi, stardew etc. but it still doesn't work (just stuck on Loading) do you know what could be the problem ? I can also see his character standing still when he has the loading screen.
if in the case it worked in the previous revision for you make sure that the smartsteamemu.ini file is correctly editted. "ctrl +F to NAMEHERE" and change that back to what it was before (IGGGAMES if you've never editted that file) it's also possible that functionality is broken for the steam emu as it was a quick fix not a genuine crack attempt
This is all inclusive so the 1.3.5 version is now obsolete. Connectivity to legit steam and gog versions work as of this quick fix I've tested it with a few of my own save games just to make sure and everything is pristine

for those who want to know how to play co-op.. you will need hamachi for that. the host needs to create a vilage using the host option, the other players need to be in the same network on hamachi and then use the join option and put the host's hamachi ip there to connect
We tried to play with a friend using hamachi. Hosted a network, got the other to join, but when she tried to join to the game it said connection failed. Is there a fix for this? Thank you if anyone tries to help.
Hey me and my friend are trying to play together right now,using hamachi and we can't connect to each other. Did you do anything speical on your side to make it work? We set up the cabins,we have accept ip connections and we launched the game using the launcher.
what happens when you try to connect? does it say no space left? because it can be fixed by changing the game language, i dont know why i had problem connecting to my friend and i changed language to fix also make sure you have stable connection with you friend on hamachi, right click on his name and select diagnose red = no connection yellow = possible connection but high ping green = ok hamachi will give you either of the three
Btw, its not a steam version, but a GOG version using a steamEmu, why? You can just launch Stardew Valley.exe and play. Of course, without co-op, since for it u need to own the game and have GOG Galaxy installed.
Co-op should be possible, just not online multiplayer. If co-op doesn't work, you'll have to see about using a program like Tungle or Hamachi to get it to work

Even though Stardew Valley 1.3 update is going to come out, It's still not stable so I'm going to wait untell the summer so by than, hopefully its more stable and able to play for multiplayer.
AFAIK, you should just be able to use Smart Steam Emu and make it automatically patch the files. Could you upload the 1.3.3 version on Dropbox or something?
The 1.3.3 Beta is out,it's allowing us to play Multiplayer and add some new events.but it's not like i'll play the Multiplayer anyway so...i'm just gonna wait for the Stable Version :]
Well the 1.3.3 (Updated April 30th, 2018) (Beta) is up on Steam and GOG. But honestly I'm gonna skip that and wait for stable version. It gives modder to update their mods too. Some words of caution from the developer blog:
You should back save files up before installing the beta.
Files that you save in v1.3 can’t be loaded in v1.2 or earlier.
If your game was modded, it may or may not be recoverable in v1.3.
MP works the same way as multiplayer in cracked Terraria. You are able to host a dedicated server that anyone can join, or you can use Tunngle to connect straight through LAN. The mods say that the 1.3 update will be uploaded "soon".
Well 1.2.33 is the current latest version. ConcernedApe said that next update should be sometime this Spring, probably in May or June? You can always check the latest version at the Steam page or the wiki(https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Stardew_Valley_Wiki)
HELP ! I deleted my cursor.xnb file and i forgot to back it up and i cant find it in the trash ! can somebody send me his cursor.xnb file ? (cuz without it i cant see the number of items i have).
Why isn't my game opening? It isn't even showing an error message or anything, I just click the game, the cursor loads for a bit but then nothing happens
There should be a folder in the Stardew Valley install directory called 'Mods'. Any mods you download should be in there, in their own folder. If it's not there, just create it. :)
hi um the game works perfectly then a few minutes in everything goes black and white and i can control everything but cant see anything, basically the characters turn black and the environment turns white so im controlling a black box on a white background.
That is what I did. I don't have a problem using it so I wrote "just so you know" at the end. Useful suggestion since mega is really safe and fast compared to other links.
(running on windows 10 HP PC) This got my game working - in the stardew folder, go into the redist folder, i installed vcredist_x64, then installed xnafx40_redist, then I ran the stardew valley icon (chicken icon) as an admin and it worked. Hope this helps

or Incompatible mods. Make sure your mods are up-to-date. Check your mod folder, cut-paste them all to a new folder outside the game folder, and re-add it one by one to find out which one is causing the problem. Then you can delete or update it as necessary.

Longer quasi-spitballed answer: It's a framework developed by Microsoft regarding games (either console or mobile via Windows phone). In other words, it is safe to install. A quick google search or a browse on wikipedia can confirm it.
That aside, XNA is good to have if any other games will need it.

You will find a folder called Stardew Valley
Inside the folder, you will find startup_preferences
If you don't find the Stardew Valley folder, that means you've never launched the game. You have to launch it atleast once to find it
delete all but simplex.bin and unarce.exe
open the command prompt
write:
unarc x simplex.bin
its extract the game in the current directory
then when it finish just delete the simplex.bin and unarce and its redy to play

I also have an issue every time I load in where my screen will go all white, or partially white with no assets. This seems annoying but is really no big deal, simply when you see the white screen Ctrl+Alt+Del, then return back to the game.

After you install SMAPI, there's should be a new folder which is "MOD" in the game folder. Then you can begin for searching the mods (I usually search it in https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/top/), but you have to login first to download files from them.

I've noticed a lot of people talking about the game not loading or the exe not running, even when running as administrator!
Fortunately, there's an easy fix to this:
Step 1. Go to _Redist and run/install all of the exe's in that folder
Step 2. Go to _CommonRedist, go through both of the folders to download each exe.
This should fix your issue!

EDIT: Generally, if you are a gamer you will have almost all of these installed. That's why, if you want to save time, try only installing What is in the XNA folder in _CommonRedist. If this doesn't work, then try all the other exe's.

It's only 400mb anyway. Saves are stored separately and automatically work with newer version.
By it freaks out i mean that it stops showing images and it goes white and black
(it only does that, the sounds and all the other staff are fine)

Download a program like Evolve or Hamachi that enables VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network), and play that way through a LAN game. Both of those programs basically make it so that you and whoever are in your parties / networks are both counted as being on the same LAN. Instructions on how to use either of them are readily available on Youtube. This works across ALL games with a LAN multiplayer option.
Also bear in mind that there is usually a "network error" when using Evolve for the first time, but can easily be fixed by, again, watching Youtube.

I can play online with my friends by playing Hamachi.
start for me i have the XNA and the DotNet for it and it shows up in
task manager for 10-15 sec then close any ideas

You gonna need to create an account once you install it, then create or join a network
then your friend put your hamachi ip (he clicks copy ipv4 with right click on you) or you put his ip if he is hosting

you will need hamachi for that.
the host needs to create a vilage using the host option, the other players need to be in the same network on hamachi and then use the join option and put the host's hamachi ip there to connect
i had problem connecting to my friend and i changed language to fix
also make sure you have stable connection with you friend on hamachi, right click on his name and select diagnose
red = no connection
yellow = possible connection but high ping
green = ok
hamachi will give you either of the three

the save files are not located with the game files so you don't have to worry about them
It isn't even showing an error message or anything, I just click the game, the cursor loads for a bit but then nothing happens
This got my game working - in the stardew folder, go into the redist folder, i installed vcredist_x64, then installed xnafx40_redist, then I ran the stardew valley icon (chicken icon) as an admin and it worked. Hope this helps
